They use high pressure sales, bait and switch on materials, poor workmanship, nasty bully attitude, then resorts to harassment texting. He even called other companies scammers for offering a long warranty on materials and labor. This company did not complete the fence because I fired them, and hired another company to complete it. Dustin lowered the initial price and I asked to change from pressure treated pine to cedar. He charged more for the upgrade and sent me the proposal. The worker came with a helper who ended up quitting after 2 hours, so the worker was only person working on 80 foot long fence line. When some of the new post were set, only 1 bag of cement was used and some posts were not set in line. Not all the post were set before the fence was constructed, poorly. Top of the fence boards started 4 inches above the top board, 20 feet farther away they were 10 inches above the top board and the middle board was missing. The materials used was cedar tone pressure treated pine not cedar as quoted in text and proposal. I spoke with Dustin on the phone and he argued I was not watching his worker enough and I was causing problems. The next day the worker showed up with a helper and took all the boards off the fence to add the middle rail that was omitted, then Dustin texted he instructed his worker to go buy prefab panels from home depot instead of building to my specs. After texting back and forth Dustin called and cussed me out, so I fired them, wrote a check for partial work and hired another contractor to complete the fence correctly. 2 days later I saw his secretary drive by and Dustin texted minutes later to see if I had written a Google review for his deception. Which I had not. I texted I was missing some boards and the gate hardware and he insinuated that because i live in the city someone stole them. He even stated he knew for a fact his guy leveled all the posts and left all the materials when he himself never set for on my property to check the workmanship. I texted him to quit harassing me. He has now redesigned his web page to change wording and pictures and the length of his warranty.

I am very disappointed with Billy Beard Electric. I have used them many times over the years and…read morehave recommended them to others who have asked for a quality electrician. Recently we had a handyman doing some work at my home and he had an issue and thought he put a screw through a wire so he stopped work on the ceiling fan, we called Billy Beard Electric to come out and assess the situation. The staff that visited the home said there was no issue and no screw through a wire and installed the fan but said that the handyman had burned up the motor in the fan and it would need to be replaced, and then gave me a $125+ dollar invoice for the service call. Then after a new fan motor was purchased we called someone to come and install the new motor and found not only one but two screws were through wires in my ceiling. I called Billy Beard as I was frustrated that his crew was told there was a possible screw through a wire and they said that wasn't the issue, after informing Billy Beard of the issue and asking if he thinks I should owe this bill or not the response was "pay what you want but maybe Billy Beard Electric shouldn't do anymore work for you". Not the resolution I was hoping for, I will pay for this bill as it is obvious that Billy Beard believes I should pay for this and I agree that his staff did spend time at my home but they also left an issue that could have easily burned down my home. In time I may change my mind and use Billy Beard Electric again but for now there is no way I can recommend them to a friend or family member. Disappointed in this service.
