    Flags are up! Kept fish
    Rebecca O.

We went out for a full day of fishing on the Minerva II and it was a great day! My first time fishing in Cabo and there are a LOT of options. Minerva's was recommended to us by a friend and it was a great day from start to finish. Very organized beforehand and they had everything ready to go when we got to the boat at 6:30. We did the all inclusive which included the fishing licenses for the day. Also, all their boats have bathrooms! I would recommend bringing a hand towel/wipes because the bathrooms don't have sinks. Our captain, Esteban, was amazing and his son was working with him. When the fishing was slow he pointed out whales, turtles, and even a sunfish! The boat is spacious and very comfortable. They also provided drinks and food though we brought along our own as well. We caught a Dorado within the first 30 minutes, and finished the day with a Marlin. Well worth the $$ to go with them and we will definitely be back next time we're in Cabo!

Beautiful creature! I fully respect and honor the good fight it gave us! All muscle and the color was just gorgeous

I was in Los Cabo's on a cruise in April and we asked local sport fishing boats where we could get down deep water lures.. the sent us to Minerva's! So glad they did because after talking to ruby inside we bought several items we wanted and I took their card home. Flash forward to June and I reached out to Marcos one of the owners and he helped me book a charter with them for my husband as a Father's Day gift. They helped me pick a month that wasn't in hurricane season but still peek for marlin and dorado season. They kept in contact and gave me tons of maps and details before we arrived so I was comfortable and confident we knew where to meet the boat. I booked hotel and airfair early and gave it to my Husband fully expecting him to invite up to 7 of his best friends. But to my surprise he invited me! It was the best trip I have ever had on the waters of the coral Baja! November really is a good time of year! Luis met us at the dock and finalized payment, Victoria was our captain and our deck hand whom I will just call J was absolutely amazing! Growing up fishing my husband and I are very familiar with fishing on a boat this size how ever we usually have at least two deck hands for six rods.. nope! J and victor worked in perfect harmony.. we limited out on mahi-mahi/dorado witching the first hour after leaving the port. We hit our first of three marlin within an hour after and four hours in caught a Massive keeper.. a good hour fight later we pulled it in. It was then we noticed why it was such a good fight.. during one of its many leaps into the air it shook the hook from its mouth and it hooked its sail.. because of this it had free rein to spool the line over and over again. Unfortunately it's fin was damaged badly. Our captain (and we) believe deeply in catch and release of bill fish and sail fish! However the injury we cause would mean this beauty likely wouldn't live long so we made the right choice and honored its life by stopping fishing only four hours into our day trip and turn back full speed (the 27-30 miles to port) to get this beautiful fish prepped and frozen. Minerva's had this all coordinated by the time we hit the docks and the staff picked it and or couple keeper mahi and took them back to be quickly cut into filets and packed so we could hand carry it home. We did not waist a single oz of the fish! And our friends and family will be eating marlin for most of the winter Having said that we know it's fishing and not catching.. being on the water.. watching the captain and the deck had expertly manage the lines.. watching the sun rise on the water.. the fish was a bonus! Being in that moment was worth every penny!

My wife and I booked this a fishing trip with Minerva with some friends. We were referred to them from friends of my wife that have been using them for 18 years and they love them. We showed up to the Minerva II at 6:30 to meet the crew. Soon as we meet them they offered us coffee and pastries which really hit the spot. They showed us where are lunches and drinks were along with the bathroom and how to work it. After running offshore for about an hour we finally reached our honey hole fishing spot. After trolling for awhile we got hooked up with our first of 5 stripped Marlin. My wife caught the biggest one and we were able to take measurements of them to get them mounted. I have done a lot of deep sea fishing and this is by far the best trip that I have ever been on. Also to top it off on our way in we were visited by their pet seal, Poncho. He jumped on the swim platform to get some fish. When all the fish were gone they said go away and he did. I would so recommend Minerva's for your next big fish!!!

The kind of tackle shop world-class fishermen seek out on their way to very lucrative tournament wins. Minerva knows her business, and the location can't be beat, close by the Marina.

Great day of wishing with Minerva's

Most recently, we booked the 4-hour sunset charter on the 60' yacht, and from beginning to end, everything exceeded expectations. The experience started before we even stepped on the boat. Communication leading up to the charter was seamless, organized, and reassuring. This is a company that knows exactly how to treat their guests. Setting the menu was easy and they were happy to accommodate our requests. The boat itself was spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully maintained. The yacht felt private and relaxed, with plenty of room to spread out, whether you wanted to lounge in the sun, sit back with a drink, or take in views from the front. What truly made the experience unforgettable was the crew. They were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and genuinely fun to be around. They anticipated every need without ever being intrusive, keeping drinks full and the energy light and enjoyable the entire time. The food and drinks were outstanding. For some in our party it was the best meal of the trip. Everything was fresh and flavorful, far beyond what you'd expect on a boat. The cocktails were excellent, and we are still dreaming about the watermelon juice. The captain positioned us perfectly to see some amazing whales and other marine animals. I saw the closest breach I've ever experienced. It feels life-changing to be so close to them. This wasn't just a boat ride, it was an experience. Relaxing, fun, beautiful, and incredibly well-executed. Without a doubt, one of those "we'll be talking about this for years" kind of memories. If you're considering a charter in Cabo, this is absolutely the one to book.
