I purchased a sectional from them 3 years ago and it still looks and feels new. I wish they would ship world wide so I could continue shopping with them. My wife and I purchased a special order sofa sectional. There was a mix up on a couple of the pieces, and the console piece was supposed to have USB phone ports. USB units were ordered, within a week we noticed the sofa sleeper mechanism didn't close right. We scheduled a service call, they came out and within a week our sales person ordered a replacement. It's been 4 weeks, we will see if they make good on their promise, we will be happy. So Minerva's pulled it off! It's 10-24-18 and a delivery exchange was set up. The delivery guys came out and brought the sofa sleeper and picked up the console, Installed the USB port and redilevered it. They let me know their names and that they would be right there if I had any questions. We were quite the difficult customers and very picky but they were professional with us. :-) the furniture deals were amazing and cheaper than those of others I've been too and very nice. Our new couch is perfect! The entire process from start to finish was amazing at Minervas! Julia was super sweet and helpful. Our couch fits perfectly and there were ZERO chemical smells which is something I was worried about. We purchased a host of items from this store in December. 1 chair was on back order and once they delivered everything they realized they forgot our glass. The sectional couch is horribly uncomfortable and started showing wear after just a week. They were nicely lined up perfectly in the store and when they put them in the house they are not lined up and when I asked the guy if it was correct, he started pulling on it and it still doesn't line up. The matching chair to the one we have is still not here after they told us it would be here by the end of February. The worse part is they are constantly avoiding our calls even after coming out to the house and taking pictures of the problems. It's been more than two months with no one returning our calls. Do not buy from Turlock Minerva's. They were so nice until they got our money and now they refuse, to take the defective couches back, to take care of their substandard furniture and refuse to refund us. BUYER BEWARE. read more

For the most part it wasnt a bad experince, the sales people I worked with werent to bad UNTIL I had dealings with I believe her name was Maria at the main store. Flat out LIED to be about calling to see if the material and color of the fabric I picked for my sofa and love seat were available. The first material I ordered was out of stock. So I went back in on a Saturday to pick and order AGAIN. Maria stays go to the sofa store of minervas down the block and pick my material and then have the girl (Julie- very very helpful)call her (Maria) and she'll call and see if its available... So we picked, julie called Maria, she supposed called to verify, yes its available so I switched to that material. Monday I get a phone all from raquel (another very helpful person). That material isnt in stock and I either have to wait 6-8 weeks or pick another material... That Maria flat out lied to my face that she called and checked on it.... I dont like LIARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont know if I will ever go back there. No integrity on Marias part.... Owners should look at this person very dishonest!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Took an elderly family member in to buy bedroom furniture. The head salesman...im guessing, maybe a manager, was rude. We asked specifically about delivery that day, and were told that if we paid cash, and they had the item, it would be delivered. At the close if the sale, he tried to weazil out of it by telling us WE misunderstood. I corrected him, and he waited until he had the cash in hand to snap back and be very disrespectful. He clearly understood he was in the wrong but couldn't let it go without having the last word. Promised delivery by 5pm, which turned out to be 7pm. In my experience, they DO NOT value your business, and would rather be insulting and small, rather than treat a cash paying customer with kindess, courtesy and respect. Give it a miss. read more

Bought couches from them, called because they were still under warranty; First I got a lecture about it being so close to the warranty expiring. She told me that they would call me in a week to schedule someone to come look at them; they didn't. Called me back two weeks later, while we were on our cruise (I was charged rooming/ International charges, because they left messages.). I called back the second I got off the ship and spoke to the gentleman that was suppose to come. He said he would come on Monday.....no show. I waited and called him again a week later. He said that he thought someone came out and that he would talk to the store. No call back. I called again, this time the store, someone took my message and said would give it to his managers. We visited the store 2 weeks ago and the salesman quoted us a price for a dining room set. I went in two days later to order it, and he informed me that I misheard the price, then insulted me. He was cocky and rude. I left without buying the set. This weekend I purchased the exact same dining room set from Ultimate Furniture in Oakdale for $600 less than Minerva's original quote, and $800 less than their marked sales price. Best customer service ever! Bought our dining room table. When it was delivered the next day it the delivery guy noticed a chip on corner of table. Left that table with us and delivered a new one the next week! We were so happy that we went back and bought a new sectional! One day in Merced we decided to visit Minervas in Merced, Found a picture I wanted for my living. Not sure it would fit in the space I was thinking of. Manager there sent it to Turlock so I could first go home measure before buying. Now I don't have to drive back to Merced! Love their selection and prices. read more
