Food was great! We had steak wedge salad and curry chicken. Server was nice and attentive. She admitted she was new and she definitely upsold Items but just watch how she says it. "You are only getting the salad?" Ambiance was interesting. I know they are going through a remodel so interested to see what that looks like. Each room was painted different and photos on wall were not making sense. The divider in middle of room looked tacky and not sure why you have a Christmas tree in lobby.

Wanted something that was walkable so we ended up here and am so glad we did. We were seated quickly and staff was friendly and attentive. Chicken breast Oscar had a ton of flavor and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The shrimp was large and the entire dish worked! The red velvet brownie was the perfect ending to the meal. Great flavor, hot and cold, overall a great bite. No big ice cubes for the old fashioned so we settled with a manhattan. Definitely would go back to try other things - reasonable pricing.

Terrible service right from the beginning. Grilling me because I wasn't ready to order my drink. Disgusting over salted onion soup. I couldn't keep track of how much water I was drinking because they filled up the cups every 5 seconds. They took my cocktail and didn't even offer me a refill. The. Had the audacity to ask me how I enjoyed my meal? I said I want the ticket and to leave. If you care about customer service: don't go here. If you care about looks: go ahead and try it out. Would I recommend to anyone under the age of 65? Probably not. They definitely missed out on a generous tip. The lighting was so dark, know what you're eating before You buy it. It's giving Holister threw up in Greece.

What an amazing upscale dining experience in the center of downtown Sioux Falls! We tried the burger for the "battle" of 2026 and loved it. It was enough to share. Our server was attentive and friendly, even if we did seem to wait a bit long at times (no problem, we weren't in a rush). There is an extensive list of bourbon, rye, and whiskey, and a decent wine and beer list (including some local breweries). It's open on Mondays, which is great, and no reservation seemed necessary, though it might be on a weekend. Street parking after 5 is free. I'd recommend dressing business-casual, but you won't be turned away in less-dressy attire.

As a fan of Minerva's and a fan of the Godfather movie, I was looking forward to this years Burger-Battle entry. The family and I went by last night for dinner to try it. First of all, I want to say our server (Caleb) was great. But unfortunately the food was not. The burger was just a plane cheeseburger with pasta in it and the cheese stick was overcooked and completely hollow. Was it worth the $35? No... the best part of our meal was the bread and it was FREE.

Steakhouse in downtown. Lunch menu didn't offer a large variety of steak, but we were able to order from the dinner menu. My New York steak was super tender. My husband tried a Buffalo for the first time. He ordered a Ribeye medium rare. It was super tender and the flavor was great. Very earthy. It was a great experience. Service was great. Just wished that we would have gotten some information about the salad bar before we ordered.

HUNTER PORK CHOP* the au jus was very very salty but the chop was juicy and delightful

Pretty solid meal for a private event dinner. I ordered the pork chop with asparagus and a creme brûlée. Everything was tasty and the customer service was as good as you could hope with one waiter for 5 tables that needed to be served at around the same time. The pork chop was juicy (I had low expectations), the asparagus and creme brûlée were as expected; solid but nothing exceptional.

Downtown restaurant. Parking could be a challenge but I got lucky and parked about eight cars/spaces from the door. Truly special dinner. Fantastic service from Delaney (see photo). Seating host was a very friendly, accommodating person. They honored my reservation immediately which is always nice. But, the atmosphere and food were great too. Cozy, dimly lit. I was alone as I am traveling by myself to a few states, but it would make a nice couple dinner. I started with a really tasty martini, a little dirty, with lots of stuffed olives. Thank you Delaney for telling the bartender to add all the olives! I had the Walleye cakes to start. Yum, with just a hint of peppery goodness. The lettuce wedge had tasty bacon and an abundance of blue cheese. Nicely done! My pork chop was really really good, as were the peas. Needed to get on the road so I did not have dessert. Great meal all the way around. Thanks Delaney! I live in Austin a good part of the time and there's about 250000 restaurants. This place would be in the top 10 there in my opinion.

First visit to Minerva's. Tempted to try the lunch buffet salad bar but instead ordered the steak salad with avocado and wedge lettuce and the spinach salad with salmon. Both excellent entrees and the portions were very large. Salmon was prepared exceptionally well. Server was pleasant and efficient. Ambiance- seated in a booth in the main dining room. Highly recommend Minerva's!

I recently was able to dine at Minervas in downtown Sioux Falls. I had been in town for a conference all week and wanted to try out a local restaurant. There is ample free street parking right outside after 6 pm. I walked in and it is a longstanding restaurant with fine dining in downtown. The restauraunt pooked very nice. Placed nice variety of old music from the 80s. Has an amazing salad bar and soup to add to your meal for $12. Well worth it. Fantastic potato salad and fish as well as salad. All tasted homemade and great. Excellent tomato soup. Had great service. Ordered the chicken with shrimp and asparagus. Was one of the best servings of chicken I have had in a long time. Chicken was fresh and still juicy. Also enjoyed the fresh bread with dinner. Left very full and satisfied. Finally, amazing prices for the quality. Highly recommend this place.

This is a fine dining restaurant located downtown Sioux Falls on Phillips Avenue in the heart of everything. If you are looking for a local place with a long history in the downtown area, this is the place. This place is known for their service and their salad bar. Salad bar? Yes, make sure to get it with your meal! We went here at 6pm on a Friday night with a reservation. We asked for a booth ahead of time and they accommodated. This is one of only a few places in Sioux Falls that takes reservations. We overheard that time was 20-30 minutes for people without a reservation. This is a fine dining restaurant so most people dress nice, although not mandatory. The service here is always great. They have dedicated servers filling water, which is a nice touch. It seems filling beverages is a lost art at most restaurants nowadays. The restaurant was updated around ten years ago and has a classy look/feel, located on a historic building in the heart of downtown. It's attached to Paramount bar which has live music and great martinis. If you are waiting to be seated, stop at Paramount for a drink or sit at Minerva's bar. If you don't want a drink, even walking around outside and looking at sculptures or the downtown is a grammar way to pass time. The food was amazing as always. It came out hot and at the perfect time. My wife had a filet mignon, which I have had before and it was great as always. This place is probably the best steak house in town. I had the coconut chicken curry. It was good but I enjoy the steak more. I also like the duck. I had the salad bar with my meal, which never disappoints! We both had dessert and specialty coffees. My wife had the brownie sundae and I had key lime pie. Overall we were both happy with our meal. Prices were very affordable and even low for the quality of food and service. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quality sit down dinner. Reservations are recommended but not necessary.

The atmosphere is anything you want it to be. Casual-business casual-date night. Service is on point and staff is friendly. I normally do not get chicken out as I cook it on my grill so we'll but my server recommended and I went for it. Hollandaise sauce was perfect. Not too thin or light and perfect amount of crème. Shrimp were generous and the chicken breast moist. I also recommend the salad bar. Extensive selection of anti-pasta, salad toppings and even salmon. I was intrigued by the pomegranate punch and it did not disappoint. All for under $50 great value!

Went on Friday night, 11/3/18, and an acoustic duo (guitar guy, vocalist girl) were performing. Now, supporting local talent is cool and both of them had a reasonable singing voice but EACH AND EVERY SONG sounded the same. A shrilly, high pitched, vocal rendition of modern tunes that after awhile, grated on your nerves. It really ruined the evening there and I was begging and praying for them to go on break for 45 minutes. I probably will go back and try it once more but I hope mgmt really takes a good hard look at who they hire as 'entertainment'.

Hubs and I needed some "we" time during our family vacation this year, and stumbled upon the Paramount for some pre-dinner drinks. Big time loved the classed-up interior, waaay comfortable seating, and fireplace. The bartender was great: attentive and capable of making a good, strong martini. Bliss! All patrons seemed satisfied, and 'twas a quiet crowd during happy hour--which suited us perfectly. Can't speak to the food, but this place definitely specializes in clear liquids. I'd recommend planning out your grub situation and leaving a clean slate for Paramount to do what it does best.

Definitely worth the price tag!…read more My friend and I were craving Italian so we decided to give Maribella a try. We noticed it was fine dining and were ready to see if it stood up to its hype. Upon arriving, we were asked if we had a reservation-- we did. The restaurant has an Italian rustic yet modern style to it. We were promptly seated and assigned a friendly server. We had previously already has cocktails, so we were only there for food and that's what we ordered. I ordered the Nero pasta which is a squid ink pasta, drenched in a creamy lemon-garlic sauce, topped with seared scallions and some cherry tomatoes. The whole dish came together and wow, it was delicious. I believe this has been the best pasta dish I've ever had, well worth the $40 price tag on this. I had left overs for the next day and it was still just as good. My friend ordered the risotto de mare, seafood risotto and her dish was also delicious and was absolutely satisfied. We left Maribella satisfied and hoping to come back!

First time coming to Marbella's for a celebration! My partners birthday AND fire academy…read moregraduation. Open table asks what we are celebrating but there was nothing congratulatory or special of our day there from our waitress. One gentleman Graham welcomed us and did give special love, but he was just our greeter. He even came by walking by after our meal and checked in, he was the best! Our waitress was nice but not the most helpful on wine selections. I wish there was a wine sommelier who could have helped me further on decisions, I ended up with a wine I didn't enjoy unfortunately. I have a gluten allergy and I am so pleased by all the great food choices and allergy flag. For Friday at 6, I wanted the lamb risotto but it was sold out, I ended with the seafood risotto. That was very delicious; had one broken scallop, 3 shrimp and a decent amount of mussels. I think they could have added another scallop and shrimp but so be it. I needed some lemon and red pepper flakes to flavor it up but our waitress took FOREVER to even check on our first bites. I was waving at bussers and no one came by, after about 10-15 min my partner stopped her. My partners and mother's food were very delicious and they were happy with their meals! If gluten free, I would have gobbled that up! The food was good for Sioux Falls but not the most outstanding service. That lacked.
