Inside the hotel there is a vault and inside the vault is this cute cocktail bar with food. The drinks were delicious! I had the frosted core. The food was also great. Very cool atmosphere as it is set up walking through a vault on an old bank. The lobby is decorated with bankers windows which host a coffee shop and safe deposit boxes on walls. You enter the bar through the old vault walking through the large vault door. Once inside the bar seems to lack luster and the bartenders initially neglected to serve us for quite a while which was annoying since it was not crowded. Hotel is beautiful. But there's only about 20 parking spots. For the price of the hotel, we should be able to park at the hotel.

The atmosphere is really nice, which is somewhat refreshing for Sioux Falls. No offense meant, it's just every time I look up "best _____ food in Sioux Falls" on Yelp, over half the the results look as though they are in a (barely) converted Subway sandwich shop. I mean, I'm pretty sure the second best Chinese restaurant listed is the Hy-Vee, for God's sake. And the 5th was a pho house..... I will say I base this review after only having had 1 drink there. It was an Old Fashioned. It comes with ice cubes. This is a massive red flag for me. BUT, when I asked the server, he did say they offered the drink with a single, large ice chunk/block.....for $1 more. Hahaha. That's a first for me. We'll serve you a proper Old Fashioned, but it's an up-charge. So we ordered the fanciful-ice for $1 more. I couldn't taste the biters at all; it simply tasted of a whiskey on the rock. No Luxardo (or any other kind) of cherry, either. So, I'll stick with the joint up the street. Crawfords? Had one of theirs and it was quite good. More expensive than the Treasury, but it's worth it to me. I know that makes me sound bougie, but I AM bougie when it comes to the Old Fashioned. I don't drink a ton and when I go out, it's nice to have a nice drink or two in a nice place. read more

Oh my Lawrdt! Have you been?? You should. This restaurant is an amazing addition to downtown Sioux Falls. The ambiance of this place is stellar, you feel like you're anywhere BUT South Dakota, such a great way to get a vacation from home without leaving. I can't speak to the restaurant, but the bar is simply outstanding! The Treasury has a speakeasy feel to it in their vibe and how they craft their cocktails. Love this place. Always great service and fun drinks. Food is wonderful too! Also kid friendly if you have to take a kid. They make amazing Shirley temples. I wouldn't suggest taking kids here as it's a bar but we usually stay the night at the hotel before going to the airport and sometimes take the kids for a quick bite before bed. I visited The Treasury after finding it on Yelp and my sole mission was to try the deviled eggs because I am such a deviled egg lover and this one was so different because it had trout roe. I didn't know what to expect but I knew I needed to try it. IT WAS AMAZING! I also loved their Woodgrain 'Yes Man' pilsner beer. In fact, we all loved it so much we went back the next day to Woodgrain Brewing Company but unfortunately, this is a beer they sell exclusively to The Treasury, we found out. Popped in for a night cap on a Thursday while in town on business. Very cool spot. The theme and decor is super neat. They have some excellent cocktails and a decent looking food menu. We tried some shrimp cocktail which you can't go wrong with. The shrimp were nice and plump. The service was superb and I hope to make it in again next time I'm around. read more

Only spent about an hour in Sioux falls and this place made for a great pit stop. After a 10 hour driving day we were ready for a drink. This place has awesome cocktails in a beautiful space. The entrance from inside the hotel lobby is through an old bank vault and the inside is a swanky speakeasy vibe. There are about 4 tables outside with cute bistro chairs. They weren't serving outside due to how busy it was (and they said understaffed), but you could order at the bar and take it outside yourself. We did that for our drinks and food. A little strange on the food to come back in and check on it until it was ready, but it wasn't so bad. Staff was friendly! They did end up bringing out our last two dishes. I ordered the Wise Fool cocktail which was a mezcal drink on the tart/smoky side. Only faintly sweet. Hit the spot. For food, we tried the deviled eggs, Brussel sprouts, mussels and steak frites. The deviled eggs were good but not great... wanted a bit more flavor or maybe some spice. I love roe but almost felt like it took away from the deviled egg, or maybe the deviled egg took away from the roe. Not sure. The Brussels were a big portion and a little too caramelized for my liking but my husband really liked! Mussels were my favorite part. This froth was incredible. It had a big kick (like an authentic Thai spicy level 3-4) which I loved. This dish was on the pricy side for mussels ($25). Personally I don't think mussel dishes should ever be more than $20. They cap around there even in Seattle...but perhaps these green mussels are unique and I'm completely unaware? Steak frites was good. Steak was more medium well on outside but definitely medium on inside. Think it could have been cooked just a little less time but overall pretty good! The fries were also tasty. I was surprised it didn't come with ketchup but didn't end up asking for them because they were pretty seasoned and flavorful. Cocktails were an excellent value ($10-$12). Food was tasty but on the pricy side. Overall experience I would still say is good value. Nice evening! read more

There is a alternate entrance to the left that is ADA compliant. There is also an outside entrance on 9th St. Small food menu but very well done, gourmet. NOT the usual bar food. Full service bar with a fun cocktail list. Cocktail bar vibe, knowledgeable staff that wore masks because of COVID. Hand sanitizer spray was located at every table. The ambiance in the Treasury is that of an old Speakeasy, but a few of the bartenders here instantly deflate that feeling. While trying to place a drink order to take back to my room within the hotel, the bartender informed me that I could only order one drink at a time while the previous night there were no issues. While I respect why this rule may exist here, the condescending tone and the delivery of this message to me from the bartenders, instantly made me walk out looking for the management. Management was not on site to speak to, but I left my name and number asking to be contacted. The night went on, but by closing time, management has not contacted me. I hoped for the best to discuss this more, but with no follow up from the Treasury, I will not be returning to this establishment during my stay at the "Hotel on Phillips." Do better Treasury please as a potential premier service establishment here at the "Hotel on Phillips." read more
