You have to keep in mind, you're in Battle Mountain, NV. This spot isn't perfect, but boy is it good! Just moving here to northern NV from southern CA, I've had some good Chinese cuisine and was looking for it here in NV. The place we have in Winnemucca is not even worth trying, it really is that bad. So I had high hopes for Ming Dynasty. Walking in, the restaurant looks as though it was set up for dine-in, but the interior makes me want to do takeout instead. Having only come here for lunch, though, I always dine-in. I ordered a water to start, and explored the menu. The menu is very typical of a dine in restaurant. If you are looking for Chinese fast food, this isn't it. You have to order, and everything is made as you order it. No steam tables up front. I ordered the Beef Broccoli lunch special ($9.95, comes with your entree, steamed rice, 2 spring rolls, and a fortune cookie), and when it came out, it looked fantastic. The plating was nice, and everything looked hot. The spring rolls, however, we're still cold in the middle. Not frozen, but they definitely would have benefited from being in the fryer another minute or so. I have been back 2 more times, though, and it hasn't happened again. The food only took 10-ish minutes to come out, and my server was and always is smiling and happy to take my to go orders after. Overall this is my favorite place out of Winnemucca and Battle Mountain. Can't wait to keep going back!

If you fancy Asian food flare or if you're craving for Chinese food in a small town or let's say,…read moreyou want to simply try Asian food in Elko, NV, I strongly recommend China Garden. It is located next to Ace Hardware or Khoury, which is now Ridleys. Yes. China Garden is unpretentious. The flavors are really authentic Chinese. I have not tried their orange chicken. However, I always order their veggies and egg foo young (egg omelette) for take-outs. What I like about China Garden is that they never try to impress but to only serve good Asian food. The restaurant is not fancy but very clean and simple. Most of their business comes from take-outs orders. Before I discovered China Garden, I heard from a friend that he did not have a good experience when he tried eating in at the restaurant. He told me that the Asian lady was so unfriendly and unpleasant. That did not stop me from trying out this restaurant. By this time, the Asian lady warms up to me and actually pleasant once she sees you more often. She gets familiarize with you as patrons of her restaurant. Service is always fast. Food is satisfying. To top it all, China Garden is better than Chef Cheng, another Chinese restaurant in Elko. China Garden serves authentic flavors of Chinese cuisine. They're fresh and real authentic. It stays true to Asian cuisine. I hope, the owners read this coz they deserve a good review for all their handwork. I don't know the owners. I just thought of sharing my food experience so everyone can enjoy having an awesome meal.

My boyfriend and I came in for lunch after running out to the greenhouse in Lamoille. I really wanted Won Ton soup and their prices just made sense. Upon entering there were no other customers in sight and we were able to sit at one of only four tables in the whole dining room. I ordered Wor Wonton soup, egg rolls, hot tea, and my boyfriend ordered the Beef and veggie lunch plate with egg drop soup. Food came out VERY fast, we didn't have to wait long at all. Both egg drop and the wonton soups were very peppery. Like black pepper. Though I didn't see any pepper in the soup so maybe it's white pepper. Either way. It was to the point of being spicy. The broth was super bland other than the pepper almost like just water. It's only redemption was the won tons themselves which were flavorful and well made. It was loaded with veggies though I was sad it didn't have any bok choy. It had chicken beef and shrimp which was great! The egg rolls were actually spring rolls, and I don't believe they had any meat in them. Just veggie spring rolls. My boyfriend enjoyed his beef and veggies, though it was served on a paper plate which I found odd for a restaurant. All said and done it wasn't terrible food, and how cheap it is makes it worth it. But if you're looking for amazing Chinese food...you'll want to head on into Elko and hit up Chengs.

You walk up to the counter and they have prepared food that you can pick out like at Panda Express!! Seeing as how Elko doesn't have a Panda Express, this is an awesome option for us. If you plan on getting potstickers, let them know first because they have to make them fresh. We usually order two boxes because they are that good. This night I got Mayonnaise Shrimp, Beef and Broccoli, Half Chow Mein and Half Fried Rice and of course the Pot Stickers. One thing I really love about this place is they don't charge you extra for shrimp entrées like panda does. The food is always so good and really hits the spot for a greasy late night Chinese food plate. But the potstickers keep me coming back coming back time! after time. If you're looking for quick but delicious Chinese food in Elko, Great Wall is definitely the place to go!

The yakisoba noodles were a little on the over done side. The veggies were Crunchy. The only negative is that they gave me Teriyaki Sauce instead of Katsu sauce. $13.49 I ordered 6 chicken potstickers $5.49. The potstickers are deep fried. Each time we've visited, we placed our order, paid, and then were told after the fact that they were out of key ingredients--an unacceptable and avoidable issue that speaks to poor management and customer service. Most recently, on Thursday, June 5th, we walked in and specifically asked the cashier if they were out of any food before ordering. She assured us everything was available, so I ordered a tofu bowl with noodles and vegetables, and my husband ordered a spicy chicken bowl. After paying, we sat down to wait, only to be approached by a staff member informing us that they were out of spicy tofu--despite confirming its availability beforehand. When I was asked if I'd like to substitute it with chicken, I explained that I am a vegetarian, making the substitution impossible. After three failed attempts to dine here, we've lost any confidence in this establishment's ability to serve customers reliably. Teriyaki Madness needs to address their inventory issues and ensure honest communication with patrons. Until then, we won't be giving them another chance. I would appreciate it if management or corporate could reach out to discuss this situation further. Thank you.

So we wanted to try it for ourselves and we were so hungry from our 6-7 hour drive. I was surprised that we were actually seated right away. Customer Service great. However, as we were served sashimi and sushi, i was confused of the texture of the fish. The fish felt odd. I feel that they were altered. The texture of the fish really strange. I tried and tried and told my hubby what I thought about their sashimi. That's why, I prolly ate a lot of ginger sushi. I always do. I do not know their vendor or supplier, but it did not feel right. Their sushi, as i described them as Anime sushi. They're heavy sauce, and again, so overpowering flavor and too salty. Their veggies were really good though, really fresh. Am I an expert on sashimi and sushi? I won't say I'm an expert. But I eat,eat a lot, a lot of sushi and always prefer sashimi. I'm just a customer giving a true experience of this restaurant. I won't be going back. I won't recommend to family, relatives, friends, and colleagues.
