Mingo Creek Park is a beautifully maintained park that is perfect for a group of friends, a family outing, a walk with your dog, or even a date - if you come prepared. While there are plenty of restrooms throughout the park, they appear to all be portable toilets and do not seem to have running water. There may be facilities elsewhere with running water, but I did not come across any except for a small sink located near a building that looks like a bathroom but that isn't a bathroom with indoor picnic tables. That said, the restrooms I did encounter are probably the nicest portable restrooms I have ever seen. The numerous benches throughout the park are a welcome feature, making it easy to spend an entire day exploring the area. There are also plenty of picnic benches conveniently located along the trail if you come with your own food and something to clean your hands with. Much of the trail runs alongside a flowing creek, providing the relaxing sound of moving water throughout your walk. The main trail is wide, level, and stretches for about 2.8 miles, making for an enjoyable hike. There are also several side trails that branch off into more heavily wooded areas for those looking to explore further. One thing I would recommend is making sure you know where you are going before arriving. Cell phone service can become spotty as you approach the parking areas, which may make it difficult to coordinate with people who have never visited the park before. Loved this park! Took a walk on the paved trail and it was beautiful and peaceful. Everyone that I encountered was friendly and made sure to give a greeting. I checked out the covered bridge and a few of the park's streams and creeks. There's also a fun playground with a parking area very close to the bridge. Next time I'm planning on checking out the Hemlock trail. read more

This review is limited in scope to the annual covered bridge festival held here every Sept. Each year EQT Washington and Green counties partner with various covered bridge locations in their areas and host a two day event centered around the bridge. Mingo Creek park has the pleasure of having two covered bridges within their confines. The most popular is the Ebenezer covered bridge which has a lot of marketplace craft vendors, food vendors, and a dee jay on site. The other is located at the Henry bridge also within this park. The event is well organized and well thought out. Although parking gets to be packed they offer free shuttle service to the Ebenezer covered bridge from a farther location. Parking is in the grassy areas but they do offer handicapped and special needs parking a well. Be prepared to wait however when entering and parking. There are definitely long lines here! Once on the grounds they give you a free shopping bag along with brochures not only of the festival but about other businesses in the area. Some of the covered bridges allow you to bring your pets; this one does not. Reception is very bad here so you are encouraged to bring cash wherever possible. Should you find you don't have enough then they have two ATMs on site for your convenience. Restrooms are also on the grounds I was blown away by all the different craft vendors selling autumn and holiday merchandise. Food is located throughout the venue as well as picnic pavilions for you to consume your purchases. Staff is very friendly and you can actually walk through the covered bridge itself as well as soak in the natural beauty of Mingo Creek. I enjoyed visiting the various vendors. Ended up purchasing a few pairs of earrings and some homemade dog treats. The food selection was great and you could just smell the fresh sausages coming off of Country Accent. My favorite of course was Patti's pastries in Center Twp where they sold giant homemade cupcakes and ladylocks to die for! Believe me, this dessert shop is worth the hype! I was glad to pay my first visit to the area and am hoping to check out their covered bridge self driving tour of the vicinity when the autumn leaves change. read more

Mingo Creek Park is an awesome spot to spend the day. I am a huge fan mostly because of their off leash dog park area. I used to hike here pre-dog, but bringing my best buddy here just makes for such a great day! The park itself is a little difficult to find, but once you find it parking is easy and it's simple to find the paved walking trail near the creek, and the playgrounds as well. The off leash dog park area is nice, but I would love if Mingo would provide waste bags, and maybe some water for the dogs. I have been to other dog parks that have those perks, and it really makes a difference! The trails are somewhat cleared, but not clearly marked. With the amount of people frequenting the park it would be super great if the park service could come through and re-mark the trees. I've been here MANY times, and I still can't find a solid map of the park, and in that same breath I can say that we do get lost more often than not. read more

Mingo Creek park is great! My family and I always have a really nice time here when we have our picnics. We have a favorite spot by a covered bridge and a creek where we can set up shop and play cornhole, or football, or kick a soccer ball around. This park is really big. There's something for everyone. We came most recently in late September and there were a lot of people out getting pictures taken. It's very scenic! It's important to note that the cell phone service is very spotty, and you'd be lucky to have any service. It's very easy to get lost in the park too. Make sure you coordinate with others if you're going in a group so people don't go driving around in circles trying to keep together. Overall, beautiful park, we will definitely be back! read more

There's an observatory nearby at the park. We got to see Saturn and Jupiter. Brought my siblings with me during their recent observation event. It was short tho because they had to close the roof since it was getting cloudy. So cool! read more

Love this park. It's near our house. They have a 2+ mile trail to walk, hiking and much more. They have the Mingo creek that travels through out the park. During fishing season it's stocked with trout. A great place for kids to go and cool off on hot summer days. read more

Mingo Creek Park in Washington County is a very nice regional park. There are nice roads that meander through it, a creek, paved walking/riding trails, new playgrounds, and two covered bridges. There is a lot of nature as well. Each year in September, the Wasington County Covered Bridge festival showcases the two bridges - the Ebenezer Bridge and the Henry Bridge. The festival, at least at this location, is more about the crafts and food than the bridges, but it is a good time nonetheless. read more

This is a favorite spot of my four legged friend (and I). This park is tucked back outside Finleyville in Washington County, PA. The entire park is maintained so nicely - there's a babbling brook that runs through the majority of it and the walking trail is large and paved. Plenty of restrooms are scattered throughout the park along with playgrounds. This place has scenic covered bridges and even trails you can ride your horses on. I love everything about it ! Do yourself a favor and jump in the car for a visit to Mingo! read more

This park is one that stays under the radar I feel. I always come here for the mountain biking and it's fun to ride the trails. I mean I must say the trails here kinda suck when it comes to markings on where to go. But that's the fun part of getting lost and making routes when out exploring on two wheels. The park also has some horse trails, some sick old school covered wood bridges that are a historic mark, a outlook building way up on top of the park that's mostly ever able to be accessed by walking or biking cause the roads always closed up to there for cars more times then not. The creeks here for the park are trout waters for the game lands and are stocked regularly. The park also offers a few areas to play for the little ones. As well as a paved trail around the whole park for biking and walking or running. Cell service at this park is terrible no music, no maps, no nothing. But I still enjoy rolling out this way every once in a while to ride the trails. I highly recommend if you haven't been to this park definitely make the trip. read more
