Oxxo is a steal for drinks, quick food like hot dogs and nachos, chips, and drugs. We won't be buying nonalcoholic drinks out and about because this place is a steal in comparison! They are pretty limited, though. We came in looking for eggs, but they didn't have them, and we checked two different locations. For typical convenient stores needs though, go here and avoid the pharmacies and convenient store type places in the marina because it's super overpriced compared to Oxxo!

After a 25-minute wait (too long for salads, especially when we're Pueblo Bonito Elite members on the Premium meal plan), they brought us a Caesar salad (correct) and a spinach salad (WRONG!). My husband went to ask for my kale salad, and they told him it was no longer on the menu, which they showed him, and lo and behold, Kale Salad was no longer on the printed menu (nor was spinach salad)! He pointed that out and showed them the wall and the receipt, both showing Kale Salad. The girl gave a shrug and said, "We changed it." Fine if they told me when I ordered, but the just substituted a different salad without even telling me, then they gave my husband dumb excuses.

Yup, "Walnar" was my go-to out of the gates. Man, I forgot how crappy that place was...no bueno. Needing additional supplies, I decided to look for a local market to pick up some odds 'n ends a day after my arrival - found Santa Carmela on the map. It turned out to be a great little market - I visited twice (maybe three times?) Smaller quantities of products from produce, dairy, deli items (fresh guac and salsa), beer, snacks and Cabo Unico tequila! For me, it sucks to be in a huge market on vacation. I loved stopping by a smaller, local market with quality goods - that was Santa Carmela.
