The fruit and veggies are not all nice and shinny like at the grocery stores, these items look to be straight from a farm imo. Don't expect to find everything in perfect shape or that you don't have to look through the fruits or veggies and if you know, you know! Their items were a bit high but it's worth it when it comes to our struggling farmers!!! I'll buy more from them from here & out.

Misses are rare, and when something isn't right, they always make it right. What really sets this place apart is the knowledgeable team. They can tell you not just what something is, but where it's from, why it's special, and even how best to prepare it if it's new to you. They know which watermelon varietals are sweetest (and why), which tomatoes are best for different uses, and how to guide you toward the best choice of the day. We also appreciate the simplicity of the space. It's clear the focus is on quality produce rather than unnecessary overhead or décor that doesn't add to flavor or nutrition. We come in knowing our weekly staples, and we always look forward to discovering a surprise treat or seasonal treasure to add to the basket. We recently lived in Spain for a year and deeply miss the fruterías found on every corner, places that genuinely support daily health and well-being. In the U.S., truly good produce can be harder to find, with so much emphasis on mass production and appearance over flavor and nutrition. The Fruit Stand comes as close as we've found to that European produce experience. We're grateful this place exists and grateful for the care they put into what they offer. Visited this small mom-and-pop grocery market multiple times on our trip to Baja! Despite the small…read moresize, it is really useful to have on a stretch of highway in Primo Tapia where there is not much else going on. It was a perfect source for our food runs since we stayed at an AirBnb nearby. It's pretty dark inside where there is a wall of produce shelves with vegetables like cilantros, cebolla (green onions), rábanos (radishes), and yams. There's plenty of fruit like apples, bananas, mangos, pera (pears) and kiwi. You can find an assortment of household items from toilet paper to cleaning products to canned goods. Spices, chips and ice cream bars are also available. We picked up some fruit and toiletries on our previous stop. Next door is a bakery too, so your stop here won't be in vain if you can't find anything. The store is at traffic intersection and taxis are parked outside, so it's fairly convenient and easy to spot. If we visit again, we'll probably stop by!

They pretty much had 50% less apples than they did last year so they were trying very hard to get all these apples into our bags and home safely for our own apple cobbler and apple pie. We were able to fill up three bag bags of apples, small apples, but still very flavorful , Pippin and Jonathan's and some empires .. They do allow service dogs . Super fun activity however we were there on October 4 th Honestly, I think the season would probably be about done by now .. there's plenty to do and Julian. They have dirt parking. They estimate that the bag holds 6-7 lbs of apples. When we went they said there were 5 apple varieties but three of them were pretty picked through. This was the 4th day they were open for the season. It is a pretty small apple orchard. That being said, we were able to get a full bag although a lot of apples were small or ones that looked nice only turned out to have wormholes in them. Lots of tossed apples on the ground too. Parking is all in one area now which is better than previous years where there were multiple. Some food and drinks vendors right outside the entrance. They don't sell apple cider or apple cider donuts here sadly.

I did end up buying a bunch of items and ordered a fruit bowl from the stand inside. There was a bit of miscommunication about how to order. The person in the booth told me to order with the cashier. When I got to the cashier, she asked if I had already placed the order. I explained that the person at the booth directed me to her so I could order and pay. Meanwhile, another customer received their item and paid at the front, so it was a little confusing. I rushed through the store so I could get the fruit bowl started. I ordered the small #3 fruit bowl, but unfortunately most of the fruit in my bowl wasn't very sweet. On the positive side, the produce section was well stocked and prices seemed competitive. If we are in the area we would stop by again.
