I've had storage units here at various times and have never been so taken care of as recently with their wonderful new manager Tim. Past management was aloof, dismissive of their own promos that they couldn't/wouldn't honor, hiding behind corporate 'rules' that basically let them off the hook for providing good service. Tim has reversed all that and actually, eagerly, wants to provide great customer service. And he goes the extra mile to do so with a can-do attitude and a friendly smile. In Santa Fe, one has endless storage offerings on practically any street corner. Genuine customer service and keeping the place clean - honoring the promos - are what customers want. We have been using Mini U storage in Santa Fe on and off for about four years. Their service in New Mexico has been excellent. The facility is clean and well managed. If there is one comment I would have is that there is no automated way to close a unit otherwise my rating would've been five stars. This has got to be the cleanest facility as well as the best managed one that I have ever been in. My dad recently moved to a smaller place and needed a storage locker for several hundred bottles of wine. They are Santa Fe's only certified wine storage facility for the private sector. Climate controlled units are inside, with several locker sizes to chose from. They also sell wine racks and locks and have dollys for moving your merch into its new home. There is a room which looks like it is being set up for wine tastings perhaps. This place is just what Santa Fe needed. The main selling point though was Jordan, who went out of his way to go over everything they had to offer, and did so with a smile and patience as my dad asked innumerable questions. Hey, if you're a wine connoisseur you are passionate about your bottles, and it was great that the gentlemen there understood this and was just as enthusiastic to help answer all of his questions and concerns. read more

Climate controlled is the only reason this place got 1 star. How about excessive rent increases every year. I've rented there for 4 years and the rent goes up every year. Just got notice of another 15% increase this year. I feel ripped off with every increase. $75/mo for a 6'X6' ! Of course with those new units next door they probably expect lost of demand so they can get whatever they want. read more

Wow. I thought they were a good facility, I've had my stuff there for 18 months. Had a five dollar raise after four months. And after one year they raised me 50%! Not even funny. They email me all my receipts, but they sent a letter to the address that I had moved out of 18 months ago. Telling me of the increase. Which I didn't know about until my credit card got charged. I'll pay four times the amount somewhere else to be treated better. Don't go there. You can't trust they will stick with anything they say. The manager Jordan is great. The ownership not so much. Zero stars. And, I am not want to ever post negative reviews. But this one's got my blood boiling. Money hungry ownership. You can't tell me the costs go up for a storage unit. Every time I try 2 access my storage unit. There are rude people blocking me. Right now, I have been sitting in my car 4 half an hour. Waiting 2 access my unit. There are three vehicles blocking me from even getting 2 the doors. One truck is being filled with stuff. But the other 2 that aren't being filled are just in the way. They allowed us to store a POD longer than necessary, due to a mishap caused by movers we hired, (The POD not securely locked, hence POD refused to pick it up). I'm not exactly sure what the French guy below me is saying, but I've used Wagon Self Storage for several years (and continue to) and have nothing but stellar things to say about this place. The units are extremely clean, secure and the management is accessible, professional and remember you on a first name basis. Any time I have had an issue, I have been able to call management and they return my call within minutes. Also, extremely friendly! The pricing is normal for this area and with all of the cameras/security, I feel great knowing that my important household items are safe. I've used bot the outdoor and indoor-climate controlled storage units. I prefer the indoor units, well, because of the temperature, but the outdoor units do have the ease of load/unloading. Wagon is great. We are particular about service. We value good communication, honesty, convenience, consistency, cleanliness, etc. So Santa Fe can drive us a little crazy sometimes. This place is great. Dave is always around. He's easy to get ahold of. He will work with you when you need things (like keeping the row clear for a moving truck). He will help you upsize/downsize. He will work with you on finding the right place for the right price. The place is really clean and well lit, and not at all shady. I never saw any evidence of rodents/insects. You won't have to deal with any difficult employees (we rented a national storage place unit and it was sketchy, and we always had to deal with someone new). If you just want an easy experience that is one less headache in your life, this is a great place. It's worth the slight increase in price and the distance. read more

My sons school went all coronavirus and told our boy not to come back after spring break. We needed a place to store his belongings until school starts up again. St. John's had worked out a deal with Wagon self storage and I called them. It ended up that my boy ran out of time to be able to take his belongings there so we had to have a St. John's employee bring the things to the storage unit. When I called an Angel named Angel answered and was able to help me with everything including having someone who was not me or my boy drop off the belongings. This all was happening last minute and Angel was going off shift. Of course I was worried about completing the contract and other paperwork. Marlene took over and was every bit of an Angel as Angel was. The girls at Wagon Self Storage are a delight to work with. These girls are professional, happy, you can hear a smile in their voices. Not at all the people I have worked with in the past renting storage units. I recommend these girls and Wagon Self Storage over anywhere I've stored items in Santa Fe. The manager was amazing and guided me toward a storage unit that was perfect, the person who checked me in was fast, efficient and showed me how to use the gates, doors and physical location of my unit. We are moving to SF and needed a convenient, clean, clean!! indoor storage. We found Wagon SS and it was one of the best decisions we made. We were provided a 5x10 unit close to the outside door. The unit was indoors, temp controlled and next to the outside door was always a dolly and 2 wheeled flat trucks to assist with moving in and out of the unit. All of the people we met over the 6 months were pleasant. They even have a clean bathroom available near our unit. That came in handy with all the commuting between ABQ and SF. Security of the entire place is so good. I always felt like there would be no problems and there wasn't. Pricing was more than fair. Look for coupons but the management is always looking for ways to save you money. i am so happy to recommend this great business. read more

BEST BEST storage place ever ! They made it so easy for me to store my belongings, transfer them from another facility and they even have coffee ! Every unit is very secure and clean and well lit. I have already recommended Wagon Self Storage to my friends. The management was so very helpful and there was other staff on site patrolling and landscaping when I was there. AVOID! WORST managed and run storage facility in Santa Fe! DIRTY, and VERY, VERY expensive as well. The unit I rented had loose electrical wires hanging from the ceiling, several piles of concrete chunks in the front corners, and a large oil stain in right rear corner. I moved my vehicle out as soon as I made space at my own garage. When I went into the office a month or so later to rent another, similar unit, the supposed owner refused to accept his OWN coupon specifically from Wagon Storage, citing vague and unspecified "restrictions" which he apparently made up on the spot! I had a referral letter/certificate from a previous tenant for a very specific deal, and he REFUSED to honor it. There were NO restrictions stated anywhere in the letter!! The management at this facility is shockingly inconsistent. I have been told at least half-a-dozen contradictory things about their price structure by various front-desk employees. The alleged "owner" has replied with lies on google.com about this specific incident, including an OBVIOUSLY FAKE AND WRONG claim that he had some kind of crew who "cleaned" the unit I was assigned. I took photos of the filth! I strongly DO NOT recommend this business because of the deception and grindingly poor customer "service". I found a storage spot less than five minutes away for about HALF of what Wagon charges. Again, AVOID. read more

A coworker recommended the place to me and I have only great things to say about the facility itself, the people who work there, and the very competitive for the area rental cost. Everyone has been friendly, helpful, flexible and made it very easy for me as I first stored everything there in a couple larger units and now have a few things stored in a smaller one. Having seen and photographed the entire Wagon Self Storage facility, I have to say, 5-stars. My interest was in showing the facility and that's done...it's on YouTube - uploaded in 2013. What I saw (and you can see) are buildings and storage units that seem new. Their security, physical and electronic, has to be state-of-the-art and the Santa Fe P.D. headquarters can be seen from Wagon's office. Their staff: excellent. Just had a great experience securing a self storage unit at Wagon Self Service in Santa Fe behind Santa Fe Place mall. The managers are extremely friendly and they off a clean restroom and free beverages from a cold refrigerator. That's better than any storage unit I have ever rented. They even offered me the 2nd month free if I put my payments on automatic monthly charges. This also avoids late charges which I have had before in these type of places. Before you rent anywhere else, check this place out. I have a regular space but they do offer climate controlled as well. read more

I have used Wagon Self Storage for a number of years to store my RV, paying on an annual basis. The location is great near the south end of town, and they have easy access RV sites, both in a large dedicated RV area and several spots near the office entrance. They have very effective security gates, walls and video monitoring, and they bait for rodents that like to get up into the undersides of RV's and vehicles. The office is open during very convenient hours throughout the week, and the staff have been wonderful to work with. I highly recommend Wagon Self Storage. And their costs are most reasonable in comparison to what their competitors offer but cheap relative to what the customer receives all-around. Wagon Self Storage is AMAZING in every category: value, security, cleanliness, and service. If you want climate-controlled storage units, they have them in several sizes. If you do not need a climate-controlled unit, they have those as well. I first contacted WSS via email, and received a prompt reply. Later phone contacts were friendly and professional. When I went to the facility to sign the contract, the management and staff were all very efficient and kind. The rates are very reasonable, and they have available insurance also at great rates. They did inform me that sometimes homeowners insurance policies would cover storage rental, and if I had that coverage, I might not need other insurance. This made me know that WSS has integrity; they were interested in helping me get the unit and the insurance coverage that was right for me, not just what would bring in more income for themselves. Every time I go to my storage unit, I am greeted kindly. The management also periodically surveys the area to make sure clients are getting what they need and adding an extra level of security that creates a very safe and trusting environment. I have rented a storage unit at Wagon Self Storage for about three years now and do not feel that I could have selected a better place. The facility is always immaculately clean and well lighted. Security is excellent and the interior units are climate controlled (very import and here in the high desert, especially if you have art, photographs, film or any items that can be damaged by hot or cold). The staff could not be nicer - Dave, Tony and Tricia are all great - very friendly and professional and just generally a delight to do business with. And, if that isn't enough, there is always a refrigerator stocked with water and some sodas and a basket of yummy little chocolates provided as a courtesy to renters!! I believe that their prices are competitive for what you get. I moved here from California where I had been paying a lot more to store my mom's things for a non climate controlled "unit" - actually a trailer in a poorly secured lot (found our own padlock had been cut, too!). So, I consider their prices very fair for this area and I never, ever worry about the items I have stored there. read more

I rented two climatized storage units yesterday from Dave, the manager. I did a lot of research on Santa Fe storage locker facilities prior to choosing Wagon Storage, and my efforts paid off. Wagon is a new, modern, secure and clean place to store your household goods. Dave the manager, is patient and courteous and he came through for me with everything he said he would, he can be trusted. They have the equipment you'll need to make it easier to get your stuff from your vehicle into your unit. They have coffee and cold drinks in a frig in the office for thirsty customers. The location is perfect for me, across from the mall and there is easy access in and out. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the choice I made. I feel comfortable that my stuff is protected and in a clean place and I feel I can trust management, Dave, when he makes a commitment.
