But, right away, we…read morestarted to feel leery of his office's professionalism when they were making blatant errors, like misspelling the child's name on court documents and other mistakes they should not need us to correct. After an initial court denial from the court, we decided not to continue to pursue the matter, but their office filed suit without consulting with us on the path forward. We asked them to file a non-suit and end the case. That was all they did, yet somehow, they deemed our invoice come to a total of over $3,000. Most of the charges were the communications we needed to make to correct their errors, and of course the filing they neglected to confer with us about, then the non-suit filing. Not once did the attorney have to actually appear in a courtroom. On top of that, their office has ignored the majority of our communication attempts and typically did not respond to our early calls/e-mails for days. This is a very unprofessional office and are run as a money-grab scheme. Do not use Mark Lane.

Even going into my divorce with Mark all I was hoping for was not having to pay for attorney fees, which I thought I was gonna have to do not only did I not have to pay for my attorney fees, but I got a considerable amount in the settlement, which I did not expect at all, and it was because he dug very deep into my exes finances and found much information that I wasn't even aware of. I'm sure that Mark has his faults, as all attorneys do, but I can tell you from experience. I think he is a very, very good and professional attorney very caring, and although I may not have seen or spoken with him during the divorce, he was at every meeting that was called. He's a very very busy man because he is a very, very good attorney, not only does he handle divorces but he is now doing estate and trust settlements. I understand that that is really what he wants to do so he's trying to do less divorce cases but I highly recommend Mark if you want a really good professional attorney and expect a good outcome, you need to make sure to hire Mark. I hired her to handle a traffic ticket about a year and half ago. For over12 months, there was no…read moreupdate on my case until I suddenly received a court notice for a hearing. I contacted her office in November 2025, after getting the notice, to check on the situation. They told me to go ahead and pay the fine directly and assured me that I didn't need to appear in court. To be sure, I called the court myself and was informed that I was required to attend the hearing and that late payment approval was not guaranteed. When I called her office back, they told me to just send them the court payment, promising they would take care of it. About a month later, I followed up with the court only to find out that the payment had never been made. Now the case is on my record for 3 years. She only contacted me after I posted a Google review and promised to refund the fee I had paid her for the case, while denying that she had ever taken the case. It has now been two months, and I still have not received my refund. This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable.
