The paved walking paths twist and turn through the woods, making it feel like you're out on a little adventure, even though you're right in the heart of Edmond. What really stood out was how much there is for families. I watched kids racing from one playground to the next, each one built with different age groups in mind. There were people reading, picnicking, etc. Honestly, it was a slightly chilly day, but people were enjoying the fresh air. Since the last time I was here they've put in a volleyball area. They've also put up tape so that people can't play on the playground equipment, because COVID-19 can live on playground equipment for up to 3 hours, or so it is believed. It's too bad that it takes a pandemic for people to get out to the park. It's wonderful to see the world restoring itself so quickly as people drive less and tax the world less. I heard so many more birds than normal. That's the silver lining in the pandemic.

This park is quaint and has a playground area with goal posts and a tennis court. There are also benches to sit and watch your kids or to enjoy the peace. While it wasn't what I was looking for, I did use the area to walk around and reached over 1.5 miles from walking the outside area of the park. The lights didn't come on while the sun was going down so they may not work. Be cognizant of that if you plan to walk toward the evening.

The bathroom and picnic facility are usually in decent condition.
