I got my belly button piercing done here back in January. A few months later I noticed a bump starting to form so I messaged my piercer to ask if she had any suggestions on what to do. She told me to soak it in alcohol with a cotton ball. After googling this I found many piercers saying to never soak your piercing in rubbing alcohol, so I stuck with my saline solution and tea tree oil. I finally went to another piercer to get it removed as the bump never went away and it was clearly crooked. She said it was a surface piercing and was not done correctly. Sarah seems really nice but I wish my piercing had been done correctly as now I'll have to wait for it to heal to try and get it re-pierced. read more

My whole experience with Mint Condition Tattoo Piercing overall 4/5, but what made me give 5 stars was Herman (the tattoo artist) @https://www.instagram.com/hermanaldowibowo/. I can't say how happy I was with his results in the end. When we first talked about the tattoo he was very flexible, he gave me some feedback and we bounced back and forth ideas. We finished the first half of my sleeve literally 1 week after we came in and put out deposit in. A slightly painful 5 hours session but well worth it in the end. You can tell he really cares about not just his art but your own healing process also. He give you a step by step on how to take care of your tattoo during the healing process. I would book ASAP if you're trying to get a bigger piece, I notice he's been starting to get more and more busy. Pros: -NUMBING SPRAY (to get us through the pain, those sessions can be long lol) -He has a light hand compared to most artist I've been with. -Follows up on healing process -Great detail work -It's your tattoo! The piercer is very friendly and professional and clearly cares a lot about giving all of her clients a good experience, but every piercing I've gotten from her has gotten horribly infected :( I have had many piercings prior from other shops and i am very educated about piercing aftercare, but i think there maybe has to be something about the jewelry here that just causes me to get an infection every time. I pierced my nostril at a different local shop and the bar was way too long (this is after the L bar kept falling out). I returned to the original shop and they told me I had to wait another 2 weeks to a month. Mind you, how is the tissue supposed to heal when it keeps getting snagged on towels, reading glasses, sunglasses, pillow, etc? I went into Mint Condition, was gladly helped, they replaced my ring with the PERFECT size. It's been one week and my piercing looks 100% better. I got my both ears pierced at the mall 3 weeks ago and one of my piercings was swollen around it as well as irritated. I was looking for a real piercing shop with licensed piercings that can help me figure out why my right ear kept getting irritated. I found this shop and went when they opened on Sunday . Sarah right away noticed that the earring clasp was on too tight. She removed what I had in the ear, cleaned the area and replaced the earrings with a different pair that I chose . DO NOT bring children here for piercings! I brought my daughter (6 months) in to get her ears pierced, and to say it was unprofessional and traumatic for her is an understatement. The piercer (Melissa) did a horrible job, and spent 3+ minutes unable to get the back of the earring on despite the baby being held still. She had butter fingers/trembled the entire time and clearly just doesn't know how to pierce children because she lacked the speed and efficiency required to do so. After over 3 minutes she claimed the back was finally on, but the minute I got home I found the back had fallen off, so clearly it had never been put on correctly at all. My daughters ears neck and clothing had blood on them that Melissa didn't even bother wiping off. We weren't offered any after care instructions either. Every single other piercing place I've ever been to hands you printed after care instructions, ESPECIALLY for children. And lastly, the "piercing section" consist of an old bench in the back of the shop that literally looks like it was picked up off the corner of the street. Every other piercing place I've been to has always had professional chairs that lean back making it much easier to pierce. Overall terrible experience, and I would never return. read more

Me and my friend came as a walk-in with 2 tattoos in mind and he was able to help us right away and provide us with amazing work! I came back the next day with my boyfriend, because we were both so satisfied with my tattoo and his work on IG, that we wanted him to do our bigger oriental pieces, and again he provided us with tattoos that came out more than perfect. Just a couple miles from my school, Mint Condition has been my go to place for all my angsty teenage desires. So far I've gotten 4 piercings here as well as a small tattoo and they've all turned out great! Specifically, the piercings included two cartilage piercings, a nose piercing, and a bellybutton piercing and the tattoo is a small wildflower bunch on my ribs. The place is sanitary and everyone who works here takes good care to make sure you get exactly what you want. Anthony was the artist for my tattoo (and my sister's), and he was very helpful with both finding designs for us and accurately drawing them. Before I went in, all I knew was that I wanted flowers on my ribs, but Anthony helped me find some designs with a quick Google search and used photoshop to tailor it to exactly what I wanted. He used temporary ink to show me the position and what it would look like on me, and changed the design and placement until it matched what I envisioned. The precision was great, especially for such a small tattoo, and I would highly recommend him for your next tattoo. One caveat to all this praise is that he did seem to prefer larger tattoos, and made this preference very clear. This made me a bit unsure at first if he would take as much care with my tattoo as he would if it was something that aligned more with his artistic preferences. However, the end result was still amazing. The price was reasonable (I think $60 for a small tattoo and around $30/$40 for a piercing). Unfortunately they only take cash, but they have an ATM so it's not really a problem. Overall, I would highly recommend Mint Condition for your piercing and tattoo needs! read more

I guess 3rd times the charm. I have had three piercings done there 2 by Jacky and 1 by Sydney. I should've went with my gut feeling and waited until Jacky could do it. But I didn't. Sydney is just a bad. Don't waste your money or your time. She's a bad piercer she didn't even sterilize my mouth before the piercing. Luckily I did before I went. The piercing placement was wrong and she's unprofessional with a bad attitude. I'm curious if she's even licensed¿? Waste of time and money for a piercing I won't even wear. Unfortunately because of Sydney I will be taking my business elsewhere. They really should make sure that their ENTIRE staff is properly trained and not just a few. My family and I came today to get our daughter's ears pierced. They informed me when I called, that they don't make appointments, but we could walk in any time prior to closing (9pm). Sydney (the piercing specialist) greeted us and had me fill out the waiver and necessary paper work, and also took a copy of my driver's license. There was one person ahead of us, so we just hung out on the comfy couches and waited for Sydney to call our daughter in. Once we were called, she had our daughter sit down on the massage table and pick out her favorite studs. The piercings were very quick, and my daughter said she was surprised at how little pain she felt. I was also surprised, because back in the 90s when I had mine pierced at Claire's Boutique (an old mall chain), my experience was quite the opposite. Based on our visit today, 10/10 would recommend anyone using this piercing shop. One caveat: they only accept cash. ATM is available in the shop for your convenience. read more

The blonde girl at the front desk with yellow stars on her face (didn't give us her name) was extremely ignorant and rude when my girlfriend and I came in to purchase her jewelry. My girlfriend has been purchasing jewelry there since 2017 and knows which posts/jewels work for her. Yet the girl was insistent on not selling her the jewelry she wanted, claiming it "wouldn't work". Asked her for an alcohol pad after settling and she responded they didn't have any.. Asked again maybe in the back & she said "I don't know" but they are literally a tattoo/piercing shop? Annoyed already we proceeded to ignore her ignorance and ask the owner of the shop, who gladly went to the back and got two pads w no hesitation (very nice guy). Still such an unpleasant experience dealing with someone like her. Very knowledgeable about which ones heal easiest and how to take care of them. I started out with just the standard lobe piercings, which healed perfectly. I went back a few months later to have her do 2 more ear piercings, which healed just as well as the first ones. Really happy with how everything turned out.
