This is my second time coming to this shop for their Friday the 13th flash sale, and once again it did not disappoint! The deal was $31 + $9 tip, and they had about 75 sheets of designs to choose from. I went earlier this year compared to last time, which I definitely preferred. It's walk-in only and first come, first served. You look through the flash sheets, pick what you want, and put your name on the list. What I really appreciated was how organized everything was. After I signed in, they gave me an estimated wait time. Since it's CASH ONLY, I let them know I needed to pull money out, and the woman taking names was super nice she took my number and said she'd text me when there were about five people ahead of me. That was such a great system because I was able to wait outside instead of being cramped inside the shop. When I got the text, I went back in and waited comfortably. They have couches and plenty of standing room, so it didn't feel crowded at all. They had about four artists working, so the line was moving steadily. The shop itself was clean, spacious, and had a great vibe with good music playing. When it was my turn, I was assigned an artist and it happened to be the same one I had last time, Jessica! I loved that it just worked out that way through rotation. She placed the stencil, made sure I was happy with it, and got to work. We chatted while she tattooed, and before I knew it, she was done. It was such an easy, comfortable experience. Overall, I had a great experience from start to finish. Everyone was friendly and chill, everything was well organized, and the vibe was on point. I contacted robert through instagram, and he was very friendly and professional when i asked him for a quote in getting my dogs paw print done as well as getting an ugly little heart on my shoulder fixed. I went in to make an appointment and he was super nice and went out of his way to squeeze my small tattoos into his schedule! I hate when ppl take advantage of me. Like with a passion. Ghosted. I wont waste time describing the ghost which does offer a hysterical laugh but I will say... Don't take someone's deposit and act like you want to do the work the client is requesting then ghost them. Note that I was polite, patient and respectful. This post is based on the behavior of artist Buddy that works at the shop. So let this be a teaching moment. 1. If you take someone's deposit... give the client a scheduled appointment! Don't collect deposits and ghost. 2. Use the ideas and photos that the client sends you. 3. Respond in a timely manner. Unless you are an owner you are NOT that busy. And if you are that busy... quit dude. 4. If a client says they want the tat done "yesterday" that means NOT three weeks from now. Which also means be PROMPT. Be honest. If you can't deliver say so. Shout out to other artists who are professional at the shop. But "Buddy" is garbage and uber unprofessional. It irks me so bad I wish I could give negative stars. It doesn't take much effort to be a decent human. I even sent this trash bag of a guy my paypal link so he could pay me my deposit back. No response. Oh well. I'll take that L. read more

I went in earlier this week for a tattoo. My artist was Rudy. I gave him a picture of what I wanted and told him what I wanted to change on it. He showed me what he came up with and we got started. It has been 17 years since my first tattoo and I was a little nervous. Rudy was very nice and patient with me. He really did a fantastic job. I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. I was very disappointed with this tattoo shop. I made an appointment a month out to get a tattoo on my birthday. i even made a $40 deposit through paypal that was supposed to be put towards my tattoo once the service was completed. On the day of my appointment ( my birthday, the door was locked so I waited patiently outside the studio for half an hour. I called the studio 3 times, knocked on the door, and also direct messaged them through instagram but there was no answer. I also direct messaged them the same day for a refund on my direct deposit but still no answer. It's been a week and they have posted on instagram but still have not gotten back to me. I have been polite and patient but at this point it is completely unprofessional. i advice everyone to not give this place any business. I am opening a dispute too through paypal. read more

It's always a bit risky to roll into a tattoo studio without really knowing the artist, but we just moved to the area and the Claremont Tattoo Studio is nearby. Well, now that we know RUDY (@RudyFelix), we will most definitely be coming back for many more tattoos! First off, made the appt with Sabrina the apprentice there and she was so nice, helpful, and welcoming. She keeps the shop really clean and also played some solid music during the session :) Had the appt with RUDY to do a handful of small pieces and he killed it! Not only was he precise with his drawings but also executed clean lines and sticks to exactly what we asked for. He tattoos with a light hand - totally painless and all healed up in just a couple days! - and was super efficient with his work bc we were on a time crunch. I wanted to write this review because im incredibly sad about my tattoo that I got done by Will at this shop. Im not usually one to complain but this really hit to heart with me. I got a tattoo on my neck and repeatedly said that I wanted it really light, & to have both sides of my neck tattoos to be even. Unfortunately, I received the exact opposite. My tattoo is extremely dark even after peeling, & I have a really odd dark shaded spot all the way to my throat. I mentioned this to Will and he stated that he had it the way I wanted & then later decided to extend it out. "I didn't have to I just thought it would look better" without asking me. When you look directly at me it look like a black blob in the middle of my throat and I have cried every day since I got the tattoo, I don't feel pretty, I feel like it takes away from my face, & I can't even look in the mirror without crying. I expressed my feelings very nicely to Will and received no response. Not even a sorry. I never asked for my money back. I never insulted him. He just didn't listen to me as the client and what I wanted. He did what he wanted and it's on my neck. I now have to go and get these obnoxious black splats lasered off. read more

Good team of guys. Old school meets new school.... Rudy did my first and second tattoos.. Treated me with nothing but respect through the whole process. He was great, answered my questions and just made me feel comfy and at home. Clean place and sanitary.... sidenote. I'm a wheelchair user which can sometimes throw people off. However not here. Certainly not Rudy. I have a service dog that stayed in the waiting area because of sanitary reasons. I really appreciated that actually. But they let her stay where I could still see her and talk with her. I have really bad spasms which Rudy repeatedly reassured wasn't and wouldn't be any issue. It wasn't at all. We figured out how to deal with the spasms. Which are more painful than both of my tattoo sessions combined... Thank you Rudy & team..... Looking forward to some more work.. read more

Rob was extremely rude to us when a friend and I came in for small tattoos. Charged us $60 each for tattoos that are uneven. I asked him for red and he told me he didn't want to do it because it would fade or bleed which to me means he's obviously not confident in his own skills. He seemed extremely uninterested in what he was doing and very unfriendly. Got a scorpion and you can tell that in one of the claws and the tail that they are much thicker than any of the other lines. read more

Honestly it's been like 2 weeks and my tattoo is hardly healing . I have multiple tattoos and have always done everything perfectly with no issues . Neither one of the workers there would wear a mask or even gloves!! When I asked Rob, who was going to be piercing me, to please wear a mask he replied saying he refuses to wear a mask. He was also about to touch my nose and wasn't even wearing latex gloves. The other worker there with the giant earrings wasn't wearing a mask either, presumably for the same reason, which is why I ended up getting out of there. My honest advice: if these workers cant even wear masks and follow basic hygiene protocols, they're probably very likely to transmit COVID to their customers/infect them when they're piercing people. On the other hand I had a great experience at Mint Piercing so try them :) read more

My friend and I really wanted Friday the 13th tattoos, and we called a lot of shops with no luck. When we called Claremont Tattoo Studio, the person who answered was SO nice and friendly, and even though they had 30 people in line at 8pm, she encouraged us to call back in an hour. We decided to just come in at that time, and even though they were all booked for their Friday the 13th specials, we asked if anyone would stay after and do tattoos at regular price. Rob was willing to stay till almost midnight even though he had already done 67 tattoos that day! He took both of us and was so nice -- and did a great job on our matching UFOs. The shop was neat and clean even after all of the 13th madness. I am so impressed with the service and professionalism of this shop and will definitely be back for my next tattoo. I went to this place for some of my very first tattoos. Firstly, they're very heavy handed. Every piece that I have has blow out and has faded quickly. Customer service is terrible. Artists always has an attitude and don't like to work with you unless it's something they originally designed. There are plenty of other tattoo studios in the IE willing to work with you. I have now gotten other tattoos from another studio and the lines are Crisp and clean without any blow out. read more
