Have always been happy using Mint but hadnt been in in a while. I was given an estimate based on my insurance (supposedly). After work was completed my bill was higher than expected. I can live with thatto some extend. I find out from my insurance company they are no longer in my network, hence the higher bill. They didnt tell me I was no longer in their network. If they didnt know they should have because they acted as is they verified with my insurance company and provided an estimate based on that. Not ok. - You should've notified me when I made a visti to your office. Excuses don't excuse the issue at hand. You're not in my network so why even mention my insurance as the problem? I got no insurance relief and you knew that was going to be the issue before you did the work and that's not ok. I don't know what you mean I hung up on you. I never purposely hung up on you. You could've sent me a text or email like you do with other issues. It doesn't make sense. If you were in my dental network your argument would make sense but you're not. read more

My husband has given up going to Mint Dental. He had a small cavity filled on his molar on April 29, and went back a month later to tell them that it still hurts. Dr. Avery grounded some of the filling. (I believe that is a bite adjustment.) He went back again on July 25, and Dr. Ariana did the same thing again (grounded the filling and placed some densensitizer). Three months and three visits later, my husband still can't chew on one side. The receptionist said there is no charge for the July 25 appointment, but they charged our dental insurance for a limited oral evaluation. She really should have said it is covered by our dental insurance instead. I also had to call them and my dental insurance multiple times to check on the billing of my dental procedure after they mailed me a bill for an extra charge. My dental insurance said Mint Dental only submitted information for "Periodontal scaling and root planing-one to three teeth, per quadrant", but Mint Dental sent me a bill to pay the $50 difference between Periodontal scaling and root planing-one to three teeth, per quadrant and four or more teeth, per quadrant. Also, in case you think I'm a problematic customer, please refer to the email of the Patient Ledger that I requested to be sent to me via email on July 9. I also emailed my Explanation of Benefits on July 15 to ask for an explanation, and got no reply until my husband was back at Mint Dental on July 25 where he was told that the $25 charge out of $50 has been waived. Today was a big day for me. My first root canal.. on my front tooth . From the moment I sat down the staff calmed my nervous and that I could the handle this proceeded easily. Which was spot on. We chatted and laughed, they even went above and beyond to helps me with things in my personal life. I'll never go to another dentist. 100/10 would recommend. 10 stars! I am one of those weird humans who likes going to the dentist. However, I believe you too can become weird like me after going to Mint. The place is ridiculously clean and decorated with some very cool modern art. Calling to make a cleaning appointment is easy peasy with pleasant receptionists. Every dental hygienist here has scrubbed my teeth so clean. They take their time with every tooth and check to make sure your'e comfortable as the continue scrubbin'. The dentists are a sweet husband and wife. They are so kind always remembering me and are genuinely inquisitive as to how I am doing. PERK: The chairs have gentle massagers in them! When I had my permanent retainer come loose, I knew I needed to make an appointment but was a little hesitant due to COVID-19. I had already skipped a March appointment because of pandemic fears, but Mint Dental made me feel safe because of the amount of precautions they were taking. Before my appointment, I waited in my car (the waiting room is closed for safety) and they let me know by phone when it was safe to enter. When I first walked in the building, I was asked a series of questions to make sure I have not been exposed to the virus in the last 14 days. All the staff in the building were wearing masks, but my hygienist and the dentist both wore N95-grade masks and face shields while they worked on my teeth. In addition to this, all the surfaces in my exam room I touched were covered in replaceable plastic and they had a HEPA-air filter constantly cleaning out the air. If you have been putting off a dental appointment because of the pandemic, Mint Dental is doing their absolute best to make it safe for you. Brittani always does a wonderful job cleaning my teeth, and Dr. Lauren got my retainer situation taken care of quickly during my cleaning visit. I wholeheartedly recommend them! read more

I love this place! I got my teeth done, cleaned, and whitenes here and the whole process was smooth. I was nervous because it's one thing to get them and be nervous! I have extreme anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist, which is a huge problem since I have had tons of cavities and several root canals. It's always a dilemma when I move to a new city because it can take time to find a good dentist. I got very very lucky finding this place! This is a trendy, small company run by a husband and wife. Everyone is super friendly and they treat you like you're old friends who REALLY matter. They care about each and every patient. And, most importantly, they are skilled at what they do and can fix cavities virtually pain free. And for those of you who are terrified of the dentist they can even provide you the "laughing gas" for an extra charge. read more

I was relatively happy with the dental work and decided to pay for a $280 per year package that included 2 cleanings and an x-rays. I had the first cleaning and all was well. Upon receiving a notice for the 2nd cleaning, in December I called a few weeks later only to be told I could not get an appointment for cleaning until July 19th! They put me on a cancellation list and called me in February. I had previous appointments and couldn't take the appointment. I did take the next cancellation only to be charged $135 for the appointment. I explained I had bought the package, but Jamie told me I didn't come within the calendar year, even though they couldn't fit me in. Pay up! To make matters worse, he gave my husband a DISCOUNT of $85 to make up for any issue it might have caused. He didn't offer it to me, quite making it look a bit like a scenario out of 1950. read more

I went in for a cleaning and was told I had a cavity under my permanent bridge and that the bridge would have to be removed. TWO HOURS later it was off. Dr. Avery was exhausted and so was I. I had no sedation and no tool was used to help hold my mouth open during that two hour ordeal. Immediately after removing the bridge (in 3 pieces), Dr. Avery left the room. Her assistant put the temporary on and I went home. No other work was done that day. I went to my next appointment about two weeks later. I asked Dr. Avery if she was going to fix the cavity and she said she already fixed it, which I knew had NOT happened. I am elderly so she may assume I am senile. Well, I'm not. I know when a cavity is being filled in my mouth. The x-rays taken by my new dentist also confirm that the tooth had not been fixed prior to installing the bridge. She put a permanent bridge over a bad tooth and I continued to be in pain. It was so intense at first that I had to take prescription pain medicine. I went back to her and she lowered the teeth on the bridge. That helped a little but the pain continued. I paid her $2,000 to get a new toothache. I went to see another dentist. He is going to have to remove the bridge again. Estimated cost is another $2,500. More if the tooth Dr. Avery failed to fix has to have a root canal. This all started on November 24, 2020. Here it is two months later. I am having to pay another dentist another $2,000+ and I am still in pain. I'll preface this by saying I'm a veteran and have some trauma related to my job in the Army. Pulling teeth is a tactic used by the terror network I was assigned to, and since then, I stopped going to the dentist out the anxiety that it created. What sent me in to Mint was severe swelling of my gum thanks to pregnancy. Yes, pregnancy. Who knew 10% of pregnant women deal with this? Apparently I'm one of the select few and am just that special. Dr. Avery listened to my tale of woe from the military and explained everything she did to me before she did it. I was prescribed an antibiotic for my gum and then succumbed to the need for a cleaning. Brittany, the hygienist, was very gentle and understanding about my anxiety. Anytime I needed to move my arms (again, stems from my Army job), she obliged. The office is clean and relaxing. The staff is excellent. And after my cleaning, I felt comfortable enough to make another cleaning appointment 6 months later. No one tried to tell me I needed additional work done, no one tried to talk me into anything, it was just a caring staff that truly takes care of their patients. read more

Dr. Avery calls me a "regular," but you will be too once you start going to Mint! For starters--the husband/wife duo that own the place are fantastic. They are young, hip and really take the time to get to know patients. Plus, everybody that works there is like under the age of forty, so I really consider this the dentist for young adults in town. They play amazing music, work quick but efficiently and the best part--they work HARD to ensure their practice is sustainable and low on waste. The massaging chairs while you get cleaned don't hurt either. I am definitely a freak that loves going in for cleanings, hence my status as a "regular" but one reason i never skip a cleaning is so i can get my whitening tube! The $99 forever white deal gives you a whitening mold and at every cleaning you get another tube of whitening paste for your at home kit! Spend the money up front and get white teeth as long as you are a patient there. I would HIGHLY recommend Mint and suggest it every chance i get. They accept most insurances and i'm sure would be very affordable for those without insurance. read more

My only problem was that they were trying to tell me I needed all this work done and lots of money outta pocket when I have pretty decent insurance. I won't go back. Before I went to college, I went to the dentist and discovered that I had 5 cavities. It was a really horrifying experience that caused reoccurring nightmares about losing my teeth by the time I was 30. I immediately bought myself a sonicare toothbrush, introduced floss and made brushing 2-3 times a day a habit. The next task was finding a good dentist. Overtime, I found the perfect dentist in whichever city I was living in. In Tulsa, I luckily found the perfect dentist on my first try! I scheduled an appointment with Mint and was happy from the time I scheduled the appointment on the phone till the moment I left. My favorite things about this office are: 1. Comfortable, clean and modern office with subtle back massagers in the chairs 2. The super sweet assistant handed me an ipad to efficiently fill out my paperwork - I love that there was no paper waste involved and that no one would have to renter my info into their system 3. Awesome hygienists that take the time to scrub my teeth down and leave me feeling sparkly and new 4. GREAT dentists! I saw Lauren (the wife in the husband/wife pair that own this office). She was efficient but still cared about my teeth and took the time to talk with me about my xrays and discuss any of my questions. I highly recommend Mint if you are still looking for that perfect dentist that doesn't make you dread your semi-annual visit. No one particularly enjoys going to the dentist--and least of all ME, but sitting back and relaxing on their massage chairs while they efficiently (and gently) do their work isn't so bad at all! They listen carefully to any concerns and take the time to allay any fears. Every member of the team that I have encountered has been very kind and punctual-and with fun personalities! Dr. Jamie has been our dentist for the past 3-4 years. When my husband needed a bridge and the insurance would pay much, Dr Jamie took the time to write the insurance company on our behalf to ask them to pay more. That shows his committment to serving his patients. I also sent a friend over to him when she was having trouble with her bridge and he didn't charge her anything for looking at it. (most Dr would have charged for the office visit if your not their patient). Those are some of the great reasons my husband and I love our dentist. He's just amazing!
