I thought I would try Aspen Dental again and see if maybe they had improved their services. They have not. I made an appointment and also drove over there to buy some teeth bleach. When I got there, I was told that because now I was considered a new patient they could not give me the teeth bleach until after they saw me. Way to make it all about money, Aspen Dental!! I received a text reminder about my upcoming appointment every single solitary day up until my appointment, which I confirmed yes, and filled out my paperwork again now that I was a new patient. When I showed up for my appointmen the bot at the front desk said "We tried to call you yesterday to verbally confirm your appointment and since we didn't get you we canceled your appointment." What the heck???????? First of all, I have confirmed at least a half a dozen times all the way up until today And you still cancelled my appointment? And by the way, I never received a call. Way to go! Way to lose a patient! If you are thinking about using them think twice. I have had two out of two bad experiences with them and would never, EVER recommend them to anybody on the planet.

The staff handed out papers right before they opened at 8am for people to fill out. They never mentioned that this might be all they have room for. Then 3 hours go by without anyone checking on the line. At 10:45 they cut off the line where they had stopped handing out papers 3 HOURS AGO. It felt very inconsiderate. They've been doing this for 18 years it would be nice (since they had an idea) to mention that anyone without a paper might not make it and they can stay at their own risk. (It felt like they chose to leave people in line with false hope of getting dental care as a way to have free advertisement of this generous act) Warning: If you go to free dental day, and you do not fill out a paper WITHIN THE FIRST 30 MINUTES; know that you have a high chance of wasting your time in line. The doctor and his staff are knowledgable and friendly, remembering details about you from day one. They ask after family, don't fuss if you have to reschedule a time or two (or three or four...), and constantly check to make sure you're comfortable. I appreciate having a say in my treatment, too. Some dental offices can feel like auto body shops run by crooked mechanics who talk you into making unnecessary repairs. Not Dr. Theobald. He makes his recommendations but ultimately leaves the decision to get work done in your hands. His chair side manner is great, and he's got some great stories about his time in college.
