Beautiful farm with a beautiful sunflower fields. Have to have reservations to visit, but it was only $3 and included a sunflower and unlimited photo ops in a 3hr window. Can pick more for an up charge.. definitely go early when they open to avoid larger crowds. I got there right when they opened and pretty much had the whole field to myself to take my photos.

I visited Wise Acres a few weeks ago during sunflower season. The farm is easy to find and has a large parking area. There are a bunch of sunflowers to wander through and take photos with. You can also pay to cut some to take home with you. If you don't want to mess with cutting your own they have pre-cut ones for sale in the barn along with other flowers to buy as well. The barn is also where you can find snacks and drinks. The do have some farm animals as well, such as goats.

KIDS! In my opinion, I think if you live more than 20 minutes away, it's only worth it if you're bringing kids. It's about a 30 minute drive from uptown Charlotte. It's a cute farm off a beaten path in Indian trail. There is plenty of parking in the sandy lot. Wear shoes that you're not afraid to get dirty! The pizza they serve takes a while so order as soon as you get there before roaming around. You can order two kinds of pizza in one if you'd like. We did the Bee Farmer and Pepperoni. It was really delicious and well worth the wait. The dough was chewy and with the right amount of ingredients. I've never had honey on pizza but it was worth trying! You can order drinks in the barn across from the pizza place. Their slushies are amazing! We ended up ordering twice! I had the strawberry lemonade and then an apple cider one for the road. They taste like real fruit and not overly sweet. There is a play area and a train ride for the kids. There's a place to pick pumpkins and a beautiful sunflower field. I read there was a corn maze but according to the sign, it is sparse at the moment. Overall, it was a neat little venture outside of Charlotte for the weekend.

    Pizza options- order early!

Visited Wise Acres Organic Farm in October 2018 and loved it! There were so many things to do. There is a pumpkin patch for picking pumpkins (good photo opportunity too), hay ride, farm animals, and corn/sunflower maze. For kids, they have tons of play equipment, a corn pit, barrel ride and more. Pro tip: The tickets for the activities can only be purchased inside the barn. They have delicious wood-fired pizza, apple cider, and lemonade. You can watch the pizza being made and it is worth it! Depending on the time of year, I think they offer different food and drink options. One thing that I wish they had is an area that sells drinks only, or at least bottled water. It was an oddly hot fall day, and there were extremely long lines for food and drinks. If you would like to order pizza, order it early because the line can get long as well. What a fun option for some local fun in the Charlotte area. Get here early, as parking fills up quickly!

Such a cute Farm! To be honest I went because I saw the pizza in previous reviews & it didn't disappoint. The pizza was incredible. It was a cute farm with a nice maze. It was nice to go with friends but we felt a little out of place without children. Great spot for families with young kids though!

I had been hearing really good things about this place (especially the pizzas), so we decided to make the trip out there to get our pumpkin this year. We got there just before 11 and the parking lot was already full. We had to park at the elementary school down the street with many others and walk a couple minutes to the farm. We got in line for pizza at 11:05. I had read that they made pizza from 11-7, but there was already an hour long wait when we got in line, so I feel like they start earlier. We ordered the bee farmer (jalepeño and honey) and loved it. We didn't really taste much honey though. The crust and cheese were delicious. It was definitely some of my favorite pizza. We split one and it was the perfect amount of food. They will text you when your order is ready so that you don't have to wait there for it. We picked out a pumpkin while we waited. The line to pay with it was so long it took almost the whole time we waited for our pizza (over 30 minutes). We also got an apple cider slushie which was pretty good. There are a lot of other kid friendly things to do to -- hayrides, corn maze, etc. The corn maze got blown over by hurricane Michael though. All in all, I'm glad we went for the pizza, but o probably wouldn't go again unless it was off season because it was way too crowded. It felt like they could easily invest in more employees to help shorten the lines.

TEN OUT OF TEN!!! Wise Acres is SO fun! There's pumpkins, chickens, swings, hammocks, slushees, cider, and so much more! The people working there are so sweet!

1st timer! Came to check out this farm to see what all the hype was about for their pizza and organic-ness. *Pizza- After reading reviews everyone said to stand in line for pizza first. So as soon as I got there, I went to the pizza line which wasn't long at the time. The line was paused for 15 mins from taking orders. The board said 1:20 mins for pizza orders to be made. After ordering she told me it would be ready in 20 mins so I was quite surprised. It was ready maybe even faster than that. They text you when your order is ready, which is nice. I ordered two pizzas, the bee farmer $13 (honey & jalapeño) and cheese $12. Both were made in the wood fire pizza stove they have and came out hot. Taste pretty good...but I love pizza. *employees - very friendly! Only came into contact with a few but each were kind. One man was holding a bunny and walking around (near the petting area) talking to families and asking kids if they wanted to pet the bunny. A lady at the check out talked to us for a few mins and was very kind, thanked us a few times for coming out to the farm! Made us feel appreciated. *things to do - petting area, pumpkins of course, corn pit, and man do they have sooo many swings. Zip lines and all. The farm itself was way bigger than I thought based on pictures I have seen, and seemed like it's bigger and more spread out than other pumpkin patches. Which is good I guess for when they are at peak times. *pumpkins - we picked 2 very large pumpkins and 1 smaller pumpkin. 2 hot apple ciders and paid $45. Pumpkins are $.69 a pound. Pumpkins and apples all organic.

Bee Farmer . Delicious and fresh

The farm itself was great, semi-easy parking, and very family-friendly. But this review is primarily for the Wise Pizza: First time at Wise Acres and got there early around 10:30AM. Since we we didn't eat breakfast, we went ahead and got in line (already) for the pizza. By the time we ordered, the est. wait to actually get the pizza was 45 minutes, but I'm so glad we did and ordered early. Perfect timing led to a delicious Bee Farmer pizza! We could taste the freshness of each ingredient which they boast to be top notch. But yes, order early (even if you're not hungry) because peak times are 1-2 hr waits! After that, it may leave a bad taste in your mouth if you're not expecting it.

I've shopped at their country store a few times for good, hard-to-find items & gifts- their goat milk soap is award-winning. Went to the 2024 fall festival to play & pick pumpkins. (Writing this ahead of our upcoming festival visit and hoping for the same unique tasty apple cider slushy.) Anyway, I don't remember doing much pumpkin-picking but what stood out was the vibe-- starting with a sweet hayride in from the parking lot, through a forest, & out to a larger festival zone. Most workers were happy to be there (& it shows). We felt welcome- even tho we were there at the last event wknd & towards the very end of a hot day. Ambiance: I like that we were allowed to look and linger, shoot hoops, all kinds of stuff. Just mellow fun. (I shot hoops 'against' a little kid there with her granny- won't tell you who won.) There are several places to take selfies and pictures, & just celebrate Fall. We don't have small kids (pumpkin picking here was more for them I feel) but we had a blast enjoying all that was available with basic admission. To sum up: Played games, shopped, & visited with animals- including attempted feeding of friendly baby turkeys- which was a little tough-- long story. Loved meeting the little pony named 'Flapjack'? (Note: it wasn't roller coaster rides or turbo-charged pumpkin cannons- but that's not what we expected or wanted.) I liked that we could see other couples & many families making memories (& likely traditions) together. Looking forward to my visit on Saturday- I'll update with more pics.
