I was visiting my best friend and we spur of the moment decided to get our hair done. This was the first place we called and at first they didn't have an opening for both of us but then they called us back 5 minutes later and said they could make it work! Our whole experience was great, the staff was super friendly and gave us exactly what we asked for. Tommy cut my hair and Jazmine cut and colored my friends. First off staff is very sweet with that being said I have to also say professionalism not so great. I always ended up with color all around my face and some on my ears. Tommy ruined my wallet by grabbing it off the tray and stained it. I only found out after service was finished and I picked it up. No apology more of an oops.I offered to take it home and try dawn dish soap. I let him know later it didn't come out and instead of getting offered "What can I do to make it better I am soo sorry." I got a call 6 days before my next appt. saying I'm not happy and I need to find a new salon. Basically I am no longer welcome there and Tommy or anyone else can no longer do my hair. What a coward in my opinion the front desk lady gave me a check for the cost apologizing for him said he came from a different country but honestly he's a grown man and that's no excuse to just simply apologize and on your own actions. Julie was absolutely amazing!! I'm almost tempted not to tell people how much I adore her so that she doesn't get too busy for me! I went in with a vague idea of what I wanted, told her my personal situation and mental state and she delivered!! She took her time, helped me choose my color with care and attention. She got to know my personality and she absolutely nailed it. My cut is perfect. Absolutely perfect. Besides the fact that she is a master of her craft, she is truly one of the nicest people. I will be back - I have found my stylist. Besides that? I'm he rest of the staff was friendly too! We chatted and they commented on her progress. This salon is a family - you can tell. Well for my very first salon visit, I'd say my husband chose the right one! Andrea and Julie tag teamed my balayage coloring and did a tremendous job! I couldn't have asked for better hairstylists. I wanted to like Mint so very badly but I had my hair colored & cut a little over 2 weeks ago & have suffered ever since. My color is fading (already), my temples where I needed color due to gray hair is fried. Fried. It looks more like whiskers I never, ever! had this problem before. I also have a very predominant cow lick in the back that was also never there. I guess I should have asked this stylist if they had any experience because I think I could have gotten the same results at the Beauty College. Ugh! I'm driving back to Lubbock. I never leave reviews, because I think it's typically petty. But let me just save you some emotional trauma. I received the worst haircut of my life from Tommy. The bottom is uneven, there are chunks missing, and the "layers" look like a five year old cut them. Do not get your haircut here. Even sportsclips can at least make it even. See the pictures. Went for an eyebrow/facial waxing, & it was one of the least painful eyebrow waxing experiences for me. The lady who did the wax is very skilled & uses a good anesthetic cream. I wanted to go back, but the "waxing guru" lady isn't there every day. They accept walk-ins, but for eyebrow waxing it may be better to set an appointment, to make sure it'll be a day she is working. They also carry the line of Aveda makeup & skin care products. Great for stocking up! Expensive stuff, but worth stocking up on it once in a while. read more

Really disappointed!!! Was planning on trying this place out for the first time and was called an hour and half before my appointment that my hairdresser Nicole would have to reschedule my appointment!!! (That's some notice!!!) Unfortunately when I called and made my appointment 2 weeks out and I mentioned that I need it done soon for an event since I would be going out of town. Geneva does amazing cuts and color. Came in with color damaged highlighted hair and left with a shorter healthy look! I'm so excited to have the length and color back to normal. The salon was clean and Geneva is super sweet! read more

She listened and checked my hair in appropriate amount of time. Very relaxing shampoo and blow dry experience as well. Very pleased. Wish I had of went there the first time around. Just went to Mint Salon for the first time. My stylist, Tabitha, was so great! I showed her a picture of what I was looking to have done on my phone. She did a cut and color and it turned out amazing! Mint Salon uses only AVEDA products, which are my favorite because they are all natural. Tabitha styled my hair and showed me how to do it myself at home. I am so glad that I found this Salon, I finally found one in Midland that I like. It's right across from HEB on the corner of Midkiff and Wadley. I can't wait to show my hair off at work tomorrow!! read more

I called to make an appointment, and the woman who answered the phone sounded like she was on a cell phone in a windstorm. I asked if I could make an appointment for a highlight and a haircut. The woman on the other end of the phone sounded confused, and repeated "You want to make an apointment?". I said yes. There was then about two minutes of no response. I then asked "Is this Mint?". The woman said "yes". I then asked again if I could make an appointment. Again I received no response, just silence. I said "Hello?". She said "I'm here". I asked again if I could make an appointment and she finally responded that they would be closed for the next few days. don't know what's going on with this salon, but if they are this unprofessional over the phone I don't trust them with my hair. read more

I don't normally leave negative reviews but I have never been treated so badly at a salon as i was here. I expected much better. I had 3 appointments with Candy for cut and color and she did a great job with my hair each time. However, on the day of my 4th appointment with her she texted and said she needed to reschedule because she was not feeling well. That was not a problem and I gladly rescheduled for the next week. A week later I receive a call from the salon that Candy was not feeling well and would not be available. They offered to schedule me with another stylist and asked if i had long or short hair. I told them short hair and highlights and was scheduled for an appointment with Tommy. The following week I went in for the third time in three weeks. Tommy met me, looked at my hair and tells me he isn't good with short hair and not comfortable cutting my hair; and in addition no one told him I needed highlights! He said Candy would be back the following week and scheduled yet another appointment. On the day of the fourth appt., the salon calls again, an hour before my appointment and says Candy had to take her grandson to the doctor and would be a little late. Would it be okay if Jasmine started my highlights and then Candy would finish the cut when she got there? I would not have agreed to this normally but i was a month overdue and my hair was in desperate need of cut and color. When i arrived Jasmine introduced herself and said she would be doing my highlights, HOWEVER, she does NOT do pixie cuts. I asked if anyone was going to cut my hair that day and she said "let me check". She came back and said another stylist might be able to but I would have to wait. By this time I was livid, not only had I had 4 appointments scheduled and cancelled in 4 STRAIGHT WEEKS but i was also taking time from work to be there that day. I think I have given this salon plenty of chances to redeem themselves and needless to say i will never be back! read more
