Came here on a Friday evening and was pleasantly surprised by the location and atmosphere. It's…read moremore like a laid back cafe & bar then a restaurant. But first you gotta climb the steep stair up to the main area where you are greeted by a bar-look-alike counter. On the board, you see the summary of the menu, food on the left and drinks on the right. For detailed menu, grab the menu on the counter. On the left you will find an area with table & chairs where you can sit down. We tried the Hummus & Falafel 163kr and Hummus & Chicken 173kr plates. You will get a plate of hummus and another plate of pita, corn chips, beets salad & few other condiments. The hummus are not bad, a little bland & dry for my taste, I do prefer it to be a little more garlicky. As for the falafel, again, it was OK with lack of flavor & not very crunchy outside. As for the roasted chicken, it was decent & can get a little dry when dip with the pita. That being said, for the price, it really fills you up and I really liked the ambiance. Remind me of a hippy hangout spot with arts, photos on the walls and few knick-knacks for decor.

Awful!!! If you are…read morelooking for overpriced and poorly curated and done food you've arrived at the right place. We researched first and having a 4.6 rating on Yelp figured we might have a winner. Boy, were we in for a huge disappointment! Let's start with the Halibut. We are originally from the Eastern U.S. and know top flight North Atlantic Halibut steaks from Labrador and Newfoundland, Canada. Additionally we've spent a lot of time in Homer, Alaska which is nicknamed rightfully the "Halibut Capital of the World". We know the fish, size, how to cook and season. What however we were served was a machine cut Halibut piece, a small rectangular shaped slice rather than a meaty portion of fish. It was like a flatten Mrs. Paul's fish stick! We have never seen Halibut served this way and so small. It was served with a gargantuan wedge of semi cooked cabbage with sprinkled cheese on top with some accompaniment of a starch. The fish was also a tad bit "fishy" in taste and not representative of fresh Halibut taste and structure at all. I should have mentioned that before we ordered it we split a Calamari. The Calamari was "all hat no cattle" too, small more popcorn like breading than anything else and doubtfully fresh. Nothing special. But the pièce de résistance was the steak my adult daughter ordered. She had asked for it to be done medium rare, (the waiter never asked first how she would like it - a warning sign we realized from the rear view mirror!). Instead the meat was pan seared (at best) and rare through and through. When my daughter called the waiter over he took it back to the chef in order to correct. In only a few minutes he is back again and the meat is still mostly rare!!! At this point we simply just finished our wine and gladly skipped further damage and 'desert' altogether. The view from the restaurant is great as we sat outside, but the view is for free as it is a public walkway in front of the outdoor seating Abutting the city's downtown harbor. Please! Do yourself and your company a great favor, save your hard earned NOK's and try somewhere else, you will be mightily dissatisfied and disappointed by the lack of quality of the food coupled with top tier Scandinavian prices! There are many other restaurants along this public conveyance - and surely Oslo must have better than this!
