I initially was very excited to come to this wash because of the reviews.... Boy was I wrong . This was by far the worst car wash I have ever been too. I paid $25 for a full service wash which was supposed to include exterior, interior, vacuum, windows and freshener. Needless to say all they did was a crappy vacuum of the carpets in the front and back, nothing else except run it through their wash and dry. When I brought it to their attention they told me that because it was an SUV it would cost more. I didn't even get the air freshener. There is still bug splat on the windows, dirty cup holder, sand in the gears. It all comes with travel, but hey that's why I was paying them? read more

I headed to the Holliday Drive location first thing this morning for a full car wash before our family heads to Mayo in Rochester MN today. Our daughter will be having surgery and I was so scatterbrained that I forgot my wallet. Chelsea was so gracious about offering to letting me call in with my card number later, I started crying and told her what's going on with my daughter. I just got my car washed at the Locust St. location. Okay job at best but the experience was rated R for language. Two workers were in an argument with F bombs flying very clearly. The cashier told them they were being heard all over but that didn't stop them. read more

I have notice a steady digression in the quality of wash over the last 5-10 years in the downtown location. I paid over $30 for this wash, plus tip, and all I got was a spray bottle of Windex. Dripping on my seat, no less. read more

As soon as I started buying cars that were worth keeping clean, I started taking them to the original Miracle Car Wash. It's not the cheapest game in town, and frequently you have to wait in line somewhere in a parking lot across the street, but there's a reason for that: their reputation. Miracle (the original) has been around since the 1960s. Even some of the most basic services include vacuuming and washing the windows of your interior; from there, the car goes through a conveyor system which, on top of a wash, can include different types of waxes, light sealants, undercarriage washes, and tire treatments. At the end, your car is hand-dried by a small army of people and the shammy cloths that are sung about in their locally classic radio jingle. If it's not forecasted, you'll also receive a guarantee card that if it rains or snows the same day, you have two days to bring your car back for a free wash. Alas, others have tried to take the original Miracle formula and duplicate it -- hence why this location needs to be labeled "the original" as there is another Miracle Car Wash in town -- but most residents are dedicated to the oldest one as their quality is well-known. I moved away from Dubuque five years ago and after visiting family, this is where I made a stop to clean my salt-filth-covered car before driving back home. read more

I've been to Miracle a time or two, I recently went back for a work wash and interior cleaning and was really impressed. I asked for the top-tier cleaning and they did a fantastic job - wax and tire-shire, quick clean the interior and wipe the windows. The first time that I went to them was for a car that had some water damage from a horrific rain storm; the floor-boards were saturated and that musty smell started to set in. Within a few hours they had it as good as new. I'm always impressed with how detailed these guys always are, I've never been disappointed with their service. read more

Ok, so I was weary as the Facebook reviews were dismal. The down town location has a blinking light in front of the store if there is no wait. I pulled up, but quickly realized, on this busy street that there was no where for me to go. Luckily a lovely gentleman, Charles was outside. He politely explained that the front was for detailed cars and then pointed to a sign on the corner. You turn down the side street to enter the carwash. So my daughter and I navigated down this entry way and the magical doors opened to a gaggle of men waiting for me. Well, I was a little out of sorts, because I did not realize that they were all there and ready to open every car door and start vacuuming and cleaning! So, they let me grab all extraneous items that a toddler would throw in the back seat and place them in my trunk. We were told to leave car keys in and come over to a computer to choose out of 5 or so washes. Yikes, luckily, I wanted the best done because these roads are awful! Now let me start by saying, people come from all walks of life, however, it is how you treat people and get the job done is what's important. Yes, the crew looks rough, but they were kind and gentle. They brought me my wallet (extra) that I keep in the door pocket. They guided us to the front waiting room which was stocked with lots and lots of snacks, which my daughter quickly took on as her own. However, these snacks are not sold for mark up, they are sold for the enjoyment of the customer! The individual bag of Cheese-its was only 40 cents! By the time we purchased a booklet and sat down, the car was ready and shining! So impressed. They opened the gate for us to leave and my only complaint is the concrete pull-out is extremely steep. I was going 5 mph and my underside skidded. So, take care if you have a sedan. Thanks for being a great 1st experience! I hope it continues! read more
