My daughter has severe OCD, and processes information, depending on many factors. "He" then proceeded to say that her cognition has significantly declined and my daughter should immediately see a neurologist regarding Alzheimer's. (She's 37 and is very concerned about diseases and illnesses). Her father died from Parkinson's. "He" said this in front of both of us! My daughter left the room crying and exclaimed she would never go back there and see him. I said neither would I! Such blatant lack of consideration for our feelings, along with his lack of knowledge should be reported to the Director of Audiology. During the appointment, she asked the doctor some questions about her health. Instead of treating it as a preventive visit, the practice changed the billing code and charged her a much higher amount. Although the doctor assured her that she wouldn't be responsible for the extra charges, the practice still sent her a bill and eventually transferred the balance to collections. This has caused unnecessary stress and frustration. No patient should face collections simply for asking questions during a check-up. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.
