My mother suffered a devastating stroke that left her unable to walk, unable to move her arms, and barely able to speak--at one point, the only word she could say was "ok." As a family, we were scared, overwhelmed, and unsure of what her future would look like. What this facility did for her... truly changed everything. Today, she is now speaking over 100 words. That transformation alone speaks volumes about the dedication and skill of the speech therapy team. They didn't just do their job--they gave my mother her voice back. The physical therapy department worked with her consistently, day in and day out. Even though she's still on her journey toward walking and regaining full use of her hands, the progress she's made has given her something priceless: belief. She now knows recovery is possible, and that mindset shift is everything. Let's be real--no place is perfect. But what sets this facility apart is the effort, the consistency, and the care. In a place where patients are going through some of the hardest moments of their lives, the staff still shows up with compassion and professionalism. From the valet to the front desk, from housekeeping to dietary staff, management, and especially the nurses and students putting in real, hands-on work--you can feel that people here care. And that matters more than anything. This is not just a facility--it's a place where real healing happens. To everyone there: thank you for giving my mother progress, hope, and dignity. Please keep doing what you're doing--you are truly changing lives.

My poor mental health…read morehad let me down a rabbit hole throughout my teens and early twenties and I had exhausted every available source of bettering myself, ie, traditional therapy, medication, healthy routines etc etc. I was at rock bottom at the age of 23! And I thank god everyday I managed to find Johnnys clinic through friends who had gone there and had a life changing experience. I was there for an over a month and it was not easy! Being away from my life, sitting with the reality of where my decisions had taken me was extremely painful but I trusted the process and knew it would all pay off. Johnny tailors a specific day to day schedule for every guest at the sanctuary. This includes, yoga, massages, creative activities, and of course the plant medicine! This is all taking place in one of the most beautiful parts of the world, you're healed by the sanctuary but also by the nature surrounding you. The team looking after you are angels! There is someone to help and support you 24/7, you always feel safe and cared for in the sanctuary. The facilities themselves are nothing by 5* quality. Everyone has their own privacy so you can go through your process in a very undisturbed way. The plant medicine is the apex of the time spent at the sanctuary, and after 8 years I still speak about it magic, life changing effects. It operates on a spiritual and neurological level, it's impossible to describe the process but when you're done, you come out as the best possible version of yourself. My life continues only to improve since my life at the Sanctuary, I came in too scared and anxious to even think about tomorrow and today I'm working in one of the top Universities in the world and running my own business. I owe Johnny, the team and the sanctuary so much to be where I am today! Thank you!

I found West Hollywood Healthcare & Wellness Centre and couldn't be happier. The level of care my mom received was extraordinary and top notch. There are so many people to thank but EVERYONE from the CNA's like Ariane to the nurses to Jamie and Kandy in Social Services to Dennis in Activities and everyone in between gave my mom an exceptional experience. It felt like family. I was literally there every other day and they all knew me by name and took good care of my mom. She was happy and improved while there. The therapists for physical, occupational and speech therapy were outstanding and they kept me updated on my mom's progress. I even would go with her to help in her therapy so she would see me there beside her. I was sad to have my mom leave but she is now in a good assisted living that is taking great care of her. I am so thankful to WH Healthcare & Wellness Centre for all that they have done. I am truly grateful for finding a wonderful, caring place for my mom. I give them 5 stars and would highly recommend them to anyone needing a great skilled nursing facility for their loved one!

My uncle had some special needs and was helped by so many there. The CNAs were skilled (Especially Jacob) careful and throughout. Nurses always explained things to both my uncle and my aunt. The facility itself is clean, and they really took time to clean patients so the smells don't permeate into the halls. Call lights were answered fairly promptly which is huge. I think it's because the staff truly likes what they do, they like working with each other, and the Administrator Monica shows her appreciation for them. So, yes, I recommend this facility for the area.

You say you'll stay for 30, they say you need to stay for 60. While the longer you remain in a CREDIBLE patient-based (usually under the care of a hospital with doctor overseeing the program) the greater chance of staying sober, BUT if you stay 60, they push for 90. God forbid you announce after 17 days that you will be leaving in 30, the staff becomes very passive aggressive and vascillates between trying to threaten clients with relapse and ignoring them altogether. The staff has ZERO accreditations other than being in recovery themselves. HIPPA and privacy is completely ignored, and have no medical background whatsoever. They do not treat the clients with any compassion or respect, unless you/your family has money. There were three people out of 65 who were solely there for alcohol (no cross-addiction). They were handed The Big Book and that was it. Those with eating disorders, methamphetamine, or pill addictions had separate groups for counseling daily. Those three never had any sessions where they were able to discuss their addiction or were given any help. The entire group went to AA speaker meetings 7 days a week, but never got delve into their own issues. Kathleen made a point to dress down the entire group over unhappy staff and actually said, "We DO NOT CARE how you got here. We don't care about your past. Stop whining and listen to your counselors, they have heard every lie and excuse coming out of you and know you better than you know yourself!" Sobriety 101, addiction is a symptom of the problem that brought them to rehab. There was absolutely no communication with family members, which is essential as it is a family disease. One person who completed their treatment after 90 days, was back the very next day as they relapsed that night. They had something called Family Week, that only those who had been at the facility for at least 90 days MIGHT be able to attend, but it was months away. Family members were encouraged to take an entire week off of work and pay for a week's stay at a hotel where they held it. Some of these people's loved ones spent every last dime to keep them there and could not take off work for a day, let alone an entire week. Kathleen's "special talent" is to single out a client and proceed to rip them apart in front of their peers (and was said to do this at Family Week repeatedly over the course of the week). Nothing she said was in the vein of healing. It was 45 minutes of verbal abuse that left people completely traumatized. MacKenzie Phillips wasn't an active member of the program, she just wandered the halls, if she was there at all. Breathe has a lot of glossy pictures and empty promises (equine therapy...there was none, a swimming pool...clients were not allowed to use it, trips to the beach...nope, too much liability). The founder bought up all but two houses on a street in Laurel Canyon (you do the math) and it looks great on their website, but that's it. It is NOT a safe place to heal. ***Bottom line, if you or someone needs help with addiction, please find a PATIENT-BASED rehab facility, that encourages family participation through visitation and group therapy. The counselors should hold degrees in psychology, drug and addiction counseling, etc and have done clinical hours during their studies. Places that show you pictures of what looks like a 5-star resort with promises of gourmet food, a spa-like atmosphere, and an easy process do not have their client's best interest at heart. As with any facility, you need to do your due diligence, ask questions, and review their qualifications. If I can educate just one person on what to look for and what to avoid, so that they can help a loved one or themselves acheive sobriety in a safe and healthy environment, then I will consider writing this incredibly worthwhile.

The overall company was trying to get the most money out of my insurance as possible. I started off in the sober living facility and during Christmas time, I had covid over winter and had to take NyQuil and that was the first excuse for forcing me back into a rehab program that was not needed. My reason for being in the program in the first place was that I had 18 back to back surgeries over the past 4 years and was on opioids for a long period of time so this was a way to detox in a safe environment. There was no psychological addiction, just physical dependence to opioids. They lied about multiple addictions to medication(amphetamine addiction) that I was prescribed since childhood and used it to get more money through insurance. They also lied about an alcohol addiction, when I am medically intolerant to alcohol. When I got back to the sober living after this time I was talked about poorly among staff members and called "attention seeking" for asking for a few days off in order to visit 2 dying family members. Eventually someone in the group had consumed alcohol and told the staff which upset another client due to the unfairness and favoritism. This upset client gave me alcohol without my knowledge or consent and afterwards told the staff that I was drunk. This other client had been upset and doing things like this for 2 weeks prior to this incident. I believe he did this in order to prove a point that they will send people they dislike or with good insurance back to rehab in order to get more money. This client later confessed to me he had put alcohol in my drink without my consent and I had a reaction to the alcohol and was placed back into the rehab facility. I was put on addictive barbiturates and unnecessary medications for 2 days before my insurance denied coverage due to fraudulent services. The alcohol level was so low that there was no logical reason I needed to be there. I was then abandoned as a patient had had to find a new place to live in 2 hours or I was out on the street. Remember it's just a business. They don't actually care about you. They left another 2 of my friends on their own where one eventually fell into a coma following her abandonment. Something else they did was contact my pharmacy and told them never to fill any of my prescriptions ever from any doctor. I was no longer under their care at all. I'm a disabled person and this made it very difficult to obtain medication that I needed. This is a HIPPA violation for sure.
