Anton is an artist. The cut he gave me is a masterpiece. Sharp and even. I've been getting complimented by everyone from friends to complete strangers. I recommend him 10 out of 10. I've had hair cuts all over the country, this is easily the best cut I've ever gotten. Not even close.

Real friendly people. Happy with the cut. $20 for scissor cut. $3 shave with an electric. I'll be back. Check out the before and after in the pics.

Had a wonderful experience at Miracles. They really treat each customer like family and make sure that they have a good experience. I had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Antwon, who was extremely patient with me. Would definitely go back again.

Cut done by Anton!! The symmetry! The precision! I'm swooning over myself right now lmao

If there really *is* a god his name is Anton and you can find him at 470 Myrtle Ave! Anton hooked me up...like I'm feeling super hella proud to be black right now cuz of this cut! Yes he's crazy talented but best of all...he actually takes the the time to listen to the wants of his clients. Wild...I know! lol The AC was blasting and the vibe in the shop was super chill with reggae on deck. It doesn't get better than that! I'll definitely be back and I'll be referring my girlfriends to the shop as well!

I was a bit intimidated going to a barber shop for the first time but the guys in here are so light hearted and polite! I waited about an hour and a half for Anton (it was a Friday evening so I expected a wait) but honestly I was so nervous to big chop I didn't mind waiting and getting acclimated with the shop. All of the barbers were very sweet and reassuring about me cutting my hair off. When it was my turn, Anton asked me what I was looking for and I showed him a reference picture. He looked at my hair for parts ( I have one down the middle from wearing my hair back in a bun) and explained that my hair has to retrain the direction of growth so the part might be there for a bit. He asked me my input along the way and ensured I liked how it looked. I was so happy with the results and I love my hair!!! Thanks Anton and the entire shop for making this such a great experience for me!

And I LOVE, IT!.. WERD!!!! & so do "My People"... Ladies & Men be sure to stop by & check Antoine, out!... Guaranteed to be pleased because he LISTENS CAREFULLY to "YOUR specific request". Great Master Barber!...

I was struggiling go find a decent barber until I came to Mircales and met Dennis! He takes pride in his craft in making sure your cut is just right. He dosent rush you out of his chair and has GREAT TIME Management! All the while keeping a chill and classic Barbershop vibe.

Antoin gave me an awesome undercover napecut/undercut

Fast wait and precise cut. I walked in on a Friday afternoon and got seated within 30 minutes. Antoin is a genius with his buzz and razor. I told him that he was the artist and my nape was simply the canvas. With my full trust, he made an incredibly intricate design that did not disappoint. So happy with my new cut and I can't believe it was $20.

In the mix at Hamilton intermission. Thanks Dennis for making me look so dope on this truly special evening!

Place is all that and my barber Dennis has the clippers on lock. He operates his tools the way Michelangelo handled his paintbrush-with deft precision. I called the shop after I spent considerable time perusing the internet in search of a competent barber who focused on his clients and not every piece of a#$ that walked by the store. I've never left a barber in my life unless I was moving. But my last stylist was too busy running numbers, eating hoagies, scoping women, watching tv, and gabbing with every Tom, Dick and Harry that walked through the door. This prologue is relevant because, the attention that a barber gives to his client in the seat goes a long way towards developing and realizing the image and appearance you are trying to achieve. This is what Dennis does. When I first spoke to him on the phone, we talked for almost ten minutes. I was telling him about the praise customers were giving him on the shop's website. He was very accommodating. We talked about his hours and if he had a portfolio. He gave me his cell number and we stayed in touch. I get to the shop and he greets me enthusiastically. When I get into the seat we exchange pleasantries. He thanks me for giving him the opportunity to cut my hair. He was so genuine and humble. I showed him some styles I was looking at but he let me know that the images on the internet were highly stylized and not representative of a cut specific to each headshot and hair grade. Dennis came up with a nice concept and I just put my trust in his hands. Dennis took his time during every step of the haircut. We talked about how he got started. He watched You Tube videos of a barber and he was cutting the hair of his friends because he enjoyed doing it. He just loves what he is doing. He was philosophical about it, like why live your life doing something you don't enjoy doing? He is an entrepreneur in the truest sense. He was talking to me explaining every step of his work. His edge up work with the razor was super tight. He gave a nice suggestion about not taking off the entire beard from under my neck. His input was welcomed because I've never been offered a suggestion from my barber before. In the past, it was more like, this is what I want and they gave it to me. Dennis communicated with me and I learned about how committed he was to the customer's need to look his very best. When I got out of the chair I was extremely satisfied with my haircut. From my first phone conversation until the final swipe of alcohol and oil on the back of my neck, Dennis showed nothing but class, patience, and exhibited a professional demeanor. The shop is fun, lively, and clean. All of the barber's were cordial and every patron that entered was greeted warmly. The haircut was $30.00 with the beard trimming. This price seems to be the standard for a cut so I am good with it. I will be back to see Dennis bi-weekly. This is a young brother on the rise and he will be the man who keeps me looking on point as long as I am in the area.

I felt him getting increasingly agitated so I just got out of the chair and said thank you and he muttered something along the lines of "youre contradicting yourself and acting like I don't know what I'm doing". It's not that I didn't think he knew what he was doing. I just wanted to make sure I was clear before he started. Seemed very much like he had v little patience but as someone who had never been there before , I didn't go in wanting smoke..I just wanted a haircut. The woman who checked me in was nice though.

I thought it was a bit high, but I had been out of NYC for 7 years and accepted it, and that included a tip. " you're with Nick, he'll be done in 5 minutes please have a seat." 5 minutes passed like 20. I was chopping off my brown locks of which so many previous barbers and Salonistas have objectified "your grandfather blessed you huh," complimenting me with confounding wide eyes. I needed like Jesus to resurrect. Hairs a good place to start I had thought, probably influenced subconsciously by those characters on TV or films who chop off their all comfortable mane as to do shock therapy in the mirror or maybe I just wanted attention. Then I was in the chair at 3:30. I sheepishly showed him a picture of the cut that would be my dice toss. "High and tight" I was going all in like they do in Poker or those other Casino games ( which I actually have never played and don't intend to because gambling seems insidious and addiction runs in the family. ) His eyes jolted, catching him stunned then helplessly letting out a little smile like "this little white boy is really going to go for it, fuck it might look good on him" Then back to business, absolutely making positive with me that I wanted exactly the cut this 8 Mile looking kid with the wife beater in the picture had. I nodded becoming a bobble head giving an affirmative green light, consenting to be whacked and mowed. "Top too" "What?" "Top shaven too" "Oh yes. Exactly like the picture!." Still bobble heading before I ran out of that little barber shop like the back door of your neighborhood dive when you see the catfish your lazy tech fueled dating attempts brought in, as he, like a gourmet chef squinting at a fascistic and novel food swap request, made absolutely explicit the terms of my request. Business is business. Then he gently wrapped paper around my neck and then draped the classic robe, needlessly protecting a no effort Sunday dress , as Nick got right to work without those phony pleasantries and small talk of which I've never felt spurred to engage in but ,polite as I am, nonetheless entertain because, like a work of art or a meal, all that goes in to the work will show, and if a barber should feel ignored or made invisible, then this feeling would reflect in my hair. Thank god then the next half hour was silent as he sculpted with blade and razor, as if Sweeney Todd was on Lexapro, his only concern was on applying his tried craft to the customer patronizing his workplace, occasionally stepping back like a sculptor to take in the progress of his recent markings or very gently turning my stoic cheek left or right as needed to access the angle of attack. This was a man whose put in his 10,000 hours on the job because for him this high and tight fade was executed with a swift , calm but unflinching focus, like a routine ground ball to first base, take your eye off the ball and you may make an amateurs error, Nick doesn't take his eye off the ball and it seemed like the other barbers in there worked with just as much commitment and talent, providing excellent and tailored service to whoever should be their trustees . "Okay.. good?" Nick asked me after cleaning with a brush the loose little hairs around my scalp And then I just couldn't believe the mirror. I was Dorian Gray realizing the picture was of him. And I felt something unusual.. a latent puberty perhaps? For in that moment all the depictions of brutal masculinity we get assaulted with in the media suddenly made sense, not in the mind, but lower....in the soul I think. I left Elegant all the 30$ poorer (save for an undisclosed generous cash tip) , with a limitless swagger, feeling the all too late eastern winters 11'O Clock wind bitterly brush through my newly unclad scalp, gently teasing of what's to be a marvelous spring bloom. No, AI did not write this. No, I am no poet or author. I am a young man who's now just- a man. The simple ecstasy of my day. Gambling on a new barber while simultaneously impulsively intending on a suicide bomb of the hair-do, with merely a prayer that it may change things for the better. Oh and alas then Miracles as the master blesses you, the giver of a swag until now had been in a virgins shrouds. 10/10. Would recommend to all grooming mortals.

Unfortunately, the past three visits have left me frustrated. I usually book with Yuriy, who is an excellent barber and has always given me great haircuts. The issue is that Yuriy has not shown up for my last three scheduled appointments made through their online booking system. That system allows you to choose a specific barber and time, but if the barber doesn't actually check or honor those appointments, it defeats the purpose. The first two times this happened, I got a haircut from the other 2 barbers in the shop; one the first time, the other the second time. The results were ok--not bad, but not at the same level as Yuriy's work. The third time, Yuriy again didn't show up, and one of the other 2 barbers called him. Yuriy was apologetic, and asked me to come back the following day at a specific time, which I did, but once again he didn't show, and after waiting around for 15 minutes, I left. I don't mind trying different barbers, but once I found a barber I like I prefer to stick to him. if I book a specific person and they repeatedly fail to honor appointments, it feels unprofessional and unreliable. At that point, there's no reason for me to keep booking here when I could just walk into another shop. It's unfortunate, because Yuriy is truly very good. But unless the booking system and reliability improve, I can't recommend this barbershop if you want a specific barber to cut your hair.
