Jorge and his team are the best people to work with! They captured our wedding day (10/11/15) so beautifully and made it the best experience! We got our pictures online within 2 weeks, and received our highlight video 3 weeks after our wedding! Jorge took our engagement pictures as well, and helped style the most beautiful save the date magnet. He made the planning process for the day of very easy and everything flowed effortlessly. My husband and I referred Jorge and Mirage to a few of our friends , and they booked him for their wedding. We HIGHLY recommend Jorge and Mirage! Jorge is a scam artist. He hired me (camera op) to shoot 2 weddings with him a few months ago, then started giving me all sorts of excuses and lies for payment delays, then just stopped replying. I have posted about this on craigslist and several people have come back to me saying he scammed them too. I found Mirage Photography after extensive research. Although there aren't tons of reviews online (i.e. on The Knot, Wedding Wire, and Yelp), the reviews I did see were all very positive. I had a consultation with Jarot, who showed me some of his work, which was very well done. Additionally, Mirage offered a great price, which was slightly lower than my budget. I signed a contract with Mirage and was very confident with my choice. Things went downhill from there. 1. I continued to receive daily emails pitching Mirage's services, even though I had already signed a contract. Even though I contacted Mirage several times about this, the emails kept coming, even after I had paid in full. This was annoying and made me nervous that they didn't have me marked down as an official client or something. 2. Getting in touch with anyone at Mirage is nearly impossible. They do not answer their phone, and they are not quick to call back when you leave a message, if they call you back at all. 3. You may recall from 3 paragraphs ago that I signed a contract naming Jarot as my photographer. Imagine my surprise when, the day before my wedding, I get a call from someone named Jimmy from Mirage who says he is my photographer and wants to finalize details. I told Jimmy my photographer was Jarot. He had no clue what I was talking about and told me that Jorge had assigned him to my wedding months earlier. If Jarot was no longer available, why was I never made aware? Again, I have tried contacting Mirage about this, to no avail. 4. Jimmy arrived the next day. He didn't take as many photos as I would have liked. Several times I noticed that he seemed to be just watching the wedding/reception/first dance happening and wasn't taking photos of key moments. Thank goodness for guests and camera phones. Some of the poses he asked me to do were just weird or awkward. Anytime we did a kissing photo he would make inappropriate comments like "give me a real dirty one". The pictures he did take came out fine enough I suppose. 5. The straw that broke the camel's back and led to this review. I just logged in to my photo website, where my photos were meant to be available for 3 months per my contract. My photo gallery expired as of August 23, though my wedding was in June. I left a message on their answering machine (surprise) but doubt this will be easily resolved. I wish I hadn't chosen Mirage and that I had spent more for a more professional vendor. These are the only "professional" photos I will ever have of my wedding day and I'm so disappointed. read more

STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM MIRAGE ARTISTIC PHOTOGRAPHY!!! Everything started out great with Jorge. He gave us a great deal and extra discounts for paying our installments early. Unfortunately, we have not received our video, despite many promises from Jorge that it is "almost done." His phone number no longer works and he has been ignoring my emails and Facebook messages. I have now resorted to bad reviews and Small Claims Court to get my footage. I am highly disappointed and advise anyone reading this review to stay very very very far away from Jorge and Mirage Artistic Photography! read more

I never leave reviews for anything, but I have to for this. Stay away!!! Please do yourself the favor. Very unprofessional. Been stressful trying to reach the owner Jorge. He Replies with excuses. We even paid in full trusting he would do the job. We were wrong with choosing him. Save your money and go with someone else. No bride and groom should have to deal with this. We are so hurt we have nothing to show from our big day. We have been nothing but patience waiting for our photo album, short clip and video of the wedding. I realllllly wanted to give Jorge and his crew a great review. Unfortunately they really let me down. When we first met Jorge he was sweet and made us feel comfortable and the work he showed us looked nice so we decided to book him. However the Jorge we got the day of the wedding was almost a totally different person. He rushed us through everything and we didn't get alot of the shots we wanted. He made us feel like only his time mattered. It was hard to really enjoy ourselves in the process while someone was rushing us to do this and that. These are the only "professional" photos I will ever have of my wedding day and I'm so disappointed. We didn't get all the shots we wanted to take. When we finally got the photos, they were mediocre at best. It is also now over 2 months after our wedding and we still haven't received our wedding video after several phone calls and texts. Don't let his nice cover fool you!!! Did I mention that payment was due in full well before the actual date of service and we received multiple emails and texts about "specials" offering a discount if we made more payments ahead of time. SAVE YOUR MEMORIES! Our wedding was in May 2015 and we never received our album, parent album or video and he has disappeared with our money and our memories. All we want is our wedding memories and all we have are the photos from Facebook after paying him tons of money. Stay away from Jorge Valdivia, he will take your money and act like he is going to help you then ru away with you memories and your money. We are devastated and left with nothing. read more

I posted about him in a photographers group on Facebook and have had 10 different people contact me to say he's ripped them off too. Don't trust this guy, he'll scam you too. read more

Mirage Artistic Photography is a Scam! My husband and I paid 3800.00 in full for his wedding services. We were married July 9, 2016 today is May 9 2017 and we STILL HAVE NOT received our wedding album or wedding video along with other wedding materials listed in our contract. Jorge does not return our phone calls or emails, he has multiple business addresses listed on different websites as well as different phone numbers. We filed a complaint with the Better Business bureau to which he did not respond. Today I filed a complaint with NJ consumer affairs. We have since moved to FL however we will continue to pursue him. read more
