When we first arrived, we asked for a table for 12, and were told it wasn't possible--even though the restaurant was half empty. We even offered to split into two tables of 6, but were still turned away.
We tried again by having our Spanish speaker ask separately, and a different waiter agreed to seat the group. As soon as we all walked in and sat down, the same staff member who had denied us became visibly upset and, in a very sassy tone, said "those are the same 12."
She then told us we had to sit in the back if we wanted to stay together, so we moved. Moments later, she changed her mind again, insisting that because we had a baby, part of the group would still need to sit separately.
