For the price it's not a bad hotel--not perfect, but a great location. A good many of the rooms have a view of the beach and the ocean (if you ask, the front desk will do their best to accommodate you if your booking did not include this). The space could be better used. While they have some lovely antiques scattered about and the restaurant where breakfast is served has a wonderful view overlooking the beach, there are several bars and lounge areas that appear to have used to have servers that are just used for seating. The hotel in general needs a bit of TLC (there are some problems of mold, but nothing outrageous) and there is no room service after 10 PM. We were here for Christmas vacation and the hotel was packed, but there was still adequate parking on site. Some earlier commenters noted that the hotel is a bit far from town, but it only cost about R$25 by taxi to get there, so if that's a deal breaker, then this isn't the place for you. Otherwise the staff were, generally, very pleasant and mostly all were helpful.

Let me start with the few positives. The view from our room is very nice. You can see the green water along with the palm trees that make for really nice photos from the comfort of your room. They also had a decent breakfast buffet every morning which was nice. Access to the beach was great as it's private and the swimming pool is a decent size as well. Now as for the negatives. As soon as we checked in, we were told that there was no WiFi in the room. You have to go the lobby to get Internet. Secondly, the room itself was very old and falling apart. All of the mirrors had black spots on them and the sliding balcony door lock was broken and fell out so the balcony door wouldn't completely shut. Third, the hot water shower knob fell off and wouldn't stay into place. And finally the toilet bowl was leaking as well. We did mention the balcony door to the hotel staff but it was not fixed. If you're going to charge people a lot of money for a hotel at least fix the rooms. Overall I would not stay here again if I came back to Natal. I'd choose a different hotel even if it is a little further away from the beach.

WiFi is spotty...everyday me and the fellow guests would try a variety of tricks to hop on the world wide web. Customer Service was fantastic, and the restaurant actually has pretty good food (breakfast each day was spot on).

Sundays were amazingly fantastic for whatever reason, don't know why! Albergue is also a creperia or place that make fresh crepes. Fruit, chocolate, meat, every kind you can think of. They also have a full bar with some of the best Caipirinhas In town. The staff is top notch and speak English if you don't speak portuguese (learn portuguese!). The dorms are comfortable and spacious with large lockers and personal bathrooms. The best part is the atmosphere and the people you meet of coarse. No doubt about it albergue da costa is the best hostel in Natal.

This is a lovely boutique hotel located in the tourist town of Pipa, in Rio Grande do Norte. They…read morehave a total of 30 bungalows, and half of them have private pools. We opted for a bungalow with a pool and it was worth the difference in price (which wasn't much). The room had a king-sized (and very comfortable) bed; the room was large and very attractive; the bathroom has a tub for two. The manager told me the hotel has been open about 6 years, but it took the owners about 15 years to grow all the plants on the grounds. There are coconut trees, orchids, many flowering tropical plants and lovely lawns for you to enjoy. "Bupitanga" means "red land" in Tupi-Guarani (the language of the indigenous Indians of Brazil). They probably gave it this name because the hotel sits on a high red clay plateau above the beach (called the Chapadão, or "plateau"). The hotel manager Cleber, our waitress Carol and the waiter at the pool (Charles) as well as the staff at the reception were all incredibly professional, friendly and helpful and added to a wonderful experience.
