Thanks to DOMA I have to file as married for my state and single for my federal. The H&R software can't file them both electronically because of this. The state has to be mailed. Fine. You'd think if I'm paying $250+ for a service they might complete the service and mail the damn state form for me? OR they might give me a stamped envelope. IF you thought they might do that after I had paid them $250 for them to do my taxes you'd have thought wrong. At the end of my time I was handed an enveloped and the tax forms, told to put them in the envelope, stamp it and mail it myself. I probably wouldn't care so much if I hadn't paid them $250 to do my taxes for me. It took less than an hour for them to do the taxes. So spending $1 for a few stamps and having the tax professional fold the forms and stuff the envelope could just be considered good customer service. So, I give this location 4 stars and 1 star for the whole of H&R block for not completing the service and spending $1 to mail the form for me when I'd paid them $250 for the service of doing my taxes. Lame.
