People at front desk are terrible at their jobs, they're incompetent and lazy. I had a problem and…read morecalled to asked, they didn't help, they literally avoided my question several times when I redirected them back to the questions and was very in a hurry to hang up. Their answers never made sense. And when I was supposed to schedule an appointment, they gave reasons why I can't, like helloooo I fit into all the requirements and said I can't, and like how does that make sense when I was told to make an appointment at front desk from doctors/nurses; someone had to stepped in, and was like yeah I can. Front desk people making unnecessary problems and add on top of problems for patients. They not helpful, don't know what they're doing, and lazy. They need to get retrained or reevaluate for their job positions. It's been going on for way too long, very unacceptable and frustrating.

Administrative systems used to navigate scheduling alone are horrendous. And we're supposed to trust this organization with our sensitive mental health data and records? Avoid unless you have a patient advocate at the ready to coordinate your care.

Maria just called me today to see if I had any availability for group DBT sessions and was very kind, caring, and helpful. She was very professional and encouraging too! Her positive attitude was so uplifting to me during this rough season I'm going through and it was a great way to start my day to hear a kind voice who cared about me. Maria even gave me a good reminder that sometimes we can't change certain things, so even through it's challenging, all we can do sometimes is radically accept certain things when we have no control over them. That was a great DBT skill reminder for me and she was very empathetic towards me. I felt I just had to tell you all what that small conversation meant to me and did to uplift my spirits today. Thank you Maria! Also, I want to say I really enjoy my new DBT leaders Jessica Polson (on maternity leave now) and Libby Lyons as well. They have been very kind, supportive, and educational. I look forward to learning more DBT skills with them soon.

Office staff is incompetent. Waited an hour in the waiting room after they forgot to check me in,…read morethen an hour in the clinic room after they forgot to tell the doctor I was here. Ok fine, annoying but things happen. Then Dr Shuman met with me for 30 mins. She was cold and quick to disregard anything I had to say, and had no interest in hearing my long health history leading up to why I was there to see her. It was the end of the day and she was clearly treating me like it was my fault I kept her late at work. All of my previous Rheum's have taken the time to understand what's been going on with me but she was quick to just send me off to a psychiatrist. Fast forward a month, I get 2 rude calls from her assistant very early in the morning when I am unavailable, without stating the reason for her call. I brush this off as 'she probably wants me to make an appointment'. It would have been nice if she could have taken the extra 5 seconds to say what it was in regards to. Then a rude email comes through my online health portal from her assistant saying I need to call to discuss my medication. It would have been nice to hear from the actual DR about this. DO NOT GO TO Dr Shuman!! She clearly has better things to do and hands off everything to her assistants. I would take an extra minute to seek out a different Rheum.
