Now here I finally am in London enjoying my first time at Nandos and I must say it has lived up to its name. Nandos is a delicious Portuguese chicken restaurant in which you can eat their chicken in every form. From a whole chicken, to sandwiches, wraps, wings, and burgers. You can choose from mild to hot and as seen in my video they have plenty of sauces full of flavor to add to your food once it comes. I ordered the butterfly chicken breast with spicy rice and coleslaw. The breast was perfectly cooked and juicy! The crispy skin drizzled with their sauce. The spicy rice was flavorful and not too spicy and the coleslaw had a hint of horseradish in it. My favorite sauce that I added was the medium peri-peri with garlic. DELICIOUS! I HIGHLY recommend coming to Nandos when in London or wherever else they have them.

The staff are amazingly friendly - the girl on front of house was so welcoming, and explained it's BYOB as they've lost their license due to a mix-up. Music to our ears! After a quick dash over to the Sainsbury's we were all happily cosied up in a booth with some very reasonably priced vino :) The service continued to impress, with our waiter doing that nonchalant I don't need to write anything down thing (and getting it spot on). The food was also fresh and tasty which always helps, and my goi ga chicken noodle salad was just the flavours I'd been craving. The others all got steaming hot bowls of pho that were slurped down happily around me too. Given we got a steal on the drinks it was all very reasonably priced for the healthy portion sizes, even after over-ordering starters to share. What topped it off for me was they even let us sit there nattering away for ages as we polished off the wine until what must've been past closing, cleaning up around us but never once making us feel like we had to hurry up and leave. I can't remember exactly how it's cooked (it's explained on the menu) but I think there's a combination of steaming and grilling involved, leaving you with juicy, tender meat and a gorgeous crispy skin - exactly how it should be! Most restaurants on this stretch of Green Lane are Turkish or Turkish Kurd. Tara's owners are Kurds from northern Iraq, and the restaurant decor, influences and music reflect this. Although the food is similar to those of neighbouring restaurants - same mix of Middle Eastern starters, grilled meat mains - it's very well seasoned and subtly spiced. Special mention for Tara's bread - it used to come piping hot from a tandoor oven in the window. When we went back recently, the tandoor had vanished following a makeover. We were perturbed. But not to worry - when our bread emerged from the kitchen, it was exactly the same: hot, crispy, delicious. The best bread on Green Lanes. There are also a few specials - slow-cooked lamb shanks and other cuts of lamb served on flatbreads. Factor in the smiling, nothing-too-much-trouble service, the reasonable prices, and the complementary cardamom-spiced black tea to finish, and Tara really is a hidden gem.

We got a mix Donner he said they're making 300 naan so cannot give us naan, then because we were going to walk away he said the chef will make it....he then gave us a freezing cold naan with so less meat that the meat was finished in 3 bites, when I asked him for more he thought he will have to give it for free so said it will take 1 hour...what nonsense the Donner spit turns and in 2 mins the Donner is ready, when he realised I was willing to pay he gave me stale left hard Donner from the pot and charged me £5.95....we literally left that as it was so bad ... please don't go here....they cook at the back so you cannot see what they're doing unlike other kebab places that make things fresh Infront of you.
