This place was so fantastic that I returned multiple times during my time in London. Pasta was super delicious and flavorful and it seemed like the restaurant constantly updates their menu with new items so its worth returning to taste the new dishes! Appetizers and desserts were also delicious and the staff is super friendly as well. Definitely make a reservation!

This deli continues to soar and soar in my estimation. It's an essential stop on my visits to Soho From my myriad visits, I can highly recommend the wonderful large green olives, which are mild, buttery and nutty in flavour. They carry high class dried pasta favoured by Italians as they can cook it to al dente consistency - the best pasta has a rough finish in order to better hold the sauce. They also have a great selection of fresh filled ravioli, which are yummy. Fresh bottarga to grate onto pasta? Yes please. Fresh summer truffle? Yup, alongside truffle oil and other truffle products though they don't carry truffe salt, which I buy on my trips to the USA. Fresh pesto sauce? Yup The meat counter contributes prosciutto, pancetta and the hard to find lardo (preserved pork fat). There is top class cheese including some rarer specimens too Olive oil. Pannetone. Fresh beans. Passata. This is true food paradise they always have time to explain things and recommend products if you're a bit lost like me sometimes. They also take great care in packaging the food - the fresh ravioli is sprinkled with polenta to stop them sticking to each other Fantastic!

According to my sources this shop has been around for over thirty years and apparently it hasn't changed one bit. As soon as you enter you can understand why it has been around for so long. Now, it is longevity that makes the place so unique, it keeps the out dated tiles, but if it was refurbished its soul would perish. They have the best Italian meats and cheeses, an excellent selection of all your dried Italian basics and value for money with the olives, at 90p per 100g. It i always busy, with Italians and non Italians, they are very funny and very quick when being served. A definite recommendation is to get one of their made to order sandwiches, the parma ham and rocket with pesto in a baguette is a lovely combination. I'm raising my glass of red for another thirty! To Lina!

It was right next to where we stayed in Marylebone, in a nice neighborhood location. The ambience and service were good, but the food was a bit disappointing to me, especially for the price that we paid. I will note that our kids absolutely loved the place, but I think that's more about the types of items that we ordered, rather than the execution of the food itself. We started with some bread and tzatziki. The bread was really good and fresh, but you really don't get much for 5 GBP. The tiger milk bread is really just a roll. At least the focaccia came with some interesting butter and some cod roe. The tzatziki had a lot of strong flavor and was very rich and thick. Next, we got the smaller dishes. The okra was ok, but over sweet. In general, I think this restaurant leaned too heavily on sherry vinegar, as this was also a heavy flavor in the octopus later. The bucatini pasta was for the kids, and they absolutely loved it. For the main protein entrees, I'll start with the Octopus, as it's probably the dish I had the most challenge with. I just feel like the dish relied too much on the sherry sauce. I also think that octopus and sherry is a pretty weird flavor combination, and I didn't think they went well together. The octopus itself was cooked very well, and eating it alone was fine. Also, the accompaniment of blacked-eyed beans didn't really go with the rest of the dish, and they also didn't have much flavor or seasoning (although good, firm texture). The lamb shank was also disappointing. It wasn't as tender as expected, certainly compared to what we've gotten at other Greek or Mediterranean restaurants. The seasoning was also uneven within the lamb, with many bites actually dull in seasoning. It also didn't seem to have any particular flavor beyond just natural lamb and salt. Contrast that with the mushrooms that are part of the dish, which I felt were overly seasoned. The couscous was very good. Finally, the beef short rib was my favorite dish of the night. It was unctuous and rich. But what really separated it from other good short ribs that we've had is the crispy and textured sauce on top, which had some breading, chives, and especially these nice crispy pine nuts.

Absolutely delicious dinner!…read more We made reservations online about 2 months ago. 5:15 dinner worked well for us since we had a show at 7. We checked in on the lady with the tablet on the right side of the entrance. The left side is for walk ins. Super long line even at 5pm. But they were handing out small glasses of chai and something else. Anyway, the reservation line is short and they sat us right away. We wished we could have sat at the patio - it's covered. We didn't see that until we were already drinking. Well, next time! The ambiance - beautiful spot with lots and lots of tables. Every single one of them was taken. Tons of staff! They take good care of you here. Patrons vary, from dates to family dinners - the whole gamet! Come one, come all! The drinks came out right away. Dishoom IPA and chai. Beer came with a frosted glass. The chai was delicious! The food was amazing! Goan monkfish curry Ruby chicken Saffron cauliflower Garlic naan Basmati rice Everything was superb! We wished we'd known you can just sit at the patio and order and they'll deliver it to you, but you can also go up to each stall to order and receive a pager. We liked that it was an easy way to eat outdoors (which is what we tend to do while traveling) and that they had quite a bit to choose from. The stain glass window is also really gorgeous as you walk up and down the stairs. All in all, while maybe not a must-do, if you're staying in the area, it's definitely a good stop for eats if you're looking for something simple and easy.
