Absolutely delicious dinner!…read more We made reservations online about 2 months ago. 5:15 dinner worked well for us since we had a show at 7. We checked in on the lady with the tablet on the right side of the entrance. The left side is for walk ins. Super long line even at 5pm. But they were handing out small glasses of chai and something else. Anyway, the reservation line is short and they sat us right away. We wished we could have sat at the patio - it's covered. We didn't see that until we were already drinking. Well, next time! The ambiance - beautiful spot with lots and lots of tables. Every single one of them was taken. Tons of staff! They take good care of you here. Patrons vary, from dates to family dinners - the whole gamet! Come one, come all! The drinks came out right away. Dishoom IPA and chai. Beer came with a frosted glass. The chai was delicious! The food was amazing! Goan monkfish curry Ruby chicken Saffron cauliflower Garlic naan Basmati rice Everything was superb! I works happily go back tomorrow night!

Dishoom chicken tikka (14.9): NOT tikka masala! We were between this and the chicken ruby but were told it's just like butter chicken and were recommended this-- the highlight, chicken flavorful and tender, and I liked the pickled sides House black daal (11.7): their signature dish-- decent, pretty heavy and filling but nothing to sing about Roomali Roti (5.5): we were going to get the garlic naan, but the waiter said that's something you can get anywhere so we got the roti which he recommended-- however, this completely lacked flavor. I've had better roti in Malaysia and in the US lol Garlic naan (5.5): we ultimately got this because we didn't like the roti, but this also the garlic flavor was not shining through Other recommended dishes: chicken berry britannia with raita, charred lamb chops, murgh malai, okra fries Tip: you have to buy the rice, naan etc separately. Also heads up there's a 12.5% service charge.

I have been to two different locations, but they were both gorgeous spots, like the look and vibe is top notch. The drinks? Kitschy and weird as hell. Do they taste good though? Live up to the price and the hype? YES. 1000% The drinks are fun and funny and most have some sort of little quirk...color changing, in a weird vessel, tasty sweet garnishes, etc. But they also all taste amazing. Some are a show to watch them being made, some are diy mixed at the table by you. I was brought here the first time by a family friend who lives in London, and when I returned a year and a half later, with our hotel around the corner from an Alchemist, I made ALL my friends on the trip go here on our first night. And we all returned at least once more during our week in the city. Service was good and patient with our large group, food was decent...I simply have had an amazing time every time I have gone to the Alchemist and if there was one in my hometown I would be out of house and home giving them all my money. Highly HIGHLY recommend.

The location is fantastic, the customer service was excellent, and the atmosphere made for a really enjoyable breakfast. I started with a cappuccino and added salted caramel, but honestly, the cappuccino was so good it didn't even need it. It was smooth, rich, and perfectly made on its own. For breakfast, I ordered the Eggs Benedict. They offer two versions: one with pulled beef and one Florentine. As someone from the US who's a bit of an Eggs Benedict snob, I've tried countless versions over the years, and pulled beef just wasn't something I could picture working with it. I went with the Florentine and customized it by adding bacon, avocado, and a side of sausage. One thing I've learned while visiting the UK is that the sausages are much larger than what I'm used to back home! I honestly could have skipped it because it was so filling. The Benedict itself was unique--the base was almost like a buttery croissant instead of a traditional English muffin, and it came with pickled red onions, which was an interesting touch. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly, and I especially enjoyed it with the added bacon. The food was fresh, high quality, and beautifully prepared. There was plenty of seating both inside and outside, but I chose to sit outside and enjoy some people watching, which made for a relaxing start to the day. Overall, a great breakfast spot with delicious food, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. I'd definitely come back.

They have 3 locations in London. We were lucky to be seated immediately and placed our order. We each started with a drink. They have beer, wine, juices and soft drinks. We also had an.order of olives to.go with our fish. Portions are huge! We each had the haddock which was delicious. Not greasy at all! The inside is relatively small and they don't have outdoor seating so don't be surprised if there is a line out the door during peak times. Takeout is also very popular. For anyone with a GF allergy,Hobsons is a good place to go and try the local favorite of Fish & Chips.

Watching her serve other tables, she gave most patrons drinks after their food was served. The cod was really good and meaty. The onion rings were amazing. The fries/chips were only okay. There was no salt on them and they weren't crispy at all. We got a tiny container of tartar sauce. It was hard to get her attention, so I finished the last half without anything. I don't know if the quality of fish and chips is typical for London, but I'm not that impressed. A small town on the Oregon coast had the best fish and chips ever. I will say, the onion rings were the best even though they were a little greasy. The coleslaw is not like USA slaw, but it was pretty good. I will probably try another restaurant for fish and chips to get a good comparison.
