We were welcomed by a friendly staff member on the first floor where you can find some antiques and collectibles and lots of quality glassware, blankets, jewelry, candles and room scents. On the second floor we found room after room of absolutely stunning home decor of all kinds - furniture, art, sconces, lights, posters, art, and more. I saw about 300 things I would love to have in my home and I saw even more that I could find somewhere to put it if I only had the space. This is a gorgeous store and a must see if you are in Cannon Beach. If I lived anywhere nearby, this would certainly be a place that I'd come to find items for my home. There was enough variety in the treasures inside that almost anyone, with any style, would be able to find items to please their tastes. The employee was friendly. There's a little bit of everything; they sell plants, books (mostly about plants or home-related topics), candles, and so on. It's definitely a home decor sort of shop (I love them) but they also sell a bit of clothing--there were dresses, jeans, and such here as well. Did I mention plants? Lots of them, and all were in really good shape so they're well cared for until they find their way to your home. There wasn't much here that I could fit into a suitcase to take back when I was visiting, and the clothes were too small for me so I didn't really spend much time there. There were some pillows I liked a lot, and I saw some artwork and stuff was great--so I may have to come back in a few years when my kiddo isn't quite as (accidentally) destructive as she can be right now. There's no dedicated parking, though there may be a lot or two around but just not on the main drag. I was told the wood I was purchasing was quality wood. That the knots wouldn't be larger than 1 1/2 inches and no knot holes. Probably 30% of the wood had large knots, knot holes, and a lot of split and damaged pieces. We managed to cut around and make all of the boards work except 2 boards. When I went to return the two boards and get a few extra I was "helped" by the rudest person I've probably ever had to deal with. From the moment I walked up to the counter he acted like I was disturbing him. He came out to the pile of boards, pointed at the ones I needed to choose from and then as he walked away said "try not to make a mess!" I have made many purchases from city lumber since I bought my home 10 years ago. I believe I have spent enough here to not be treated like a child. I don't know how this business keeps customers if this is how they treat everyone. I will drive to Portland to buy lumber before I will give this place my business again. City Lumber just lost a customer.

This shop doesn't have much of--or honestly, any that I could find--online presence, which seems odd but hopefully this will help spread the word. They have a lot of soaps--a significant amount of space in the store is dedicated to their French soap bar. Bar or liquid soap in a dizzying amount of scents. There are candles from the same brand. They have housewares, like decorate items, storage vessels, placemats, and so on. There is artwork for sale--just look up so you don't miss it! They have cards, and books... and then other little nicknacks hidden around the store as well. I bought as a gift for a friend a sand dollar from a fairly local artist, who with her niece decorates sand dollars they've collected on their trips to the beach. It's worth noting that the store is not accessible, as there's a step up and so folks in wheelchairs won't be able to enter. The employee (owner?) was friendly. Not a lot of parking right near the store (perhaps a bit on the street) but there's a public lot a couple blocks away, since this is the main shopping and tourist area in Seaside.
