For my bday I wanted to do a fishing trip with my boys and came to captain Dan and his first mate Matt. Best trip I've ever had. Both Dan and Matt are the coolest guys who made this trip epic. We were worried because a storm was coming but Dan being the man knew when to call it before the storm hit us. He even adjusted the prices fairly and came to eat with us at Harley's where he had our fish cooked. Captain Dan and his deckhand Daniel were amazing. We brought our teenage sons and Daniel was teaching them the property way to cast, bait the hook, and reel in their catch. He was kind and very patient with them. Captain Dan brought us to the best spots and when we weren't getting any bites he would move us to the next location. Captain Dan is a master with the filet knife and we took our beautifully filleted fish to a place they recommended, where we had the best lunch. Never have i been out with a more knowledabe and passionate crew. Its like we are tenagers exploring looking for the next quest. My first trip out we caught a host of fish from dolphin, snapper, tuna, sharks and more! This time we caught hogfish, snapper, grouper and a host of other sea creatures. We battled the crazy seas dodging weather conditions, turtles, schools of jelly fish, a massive puffer fish and a school of dolphin playing in the surf. Crazy day out today! My wife and I are not expert fishermen by any means. We were visiting Key Largo and Islamorada area for a week and wanted to try deep sea fishing, hopefully without breaking the bank account =) We found Miss Chief on shareafishingcharter.com and booked 2 spots to share the cost with others. In the first 2 hrs of the trip I thought the trip ways going to be a bust, my friend an experienced fisherman in lakes up north not deep sea said to me"this is normal times I spent the whole day with no catch, let's see if these guys are the deal and will work hard to get us 1 catch". Searched online for months for the right charter for my family and I. Captain was great in staying contact with me until our arrival, which is more then I can say about other charters. Captain Dan and Cory were the absolute best, very kind, courteous, and professional. My family had a blast. We left the docks on time, went to different areas where he felt the best opportunity to catch some fish. In all we caught over thirty fish. more then we would have ever expected.
