Also, I had to add some pieces on about 2 weeks before the wedding and Cindy was able to accommodate that.

Birthday Party Review…read more This place is a hidden gem for a birthday party for a child between 4-8, maybe 9. So for the reviews about 12+ year olds, I think that is too old of an age for most activities. This place is by Kitchen wholesale places so you really would not know it existed. It is not far from Slingshots (aka old BJs Wholesale). When you enter it is just a front desk where you sign in and a party room to drop off your shoes and such. I was wondering WTF?!? Anyways, the staff pumps up the kids and gives each one a glow bracelet. The birthday kid gets a brightly colored tie dyed shirt. Then....they open the next door and BAM! You are entering a room of neon colored bounce houses, out of this world wallpaper lined walls from the ceiling to the floor, music (a little too loud) and a ton of things for the kids. They have soccer and basketball nets, they have a mini mini golf area (thus better for younger kids) and a ball shooting thing. These bounce houses for the cleanest ones I have ever seen. I don't think you can just walk in here like other places so you may need to call and find out the "free play". It was great because there were maybe 30 kids there, most with the party we were with. They have chairs for the parents to sit in which is also a perk. I know that they order in pizza for the parties, but we didn't stay long enough for that. Overall, super cool place off the beaten path.

Which was sad because we were supposed to be there to celebrate my son's 13th birthday. He was excited to try this place out. We drove over an hour to be disappointed. First we walk in an hour after opening on a Sunday, place was empty.......we walk right up to the counter and I tell the girl that I had looked the pricing up online and I knew I wanted to do the 3 race, game card, and k1 membership pass for 3 boys. She gave me a blank stare and then said oh you mean 2 race. Ok. Rude. But ok yeah that. She proceeds to ask the boys had they ever been there before. 1 of my sons friends says yes. So she goes you need to go check him on the computer with a waiver first because he has a membership so you won't pay for that part for him. Here I am thinking oh she is being helpful after being wrong. I smile. We go to computers do the waiver for 1 boy as instructed. We go back to the counter now 2 more groups have come in. We have to wait behind 1 group now since there is only one cashier/check in person although there were at least 5 other staff in the building including a manager. Anyway after we wait for that group to check in. I step back to the counter and THEN she proceeds to tell me oh you didn't do the waiver for the other two. I'm like you told me to do it only for the one that had been here before. So again we step out of line and go BACK to the computers. At this time I'm starting to get annoyed. By this time more people are coming in, so now my boys will have to wait behind several big groups when we arrived before ALL of these people. When I finally get back to the counter.....all boys are checked in. She got RUDE again. And wanted to loudly explain pricing to me and make sure I knew that the boys only got a $10 game card for what I was about to pay. Like VERY loud. I didn't hear her do this with any of the other groups that checked in before us and I hate to say this.......none of them were my complexion. Never once was I rude or matching her volume or tone. We actually walked in that place happy because we were supposed to be celebrating. Well anyway it didn't stop there. Once we got checked no instructions were given on what to do next outside of the girl at the counter giving me my receipt and their game cards. So my boys walked over to where you line up to go on the track and yet another employee was RUDE to them by telling them to back away from the gate and wait for someone to call them. They are EXCITED to be here Jeesh, so then after she yells at them they come over to me saying they not going to let her ruin the joy. They finally get called to race and all the boys are overwhelmed after the employees stopped the cars several time or slowed their speed down all during the race. Then in between their first and second race we went to their "arcade" which only has 12 games......which none of them are less than 40 credits for 1 game. $10 gets you 200 in credits. While one of the boys was in the process of playing a game they got called back for their 2nd race. It was EVEN worse than the first one. We decided to opt out of trying their food and went somewhere else to grab lunch. 0 stars would not recommend.

I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone needing catering for their wedding. Even to this day, two and half years after our wedding, I have guests telling me they remembered the delicious food at the wedding. My husband is Korean and we had a lot of Korean guest attend the wedding, so we wanted some Korean menu items for all of our guests to enjoy. The kimchi and Korean short ribs were an absolute hit and guest favorite for everyone at the wedding. I am also a rather picky eater, so Divine Event was able to allow us to customize our meal so that there were also a good amount of vegetarian items for me to enjoy. They even asked for our specific meal preferences in advance, my husband and I, and our plates were prepared and delivered to us at our table as we wished. The desserts too were just amazing. I would absolutely recommend Divine Event to anyone looking for the perfect catering company for their wedding.

I will share advice that I wish I had received before making a 50% deposit. My rating is based on the planning. The day of would get 4 stars. - We were glad we had an outside wedding planner to be our ally. If you've never planned an event like this, you might not realize that you can easily be taken advantage of. - They provide a lot of staff on the day of the event, but some of them were people we had never met. We had an eight-minute call with our "Day of Reception Director" the week before the wedding. She is a part-time (weekends) employee who doesn't even have a company email address. - We were dazzled by Melissa's sales pitch. She spent 2 hours with us when we came in for a tour and it was great. We thought she would be a great ally in this process. She was super friendly and helpful through the contract process until we paid 50%. - We needed to read every version of the updated invoice to catch price changes. The price of our dessert was $9 until one day it was $9.50. They charged us $150 for early arrival with a $150 credit to cancel it out. One day that credit had changed from $150 to $2. Laura from the design studio "accidentally" increased the price of some tablecloths by $5 each. - Their contracts sometimes expire after two days, and they said we needed to sign before getting answers to our questions. This happened with 2 contract addendums. We asked questions. Melissa said "Any specific detail changes to this contract will be handled in the extended planning sessions." - They marginalized me while behaving towards my husband. We had a recurrent problem where I would send an email, no response, husband reminds them, and they respond quickly. One time they ignored my email for five days. When he replied to my note, they responded to him within the hour. I don't know if it's because he's a man, he makes more money than I do, or they simply didn't like me. - If we didn't get it in writing, they often denied it. There are numerous topics that I am certain we discussed verbally but unfortunately I didn't have it in writing. With the issue mentioned above, they insisted we never discussed it, and they only agreed to do it because we found written confirmation. - We needed to spend at least $2,000 at their design studio, but we didn't have any trouble exceeding the minimum. We had very minimal design requirements, brought in an outside florist for the bouquets, and our initial quote was over $1,900, not counting the $700 tablecloth rental. - Menu changes come with an upcharge. You only get to put out one salad dressing. If you want your guests to have a choice, there is an $0.50 per person. Mashed potatoes come with no toppings. Want to add something as simple as sour cream or chives? One dollar per person for each topping. - We paid more than 80% of the adult rate for children aged 4-9. Children starting at age 10 are charged full price. The menu says "reduced rate" for children, but the aren't mentioned until much later in the process. They get a 20% discount on the base price for the buffet, but they are full price for drinks, dessert, and add-ons. I don't know if they would also be charged 100% for drink packages with alcohol. - We had to convince them to let us have a menu tasting. They offered us a "tasting box" with six items from another event's menu but only one or two from our menu. None of these options had our main dishes included. They said the point of a tasting box is to understand the quality of the food, not our specific menu. I want to thank Kristin, the CEO, for her help. Two months before our wedding, she allowed us to switch from the Atrium to Flint Hill (for a cost of $3,500) The change in venue couldn't fix corporate policies and staff difficulties though. I can honestly say that planning this wedding was one of the worst experiences of my life. Good luck, future brides and grooms.

Having our wedding at The Barn at Highpoint Farms was probably one of the best decisions we made…read more First off, I love that it is a family run business with generations of experience. They take pride in their venue and the personalized, thoughtful, and unique setting they provide. Margie has been planning weddings for years and her experience was incredibly helpful for us during the planning process as she asked questions and gave suggestions on things I never would have thought of without her! The Barn at Highpoint Farms offers SO much- first, they are a flower farm as well as a wedding venue. This means that we were able to use fresh cut flowers for our bouquets, table settings, ceremony décor, and got to take pictures in flower gardens that had the same flowers used for our wedding in them. The flowers were stunning, smelled and looked fresh, adding to the ambiance. The arrangements were well thought out and better than I could have imagined. Second, they offer some housing on site! Along with the ceremony space and the barn for the reception, there are two houses and a couple's tree house on site that you can rent for additional spaces to stay. We did a premium package where both houses and the tree house were included in our weekend. GREAT DECISION! This meant that we, plus our wedding party, had somewhere to stay Friday AND Saturday night that was right on site. Everyone commented on how much they loved that they didn't have to commute back and forth from a hotel, and that they got to enjoy the peaceful scenery of the farm all weekend. Plus no one was late or had any mishaps. We loved the venue so much that we had our rehearsal dinner there Friday night plus the wedding ceremony and reception there Saturday. It was so convenient and really reduced stress having everything in one place for the entire weekend. Finally, there is so much to do and see on the farm! It feels like a magical place, and they have done an excellent job of preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of the farm. Everywhere you look there is a perfect photo opportunity, from flower gardens to old pickup trucks, to green houses and rustic barn doors. The venue has so much natural character and charm you really don't have to overdress it with décor and fluff which was a cost saver in the end. There are even horses, goats, cats, and dogs you can take pictures with offering unique photo opportunities. The two guest houses are comfy and stunningly decorated, Margie and family really have a great designer's eye, making them beautiful settings for getting ready photos as well as comfy places to stay all weekend. I could go on and on about The Barn at Highpoint Farms, but it'd be a book. Go tour the venue, you won't regret it. I highly recommend, it was the best decision we made in wedding planning.

Very accommodating! The view is stunning but Jill's ability with flowers and greenery was over the top! Everything she created (bouquets, table decor) was so very pretty. The arbor she decorated at the front of the aisle took my breath away and made a beautiful background for the pictures. Our guests loved the baby goats and the bonfire/corn hole area. It just added to the fun and enjoyment. I highly recommend this venue to anyone!l
