We booked Miss Susie Charters for a late October catfishing trip out of Tantallon Marina, and the experience far exceeded our expectations. Getting there was a little tricky since parking is street-only, so I highly recommend arriving early like we did. We were able to find a spot without issue, but I can imagine it getting tougher later in the day. It was also a bit confusing at first since you have to walk through a closed marina gate marked "No Trespassing" to get to the dock. Thankfully, a crew member from Miss Susie met us at the second gate and escorted us to the boat (Miss Susie III). Once onboard, both the captain and his mate were incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely funny. They gave us a clear walkthrough of what to expect and were very patient with the first-timers in our group. Everyone felt comfortable, even those new to fishing (and there were several). We had modest hopes and just wanted to catch a few fish but ended up catching over 50 catfish between the seven of us! It seemed like non-stop action, and everyone on board was raving about the experience afterwards. Several folks even said they hoped we'd do it again and I guarantee you that we will. This is very likely becoming a yearly tradition! If you're looking for a fun, well-run charter experience with a great crew, I can't recommend Miss Susie Charters enough. We had a blast! read more

Had the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful day on the bay with Miss Susie III. The crew was highly professional and friendly . We were a group of nine adults and one child with this being the first time for most of the group. We didn't catch our limit of fish but everyone had a great time on the water. I can honestly say that they gave us their best. We moved around when nothing was biting and we did not stop trying. We obeyed all laws and threw back all that were under 19 inches , which seem to be more than what we could keep. Had fun! Next time We'll try an early morning trip. read more

If you want to catch fish on the bay, you need to go with Capt. Greg on the Miss Susie. I've been fishing with Capt. Greg for last six years and have a great time on all of our trips. He knows where the fish are and isn't afraid to make a decision when the fish are not biting. Kids, beginners and people that don't normally fish will be addicted after one trip on his boat. 1st class operation and I will keep going back. read more

This is a first class operation. I went out with a group of six. We caught our limit of rockfish, we call them stripers in California. We had a great time, the deck hand Steve was awesome, all we had to do was reel them in. They also "hooked" us up with Skipper's Pier restaurant, who prepared our fish and served up a great family style meal. Awesome day on Chesapeake Bay! read more

I'm new to this fishing thing but Saturday was my second trip with Capt. Greg and mate Steve. The first time was last summer and it was just a perfect day. On Saturday, the weather was a different story. I'll admit I was about to back out because of the high winds but the rest of my group wasn't concerned and Capt. Greg said we'd be OK. Greg knows where the fish are and when we weren't getting hits right away at his first choice we moved to another area. We were live lining, which my husband and I were new to. But Greg and Steve do all the work, they give good instructions and before you know it we were reeling in some great looking rockfish. I was worried about the weather but not because I felt unsafe on the boat but more because I was afraid I would be throwing up in front of everyone! I managed not to get seasick, no one did. I did give Greg a hug, when I was back on land, for getting us back safely. Steve cleans all the fish and bags it up so it's ready to go in the cooler. I'm a newbie and haven't been on any other charters but I had a lot of fun on both trips and brought plenty of fresh fish home. read more

My second perfect trip fishing with Capt. Greg on the Miss Susie. Weather and seas were calm making it a fantastic day to be on the water. We live lined with him back in November and trolled yesterday. Greg moves his boat to where the fish are to try his best to get everyone a chance to hook into this awesome bay resource. Every fisherman knows there's a big difference in fishing versus catching, and no guide can guarantee success, but if your goal is to hook into some summer striper action, I would say your odds are greatly improved if you book or do a walk on with the Miss Susie. So get a group together and go have a blast on the bay! We booked a trip for rockfish first and then fished the creek for perch. Awesome day. read more

We went fishing with Captain Greg on memorial day 2017. Two fromer Us Marines, My son leaving for the Marines in Sept and his three buddies all leaving this year to serve our great nation in the Marines. We caught our limit.
