This review is long overdue! I have been getting my hair done by Priscylla for YEARS. She was already doing my hair when she was still studying to be a stylist. I would always volunteer to be her model when she needed to test new techniques, colors, or styles. If she needed a model to apply for a salon, I was always up for a new look. From small trims to drastic color changes, I have always trusted Priscylla with my hair. When I first decided I wanted deep red color in my hair, she told me she could definitely do it, but warned me that red fades easily. And sure enough it did, but Priscylla was always ready to give me a touch up when I needed. As time went on, I wanted to go even more drastic and went for a bleached balayage. Priscylla took extreme care with this because my hair is so fine. She wanted to make sure I could get what I want without losing my hair or having it look super dry all the time. As usual, she covered all the basics. She let me know that it was a long process, and depending how light I wanted it, it could take multiple sessions. I was all for it. Priscylla is also the one that got me into the more fun bright colors. I've done pink/magenta, purple and indigo. I don't know if I can ever go back. One time I came in with a photo that had a balayage with purple roots that melted into pink ends. The first time around, we weren't able to achieve the brightness that I hoped for, but I went back and Priscylla did whatever she could to give me exactly what I wanted. And I got it. Even more recently, I decided to go from a funky balayage, to natural baby lights. She made it look so beautiful! But of course, I couldn't stay away from the fun colors for long. Eventually, I gave in and told Priscylla I wanted to go global. THIS was by far the longest appointment I had with her. It was difficult cuz my ends were already lightened, but we needed to get my roots to the same level. Again, without damaging my hair. She found the perfect bleach to use. She was able to lift my natural color with minimal irritation to my scalp. AND I still have my hair! Even after all that, she gave me my funky colors. It was a long day for both of us, but it was a fun time. We watched Netflix, had snacks, and just chatted it up. My appointments with Priscylla never drag and are always fun. There are even lucky days where her son comes in. Such a cutie! I am currently taking a break on getting my hair did, but when I do get back on it, Priscylla is my girl! read more

I've been wanting to color my hair again for years but was apprehensive because it didn't turn out that great the last time I had someone do it. I didn't want to shell out a bunch of money for something awful or subpar - worse, have someone fry my hair. I'd seen that Priscylla had been doing hair for years now and saw she was fantastic at it but I always thought, "There's no way she can make *my* hair look that good though, right?" Wrong. I finally pulled the triggered recently. Not only did Priscylla do a perfect job with coloring my hair purple she was able to accommodate me almost immediately when I reached out to her. At the salon she took her time, explaining to me what she was doing before and while she did it, and was honestly just a fun person to hang out with for a few hours. She also sent me home with a goodie bag of essential hair products while being very patient in explaining to me how to use each one so that my hair stays vibrant and healthy. I hope this review will convince anyone out there that this woman knows what she's doing and she does it damn well. I'll return soon - I think this might be a regular thing for me now. Loving my violet hair. Priscylla did such a great job coloring my hair. I was telling her that I didn't want to bleach it just yet and wanted to see if there was a way to color my hair violet without bleach and hence there was. It has taken me years to find the perfect stylist for me and I am so glad that Priscylla was recommended to me. She makes you feel comfortable the second you sit in her chair. No awkward conversation or silence for hours while your hair in processing. We had a blast watching Netflix movies and talking as if we were old friends catching up. 10 STARS IF I COULD! Went to Priscylla for the first time in February to have my hair balayaged and she did an amazing job. It was EXACTLY what I wanted. I have all natural brown hair and I've never colored it before but I wanted to try something new. The color was perfect. I loved the ashy look to it. I came back again late June to have my hair toned right before my trip to Jamaica and yet again another fabulous job on her part. I've been going to Scylla for my cut & color for years now. My hair was usually pretty basic, keeping my standard dark/brown natural hair color. The most I experimented with hair was dying it a reddish-brown and highlights. But years ago she inspired me to get out of my comfort zone and put some color in my hair.
