So at this point, I…read morehad regarded PT simply as a hoop I needed to jump through in order to convince the doc that my problem was actually as bad as I said it was. It was bound to fail (again), and I was okay with that even if I thought it was just going to waste time. These are the steps I thought I had to go through -- I even told that to the kind folks here at my initial intake visit (including the part that I only chose them because they were closest to my house!). Little did I know I was in for a serious attitude adjustment. The people at Physical Restoration took my perspective as some sort of challenge...and won handily. Yes, my physical state was a mess -- I'm fighting an ongoing problem, and I really needed help, and luckily somehow found a place at random that was willing to do what I needed to have done. I've long since fired the original doc who sent me here, but kept the physical therapist! Lori and Marc really do care about the people who walk through the door. Even the patients cheer eachother on. Don't get me wrong -- Miracle Workers do not exist. But good, hard-working, caring, and intelligent ones do. If you put in the effort here, it won't be wasted. That's all anyone can really expect. It's certainly more than I ever did and I'm now in better shape than I have been in years. I got lucky when I chose their door to walk through, but you can actually choose them on purpose.

A few months ago, I wrote a pretty detailed review on social media . Since then, I have had over 12…read more-14 questions from both sites from potential/current rehab clients of LSTC, the most recent a week ago. Given its been some time since my past review thought I would update but be briefer geared to questions I have received. In my last review I noted the advantage LSTC has combining the Therapists with Trainers so you are never left on your own as with most other PT Centers. This is the single best advantage over its competitors BUT it relies on the quality of staff. I was fortunate with having a very good Therapist who eventually left but was fortunate, having seen many other therapists work on others, to request Angie Austin step in when Leigh left mid-Therapy and she not only picked up working on my plantar fasciitis (and then right shoulder) but also worked with my orthopedist to help fit my orthotics. She helped me recover with rigorous exercises (she has eyes behind her because when I am doing something wrong with the trainers, she comes across to correct my technique) and after a PRP procedure on my right shoulder and a very thorough evaluation by Sydney Kosik (which was concurred by my by Doctor) started working with me. After an absence due to travel, I returned and in Angie's absence, started back with Sydney. I'm hoping to split my time with both of them as they are really good in spending effort and time working on muscle groups that need strengthened and each have slightly different techniques that I can use to build back strength. So, in response to questions on any flags to be aware of, here are a few: Assuming you are there for a few weeks, lock on a therapist who you feel is making the effort to help you (i.e., manual therapy). And have a back-up because the good ones seem to leave. If Angie and/or Sydney leave, I will revert back to anyone of several other therapists I know and respect (and use as with my back issues). Angie was nice enough to ensure I had the right bands to use at home and Sydney ensured I had a refresher after being away for some time. LSTC has decent pandemic procedures. However, no temperature checks as with others. And at times they are a bit lax with the 6-foot rule placing folks too near each other. I now wear 2 masks just to be careful. They do wipe down all equipment. Most all equipment available except no Electrotherapy Equipment/dry needling which can be quite helpful. Its one reason my wife left and if it were my back, I would not be there (now with my 6 year + therapist who uses both) Not much flexibility when you run out of visits. Other Centers allow you to self-pay what your Insurance pays. Here its more expensive so not worth paying as I was willing to do. However, its really convenient if you live in the area, front office staff including claims very pleasant to deal with, approvals easy to obtain (a huge plus); trainers are helpful to work with (they do seem short-staffed) and appointments easy to schedule (assuming you don't mind who are with...in my case I have to plan). Hopefully I have provided a useful update by responding to several questions received. Feel free to reach out with any additional feedback.

I returned for physical therapy after nearly three years and found that little has changed. The…read morephysical therapists and exercise specialists are still friendly and generally punctual, but they are mostly junior staff or appear to be in training. This time, however, the experience was worse--likely due to it being the end of the year, when coverage seemed limited. As a result, the therapists appeared distracted, juggling five or six patients at once, which was far from ideal.

I just finished up my 6 week session as I was recovering from a fracture in my back. I admit, I was…read morea little skeptical that my problem could be solved- I knew the fracture would heal, but I've had back issues for a number of years and I just felt resigned to the fact that my back would always be a problem and just another indignity that comes with being in my 50's. Well, six weeks later I feel so much better and stronger. My team (more on them in a bit) really worked hard to put together an exercise program that would strengthen my core, back, and legs and with each session, I saw and felt improvement. I downloaded a recommended app and my PT sent videos to it that would allow me to do some of my exercises at home and that makes it much easier to remember the techniques and rep counts. The best part of The Jackson Clinics is the people. Right up front in the Ashburn location is the very professional, very positive and extremely efficient Anem- a young lady with a very bright future. Nathan is the lead Therapist I would see at the beginning of every session and he is simply outstanding. One of the nicest people you could ever meet and you can tell he cares very much about how you are feeling and progressing. He is the one who dictates the program and comes up with the exercises and strength building activities you will be doing. He sees what works and what does not and reacts accordingly. Finally, each session Nathan would hand me off to Peyton, who showed me the activities I needed to do and monitored me as I did them. He checks on you often and is very encouraging along the way. I really felt like Peyton is in a perfect position by helping people, he is a great PT and an even better person. I actually felt a little sad saying goodbye to this great team today and I'll miss them. I hope to see them someday outside of the clinic! Thank you all very much, you are really an excellent team and I'm grateful that I chose your location for my therapy.

With any movement I was in excruciating pain. It was the type of pain you just want to scream and are so helpless. I was so lucky to be squeezed in today (on New Years Eve) by Dr. Su. My experienced with Dr. Su was like no other chiropractic experience I've had before. He intertwines his extensive education with Chinese medicine. I was able to actually move my neck when he was done with me. I trusted him and his techniques involving scraping, needling and cupping. I literally thought I was going to walk in and get the basic adjustment, but he really took it to the next level with his techniques and knowledge on pain. To top it all off, he was extremely friendly and easy to talk to. It's so hard to find any Dr. like Him. He educated me on ways to strengthen my back and posture in kind and informative ways. He didn't just say "go work out". It's been almost 10 hours since my visit and I am already able to move without sharp pains, and feel 10 times better than when I walked in. He's magic! I'm so thankful for this experience and would recommend Dr. Su to anyone. Thank you Beyond Wellness for the awesome experience.
