The staff created an environment where I felt safe enough to be honest, grow, and begin rebuilding my life. The group sessions were engaging, insightful, and incredibly impactful. The facilitators did an outstanding job of creating meaningful discussions while making everyone feel heard and supported. I also appreciated the individual therapy, where my treatment was tailored to my specific needs instead of taking a one-size-fits-all approach. The 1:1 care made me feel like I was more than just another client--it made me feel valued as a person. One of the most unexpected and valuable parts of the program was the recreational activities. They weren't just a break from treatment--they became an essential part of my recovery. Through shared experiences, laughter, and healthy activities, I was able to rebuild the sense of fellowship and connection that addiction had taken from me. Those moments reminded me how to form genuine relationships again and showed me that life in recovery can be fulfilling and enjoyable. This program gave me far more than sobriety. It gave me hope, practical tools, lasting friendships, and a strong foundation for a new way of living. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who invested in my recovery, and I would wholeheartedly recommend this program to anyone ready to change their life.

In September 2025, my psychiatrist, NP Shadette Soriano, recognized that something still wasn't right and recommended HealthyU's PHP and IOP programs. I am incredibly grateful that I took her advice. From beginning to end, my experience with HealthyU has been nothing short of life-changing. It's true that "it gets worse before it gets better," and I feel so fortunate to have had such compassionate clinicians and supportive peers beside me during the hardest parts of treatment. After nearly six months in the program, I came out stronger, more prepared to manage my illnesses, and learning to love myself a little more along the way. There is no way I could have done this without HealthyU. IOPs are called intensive for a reason. There is a full curriculum, deep emotional work, and days when you want to quit--my advice: don't. You don't have to show up at 100% every day -- the facilitators will meet you wherever you are and help carry the percentage you don't have. They genuinely care about every person who walks through those doors and truly want you to succeed. The group setting reminds you that you are not alone. The peer support is something you never forget. I have made lifelong friends who understand me without judgment, and I offer them that same understanding in return. In my heart, I know I would not be where I am today if I hadn't admitted myself to HealthyU. I don't know if I would even still be here. If you are feeling lost, lonely, or afraid that life will always feel this way, please consider HealthyU. There are people there who care deeply about you and will help you find your way forward.

Welp 2 weeks later and not a single message or call. He said they needed to find me a detox but that there's a "team" for that. It's funny because I called my insurance and was given names of approved detox centers in less than 5 minutes. Called them and was able to get in with no issue...thankfully. To think of all the people who don't advocate for themselves and continue with their addiction because companies don't care to even help them. No wonder people are struggling when you have companies like this. Definitely letting my insurance know to stop working with them. What a shame!!

I have toured Short Term Care Facilities, relied upon Scripps Case Management team everytime. Tho in January they recommended Balboa Facility, that place almost killed my father with the lack of care. Landed him in the hospital another 2 weeks after a 39 day stay in the hospital. So I am very beyond leary about all facilities. My dad's insurance would only keep him there 2 weeks. From the beginning I met everyone including the Director of Nursing, the Social Worker and even the Staff Dr called me. They were somewhat ready for to recieve my father, the only thing why I gave 4 stars not 5 was that the medicine was not all in (he takes over 40 pills a day) but all the really important ones were. Every concern that I had was addressed and heard (there wasn't that many) The entire staff was engaged and cared about their patients. Not to mention the occupational and physical therapy was superb and this is why we were there. Again leaving I was told that my dad would have 30 days of medicine and that was not the case, I had maybe a weeks worth so now I have to call primary Dr to arrange but all in all, it was a positive experience.

The team at Rehab United Physical Therapy played a major role in my recovery. Through a personalized physical therapy program, targeted exercises, stretching, and instruction on how to strengthen my body and prevent future injuries, they steadily restored my mobility and significantly reduced my pain. They are without a doubt the best physical therapy provider in San Diego county, California, the west coast, and definitely the country. I've been a client since June 2007 when I re-injured my surgically repaired knee a year post surgery. I worked nearby and it came up on the list. I was mostly excited for the location. Once I had my first appointment I knew I had found the perfect medical care professionals. Their treatments are whole body with an emphasis on full mobility. They don't just look at the affected area without considering how it's affecting your walk, stance, sitting, and daily life. I've worked with many of the PTs over the years but have maintained a relationship with one of my original therapist who has helped me through a plethora of issues, injuries, and surgery. I can't recommend them enough and have recommended them to many people. Thank you, RU for giving a darn about your patients and their wellbeing.

The places the staff take you in the van (outings, group sessions at the center, AA meetings) and camaraderie that comes with all of that made the experience memorable.
