I reached out to this Iron Works company about enclosing my back porch, but the experience was very disappointing. They pushed me to sign an agreement without ever providing a detailed quote or sending anyone to look at the project. When I asked questions, they were rude and unprofessional. I never wrote a bad review before. but this company is nightmare. i guess once they take their payment they don't care about their faulty doors We had door installed last month, 2 weeks after we realized there is no sealant installed between the glasses. one night it rain, all our front area are of the house got flooded. i called them more than 10 times to fix their door.. they sent people to check it, they said they are not able to fix it as they are not trained to fix. Update: 7-28-22: Removing my initial negative review. Issue is in the process of being resolved beyond my expectations. Yesterday, Mr. Crawley personally reached out to me via phone and in-person. Apparently, he had only become aware of my issue recently and the response of his company. My railings and post were removed yesterday to be sandblasted and repainted with the new commercial grade powder by Sherwin Williams. The new railings and post will be installed by the end of next week (August 5th). I appreciate the personal attention by Mr. Crawley. He does care about the reputation of Mississippi Iron Works and the quality of the work. Will post photos of the repaired railings and post when reinstalled. read more

They installed a beautiful door, but left my interior house unfinished (did not complete trim work - now over a month ago and counting). After speaking with the company several times, the job is still unfinished. I informed them that I would hire someone externally to fix the problem at their cost. They requested that I let them (Iron Works) fix the issue. Their representative arrived and left citing that the wall had to be fixed firsthand did nothing and left without notice. You will notice in the pictures below that the wall was not damaged prior to this installation. I decided not to sign the paperwork noting completion, since the job was not finished. After a few days, I checked with Wells Fargo and learned that the company had already submitted the job as complete and charged my account, which I disputed the amount to fix the door. Later, there was a message left on my phone (from their owner) stating that he had heard that the issue was resolved, so he was thinking the dispute should be removed. Yes, they promised to submit reimbursement, but they never did. The job is now scheduled for completion for next week, by someone else. I will NEVER do business with this company again. Additionally, our investigation into the company and its owner revealed a court case involving fraudulent credit card activity between him and Wells Fargo. I NEVER do business with criminals, so this has been a major mistake. read more

I am so glad I read the reviews before moving forward with this company. I can tell you that the sales tactics they use are very deceptive. You will never know the price of the door ahead of time when selecting from several mockup options. I find this odd given that the price is based off a standard door and includes installation - so why not provide prices upfront. This is so the salesperson can choose whatever price he wants. Then when you try to negotiate the price, the salesperson will get upset and get loud. Wow, I dodged a bullet. read more

I wanted to give a transparent and truthful Review on MIW, they are made in the U.S.A Company and we don't want to lose those. I will start by saying for the most part considering COV-19 and the backups. We had some delays with installation. mainly because some parts were missing when they showed up and we got to the end. I had an extra Deadbolt on my double doors. They call in and were told to buy one that matched well. Of course, you are not happy when spending all that money on something. Everything should have been double-checked. That being said our install date was June ,5 and they did a finished install with screws missing touch-up trim area. September . Just to follow up on a previous post. Mississippi Iron Works has refused to honor their "Lifetime Structural Warranty" Our doors are mis-measured, poorly installed, have excessive condensation (&ice) on the inside, and are difficult to close. The doors are top heavy and should have been made at a more reasonable height with an added transom to fill in the full opening. We have hired an attorney with no luck. I have recently filed complaints with the Contractors Licensing Board and Attorney General not only in Mississippi, but also in Tennessee, where I live. MSIW is NOT a licensed contractor in either state, which is a huge issue. Please file complaints with the AG and Contractors Board in Mississippi and in your state. Mr. Crawley has responded to my attorney that my complaints are "a waste of time". I sadly concur that I have probably lost over $59,000 on poor quality doors (and more in attorney fees) that he will not repair or replace, but hopefully with enough complaints from others, the state of MS will intervene and the licensing boards from all states he has worked in will also step up their investigations and force him to do the right thing. read more

Almost a year ago (literally) we purchased doors from Mississippi Iron Works. For brevity's sake, I am going to leave out some (a lot) of details. Let's suffice it to say, we STILL don't have completed doors, it takes MONTHS for anything to be done, and they DON'T take pride in their work. They shuffle you from one person to the next who has no authority and change "managers" more often than I have kept count. I could go on, but I think you get the picture. What Cary Crawley does is take your money and not deliver. When you reach out to him he initially says he will handle it, but with subsequent reach outs, he never responds. Talk about some of the WORST customer service I have ever received. My advice to you: do NOT use Mississippi Iron Works. Go anywhere else. Choose a different option. My husband and I recently had a double iron door installed and it looks beautiful! However, within a week of the installation, the screen fell out of the right side. Several calls were made by me and my husband to no avail. They have yet to make any attempt to repair the very expensive door! I am thankful my husband was able to re-attach the screen with simple tools, but for the cost, we should not have had to do anything but enjoy our beautiful front door. This level of customer service is really disappointing, as we were considering purchasing stair rails to match the door. Shame on us for not reading reviews sooner. We purchased a $12k door from MS Iron Works in February 2022. Of course it took several weeks to make but even after the door was ready, the standard key lock was not in stock. It took several weeks before the lock was back in stock. I found this out after calling several times to find out what was the problem with delivery. One person after another promised to call back the same or next day to provide an update but, I had to call back myself each time. I don't know the size of the company but I assume they sell this product to high end customers who can afford a door of this price range. So, I expected more from Sales, Customer Service and the Service Department. When the door was delivered they had to paint my door trim the same color as the door. Of course they bought spray paint instead of brush paint and could not paint the trim because of the risk of overspray to my stucco. Now I had to wait several more weeks before they came back to my area to brush paint the wood trim and finish the job. This also was unacceptable. Now after approximately nine months of owning the door and only using it as a secondary door because we primarily use the garage entrance, the door lock does not work. We were locked out the front door recently when the power went out while we were gone and when we returned we tried to use the front door. The thumb latch did not work and we could not enter. I called Customer Service and was floored to learn that the company recently stopped providing a courtesy call to fix the lock. The service call for a 9 month old $12k door is $325. Are you kidding me. I have $50 locks from HD and Lowes that have lifetime warranty on the locking mechanism. How can a company sell a $12k door and offer a lock that has a 30 day warranty. Why not offer a lock from a company with a better warranty. Or if you choose to, then the company should provide their own courtesy service. So because the company decides to offer a low quality lock with this expensive door, the customer has to pay a service fee after only 30 days of ownership. I could not find any mention of this in my paper work, nor were we told of this nonsense by the salesperson or the Service Dept. I could not get past the Customer Service Rep with my complaint thus, I had to issue this review. I was told to call my local locksmith to service their door. I have never experienced something so ridiculous in my entire adult life as a consumer especially because of the price point of this door. We receive many compliments for the door because it does have beautiful curb appeal. But I purchased this door first, for functionality and then appearance. I believe the company changed their policy because they sell doors far outside of their location. So they are trying to retrieve the cost of a service call to out of town customers by implementing this policy. I can see a policy like this after the first or second year of ownership but not within months. Needless to say I am a very unsatisfied customer. Can you imagine going out of your front door to retrieve the mail or speak to a neighbor and having to leave the door cracked open because if you close it shut, you can't get back in your home. I see the negative reviews but I have to give them 5 stars. I have to admit I was a bit concerned about the installation since I had custom trim around the large double doors inside and out. I had the best installation crew to come and do the work. The door is great and even after the sale I had a big storm come and pushed water against the door. Water did come in. I called repairs and in a day they had a guy come out and sealed the areas that were not sealed. So yes there was a problem but they stood by the product and had it repaired in no time. Rhonda was the best in making sure the install and service repair was done to my satisfaction. With people like Rhonda this company is a recommendation for me. I would never recommend this company. I ordered a glass door to cover my front door of my home. I wanted to protect the wood on my door and the wood on the two side glass windows. They did not cover the wood on the two side panels. I contacted them and tried to get them to fix door the way I wanted it done in the first place. I even offered to pay them to come and redo it. Shortly after our new double front door unit was installed we had a terrible rainstorm. We had water leaking in everywhere through our new door. The worst leaking was through the glass in the doors. Why was this not tested at the factory? I lived with towels on my wood floors for 16 months while they repeatedly tried to fix this. Finally the leaking was fixed by loads of sloppy silicone caulk and a threshold that is so tight we can barely open the door. The whole unit is a bad design with NO quality control at the factory. The door is not insulated well and we received the wrong glass originally. They replaced with double paned glass at no charge but still had leaking issues for months. In winter major condensation on inside of door and door glass. We don't have any condensation on the window next to our front doors or on any other door or window in our home. We have a very expensive front door that we hate to use and every guest that we've had in our home has trouble opening and closing the door. Poor quality construction. read more

Although our double front steel doors are attractive, the installation was a huge mess, including leaving broken transom glass in our yard and driveway, the permanent hardware installation was a not done properly, our foyer hardwood fllors were scratched ( no one had a drop cloth and the mess in the process showed no respect for our property, and now we have rusty dripping condensation on the inside panels. After three months of calling and talking and asking for these issues to be resolved, we are still waiting. Doors may be nice, but service and follow-up are the worst. Got 3 iron doors about 3 years ago and have loved them. They were installed as promised. However, customer service beyond that is nonexistent. We never did get the other locks keyed as promised, and now we have a problem with a lock that they "just can't get to." It is early in Thanksgiving week, so I get that they might be short-staffed, and maybe Covid related, too, but you can't tell me that one person can't swing by and take a look at the problem. I would think that the head honchos would even be willing to provide good customer service with what we paid for these doors. We have one more door to replace next year and you can be sure that we will be calling another door company. There ARE other options in town now. I would even pay an out of town company to come and do it! I will NEVER work with this company again or recommend them. They were really good about selling us $14000 worth of doors, but forget about service after the sale! Way over priced compared to other manufacturers in the Jackson Metro area. I didn't like how pushy the salesmen are, and they totally misrepresented the value and security of a traditional alarm system. I felt kind of hustled by the reoccurring salesman in The Family Guy cartoon. A friend of the family also had a bad experience with the customer service, he had some railings installed, they rusted out in a couple of months and still haven't been replaced by the company's guarantee. read more
