Shelly was fun, approachable and well-informed. We stopped and tasted at six places with a nice variety of foods and drinks. Plus, we got a nice history of the preservation of the Old Market district and the rising food scene in Omaha. Thoroughly impressed. Do food tours a lot when I travel (which is often) and this is one of the best in a long while.

Great place to walk in the summer due to plentiful shade and my dogs loved to cool off in the stream. One of the busier parks in the area, used for graduation photos and group picnics on a regular basis. Over the years we've seen ducks, woodchucks, a huge snapping turtle, owls and a fox while walking here. And if you want a longer walk, Blackhawk Park is part of the Daniell Trail so the walk can be extended for miles.

This park is full of a huge variety of mature trees, which makes for good birdwatching and bug watching, slime mold watching, etc. There is also a playground here, a pavilion, a dog park, a frisbee golf course, and a lagoon. I think the children's pool and tennis center are still here as well, on the south edge of the park. There is a big greenhouse here for growing plants for the city parks but unfortunately it was severely damaged during an intense hail storm this summer. The park is fairly clean though some trash was piled up next to the trash cans since obviously they had not been emptied. Other than that, I don't have any complaints. A lot of Canada geese are sometimes by the lagoon, so if you're afraid of them, don't go over there. No worries! They are little hissing dinosaurs.

We've been renting a lot for our rv from Washington Terrace for the last three years. I wasn't sure…read moreif this was the right place for us when I saw it (there are a lot of lots) but am now extremely happy we decided to try it. The management was very helpful in getting our rv hooked up as we were first time rv buyers. The location is near all the amenities we could ask for while being quiet at night. Our neighbors were welcoming and friendly, and made me feel safer about leaving our rv for extended periods of time while my husband was between jobs and we went back home. The park itself is neatly kept. Some may not like being asked to cut their grass, but I appreciated it as all the lots were well maintained. Sadly, my husband's job has ended and we're taking our rv back home. If he ever has work in the area again and we need a place to rent, Washington Terrace remains our first choice.

This is specifically a review about the Living History weekends…read more I highly suggest visiting during a living history weekend. There are many people in period costume. We sat in the fort's school room and got quizzed on things from the time period, look around a carpenter's shop, helped press apples for cider, visited the general store, spoke to an archeologist working to uncover the orginal blacksmith shop, witnessed a canon firing, and so much more.

You get to smash TVs, bottles, other electronics, vases, plates, tables, and more. (Note - some of the wine bottles are harder to smash.) The owner is great to work with. We had a party of six and he provided us with baseball bats and a crowbar for smashing. Each of us had our own basket of items that we could smash such as beer bottles, plates, and wine bottles. You could also grab other items inside the room. I recommend this for a fun activity or to relieve stress.

I called in July 18th to make a reservation for a smash party. Booked it for 10 people just to be safe, so I paid the $321. However soon after I hung up the phone I was getting notifications and e-mails from my bank suspecting fraud. I check my account and I was charged the $321 FOUR TIMES. I immediately called back and spoke to the owner who said that something went wrong in her system and she would refund the extra charges. I saw them as pending returns so I assumed that since it was a Friday they would go through by Monday. Nope. They disappeared. For the past few weeks I have called, left a message on the website, and even spoke to the owner on the day of the party. She said she received my message and issued the refunds (again, I assume?). That was July 29th. I had my party, and it was a great time. But again. Almost $1,000 of my own money has been in the pockets of this business since 7/18. It's now 8/8. I still have three charges of $321 on my bank account. So I basically paid for 30 people to have a smash party when I had FIVE. I've held off on writing a Yelp review because I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt but at this point I am over it. The fact that I have to continuously call/message and dispute transaction with my bank to get MY OWN MONEY BACK is so ridiculous. Hoping another smash room opens up in the area because I've given enough money to this business to last a lifetime.

What a joke. While the course has been shortened, the walk is still pretty cool. Bring water. I like the overall refresh of the lake, but this is one of the worst parks in general in Omaha. Seriously overgrown and undermaintained. I play here only for variety now.
