Not sure why all the low reviews... Mister Car Wash did the job when we needed a car wash badly. We had a lot bugs on the front of our car and it would be unrealistic for me to think that a car wash would take off all the bugs in one auto wash. I still needed to use some elbow grease to get the residual bugs off, but it did a pretty good job overall getting most of it off! But most of all, they shined up our tires real nice with the wash! I was really impressed. Most drive through car washes don't do such a thorough job with the tires but I must say, Mister Car Wash did a nice job. We got the Basic Plus wash which was $14. I don't think a car wash should ever be more than $15. The dryer could use some work, but overall, it did a great job and we will be back. read more

Like most Mister car Wash facilities, this one is wash only. There are free vacuums, but any interior wipe down is up to you. When I have needed assistance, the staff on hand have been pleasant and helpful. As far as the washes go, the automated system does a respectable job. Not a perfect 10, but pretty close, and certainly much easier and fasy than spending a Sunday afternoon washing it myself. Things to know: *. Entrance and exit to this facility can be a little tight. Ingersoll avenue is a busy, but nice, shopping area. * There are 6 vacuuming stations, not that I have ever seen them all in use at once. * The machines here are not touch less, if that is important to you. read more

The only reason I'm giving a one is because zero isn't available. Usually the back doesn't get clean but now the side AND the front arent either. There's a guy standing at the beginning with thewash wand refuses to use it. Why doesn't he always your he can when they know their car wash doesn't get the vehicles is management? Why aren't they teaching these people to pre-wash the cars? they're standing there anyway why don't they use the wand so we can get a decent wash? Unfortunately, even if I get a decent wash the dryer at the end doesn't work either so I'm still gonna have a wet car. So ridiculous. read more

Not a good experience for me. I had never been before and was confused by all the options, the staff didn't explain anything. Prices were very high for service. I paid $24 for just the inside of my car to be cleaned, didn't even go through the actual car wash. I got my car back and there was still dog hair, crumbs, and trash inside my vehicle. read more

Be careful. Maybe today was just a bad day for them, however in my opinion they were awful. Purchased the $35 inside and out wash. Wheel wells had mud on them, inside wipe down was "half done" at best. Upon asking them to address the issues they said the interior wipe down was "a quick wipe down only" and the mud remaining was they can only do what the wag does. (I didn't go mudding, but was from a recent snowstorm and normal driving around). I asked for a refund and they told me they did a "beautiful" job and my only recourse was to call corporate as they set the rules. After asking 5 times, I finally got a refund. read more

I don't get my car washed as frequently as I should but when I do I always think, "I should splurge and do it right." But unfortunately even though Mister Carwash is convenient to my house I walk away disappointed each time. I always expect that a thorough cleaning will be 15-20 minutes but each time I end up waiting for 45+ minutes. And that would be fine except consistently the quality is just not good enough. Smeared windows, missed exterior, and this time they left an entire bottle of cleaner in my backseat. I think I'm officially done at this location. read more

Came here the other day to wash my sedan but NEVER AGAIN. Entrance was INCREDIBLY difficult to maneuver through. The entrance of the car wash has these bollards (think of the target concrete balls), I'm not sure who made THAT decision to place it in THAT spot but it made the process of entering the wash SO MUCH more difficult. If you have a long or large vehicle AVOID this car wash. Very small wash. It reeked terribly like a putrid and expired smell, rancid. The smell lingered on my car even after leaving! Expensive for the service I received, the machine turned off more than 5 times, I understand if it happened a few times, but it was very infuriating since I only wanted a quick convenient wash. I used to be a monthly subscriber, until their service ceased to exist. They can't get my floor mats back into place. They absolutely refuse to follow directions. I keep gas receipts in the cup holder in my console. I asked them to leave the console alone so as to not mix up my receipts. The first time they blew me off but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The next visit was the same. They have even, on occasion replaced my floor mats on top of the pedals. There are too many car washes in the area to put up with their crap. read more

Took my newer truck to this car wash and watched as a guy was jumping up on cars to dry off the hoods of vehicles so when I get mine I noticed a scratch on my fender so I asked them what they were going to do to fix the problem. So they wanted to buff it out so I let them scratch looks better but still there so I asked them now what they said that was all they were going to do for me so I guess they can scratch you car and say too bad it took 2 calls and over a week for the district manager to even call me back and he said pretty much too bad I would think they would want good word of mouth but I guess not read more

I have the unlimited membership (it's $32 a month so I don't expect a hand wax) and frequently take my truck through the wash. Atleast once a week. I've been to 3 other locations and while you don't get a perfect scrub, it's fast and does the job fine. This one is a whole different story. I spent 15 minutes trapped in line, and when I finally got in it took another 10 minutes to get through because their grips malfunctioned a dozen times and slid me off the tracks. read more

Always enjoy coming to this car wash. They always take care of my BMW with pride and do an excellent job on the inside. I would suggest doing the monthly membership as it will save you money in the long run. The only thing about the car wash is that is sits along busy Ingersoll Ave. When the street is busy, it can be dangerous attempting to make a left hand turn when you leave the car wash. When entering the car wash, it is a very tight fit, especially with those who drive trucks or any over sized vehicle. read more

I am a member and have been a member for over 2 years I have had a problem with this car wash in the past of a credit card being stole by an employee $600 later I tracked them down. of course the management didn't know the gentleman I was speaking of apparently he no longer work there, the police said they could do nothing about it just go to your bank and they should give all the money back to you. yesterday however I went to the same place and the driver that drove in my pickup hit one of the yellow poles that are by the exit door and then they tried to claim that that did not happen there, there for leaving damage on the front bumper of my 2016 ram pickup like I told the manager you don't care about this facility you don't care about what happens and you don't care about the damage that you do to the vehicles I will not be visiting this location never again , they always tried to say that it was like that before it came in and not never happen here like I said bull. I was visiting...my dad recommeded this place...unfortunately we were RIPPED OFF! 35dollars for a service we did not receive...bugs still on the front of the bumper, forgot to vacuum, the floor mats were not clean, seats still had crumbs in them the cup holders were not wiped out, the door frame had dust still there by the buttons and the best they could do was tell me I didnt pay for that service. this place is TERRIBLE!!! Such a rip off!!!! First off, i have a two door sports car so it shouldn't be that difficult to clean. It cost over $50 dollars to wash only two seats and for them to "clean and vacuum" the inside and wash the outside. I feel like they didn't even take the time to clean my car because before i could even sit down, they claimed they were done cleaning the inside and outside. I look around the exterior of my car, there were still stains. Within my car, there were still chocolate and food stains EVERYWHERE!! and the floors were still filthy! I asked the guy about it and he said he wasnt able to wash what was left in my car out. I came home and only used WATER and was able to remove some the stains! I wish that people would keep in mind that getting a car wash is a service and you should tip service providers! Mister car was did a nice job cleaning the interior and exterior of our car. The crew works very fast but does. It take shortcuts. Prices are decent and they have several packages to choose from. Pay 52.99 for platinum wash and the service has been getting worse. Had to run my car through twice bc inside wasn't wiped down and still wasn't clean afterwards but had to leave bc I was already there an hour. I feel like they get a bit busy and skip steps so customers aren't getting what they pay for. I'm talking platinum package, exterior only is a different story - hard to screw that up. Can't recommend Mister Car Wash on Ingersoll. I specifically asked the mats be cleaned, They were cleaner but still dirty. The back end had muddy water dripping down. The windows were clean at least. I finished cleaning it when I got home. Just sprayed some Hermans on the mats and the dirt came right up. Also finished cleaning the dust off the dash, and buffed all the wet areas left on my car. Not worth $30. I understand they were busy, but I would have waited longer for them to do a decent job. read more

Significant damage was done to our vehicle after a car wash at Mister Car Wash on Ingersoll. Accidents happen, I get it - Mister Car Wash however did not. The underlining of the vehicle was ripped out and subsequently drug underneath the vehicle and the bumper was scratched and moved out of place. The representative for Mister Car Wash said it was impossible for the damaged to have occurred in their 'modern-day' car wash. They were unreasonable to work with and did not take responsibilities for their actions. THINK TWICE before taking your luxury vehicle to be washed and detailed here. The workers (from Mexico) stole my Key Fob Keys from my new Jeep Grand Cherokee in addition to my house keys/ house alarm fob/ Bank safety deposit box key and safe key from my vehicle. The cost to replace all of these security items is at $1,650.88. I'm looking into legal action against Mister Car Wash for reimbursement. The workers also managed to steal my car tags just purchased 4 days ago. They stole it from my glove box as I hadn't put them on the license plates yet. The Manager at the Ingersoll Des Moines Mister Car Wash pretends he doesn't speak English when asked why the Key Fobs disappeared. I've called the police two times. read more

Price -to-quality ratio not so good, you could honestly spend 30 dollars purchasing the cleaning supplies and do a much better job yourself. My car still had napkins and peanuts in the car throughout and bugs despite having told them to use extra spray. The employees need to use a bit more effort and the bugs would come off (which they did when I grabbed the sponge and did it myself). If I go back I would do the 10 dollar option because for nearly 40 dollars the quality is not worth it. read more

Took my newly purchased truck to get washed. i have wide mirrors. I was not used to them. Didnt get closed in. got through the carwash and the drier hit both mirros. Significant damage caused to both sided. passenger side glass fell out and broke heating wires off. was told their car wash dosen't have anything to cause damage. Would replace the glass only on 1 side. what about the broken wires. so i just drive my truck with scratches and damage to the outer casing? Ok so they first couple of times I went here the staff did a excellent job I don't know what changed but now it's just pointless to come back over and over my car had not been getting cleaned. The staff rush and missed areas to clean they don't wipe off the side bottom of the car and I have to basically wash my car again myself so what am I paying you all to do. I'm better off going to the car wash at the gas stations and then vacuuming it out myself for a lower cost and know that's it's clean cause oddly enough the gas station car wash does a better job the the full service at this place! read more
