And to please choose something else. So I ordered a pale ale, draft. It came and was funky. I returned it right away. Ordered Miller light in a bottle. My sis ordered a modelo and thought she ordered a bottle but got a draft. It to was funky and had to return it. I had the ribeye with baked potato and side salad. The salad was nice. The steak nicely cooked. Seasoned well. Enjoyed it. But the potato was one step from cold. Also the restrooms not clean and very dark. For the price point I expect better. This is an old restaurant. We had a reservation for my husband's birthday celebrations. The dining area has a variety of seating. And is cozy and comfortable We were attended to by a very nice lady. Good advice about beer. My hubby had originally requested Stella and was told there was an issue with the keg. Thereafter whatever beer we ordered draft did not taste good. Beer in a bottle is fine. So if you guys wanted beer- pls go with the bottle option. I ordered the lavender limoncello spritz. And that tasted very good- delicate and balanced. We ordered onion rings for starters- that was pretty good. Bread was good as well- soft with a light crust and fluffy on the inside. We were a party of 7 and two of us ordered strawberry spinach salad with crabcakes. I'm going to comment only on my food and my husband's. I ordered French onion soup with strawberry spinach salad. My French onion soup appeared together with my salad. The cheese on top of the soup was barely melted- still looked pale. The parmesan on top was toasted to a good brown. The soup itself felt over salted for me. And the croutons in the soup was submerged in soup for awhile so its soggy. The strawberry spinach salad itswlf was delicious and I had ordered crab cakes. Crab cakes were nicely fried. But it tasted more like croquettes- like it was crab flavoured potato cakes. My hubby's steak was cooked very well- as he ordered medium rare. But he said it was not remarkably good. I went to the ladies and wanted to comment that it was super dark. Could hardly see clearly in there. And certain stalls were in darkness. Only a few had light bright enough to see. Overall, the dining area is bright enough to see. Our server kept checking on us so service is good. But didn't like that their draft system is not properly maintained. The cost of the food is not worth it unfortunately. For the price we paid, I would have expected a lot more. 3 stars because of a myriad of things Draft system, dark restroom, ok food but not worth the astronomical prices. read more

A little piece of history right on the main street of downtown Lincoln and a stones throw away from the Lied performing arts center. Street parking is available and the key to this area is going early enough for dinner where you can snag a meter parking spot just before they expire at 6 PM and then you're good for the rest of the evening. The restaurant offers easy access for anybody with accessibility needs. Nice big bar entry at the entrance and a large dining room to accommodate big crowds. This restaurant does take reservations however they do not on Nebraska cornhusker weekends Friday, Saturday. The restaurant offers a standard steakhouse/bar menu type food. Good quality, very hearty, very satisfying comfort food. The full bar has several specialties available as well as plenty of beer on tap. Pricing is fair for the large quantity of food offered. Our server was super friendly and made sure we wanted for nothing. Having dinner here works perfectly as a before show dinner spot, being so close to the Lied Center, and avoiding the dinner rush that was quickly picking up as we were leaving. Party rooms are available for special events or even a private dining experience. Misty's is located steps away from the Embassy Suite Hotel on the edge of Nebraska University campus. This restaurant is quaint and the staff is attentive and friendly. The food is OK. Actually, the food could be pretty good if prepared as ordered. Food Review: Salad - served on a nice chilled plate, very fresh greens, good taste. Wish cheese was added. T-Bone Steak - requested medium well, received well done. It was seasoned perfectly but it was very dry! Loaded Mash Potatoes - OMG! Soooo good. We went to the downtown location after my son's college soccer game. We were actually worried about how we were dressed and when we arrived we were the best dressed. We called on the way there to see if needed a reservation and was told they could sneak 3 people in (6pm). We arrived and was surprised by the multiple portal air conditioners throughout the building. Looked like an Old Country Buffet that they converted to Misty's and kept the tables, chairs and booths. My son ordered a 14 oz Ribeye, salad and baked potato. I suggested he get it as it's a nice cut of beef and very flavorful. Not!! Salad was limp lettuce and over baked potato. Here's the best part- the 14oz Ribeye was 10oz of fat and 4 oz of meat. My son was so hungry and knew we were paying $50 for his steak, that he ate what he could and said its too much fat! So disappointed in so many ways. This is soley on ownership and lack of pride. Won't go back and will tell others of our experience. read more

Food was delicious!! Drinks were excellent!! Service awesome!! Bathroom not bright sunlight but good enough to see what I was doing!! We had a server being trained - no problems with that. Y'all don't sleep on Misty's!!! I almost missed out. It was literally the BEST steak I ever had. It melted in my mouth with each bit. I typically enjoy my food thoroughly seasoned, but child, this steak had the love of GOD embedded with just a touch of salt and pepper. Oh Misty's, where do I begin. Let the record state that this is the downtown location!! We arrived before the rush and everything took forever from the word go. Our waitress was extremely polite and courteous. Meanwhile the service was less than superb... Two of our food orders came out incorrectly and wings with sauce on the side took 2 attempts. Not to mention I can get better wings from the frozen food aisle at Hy-Vee. Long story short do better please and thanks!! I really enjoyed my dinner at Misty's a few weeks ago! We went to the location in downtown Lincoln (right by the Kindler) and were quickly greeted/sat at a table. We did not have reservations, but that was not an issue. There were shockingly lots of people there for a Tuesday night but the place is pretty big once you go inside! I ordered the filet mignon (the smallest portion which was 5oz I think) and it was delicious. They overcooked it a bit (I asked for medium rare and it was more medium). This did not bother me, but it is something to note if you are particular about the cook on your meat. The meal came with a starter and a side. I did the soup (seafood bisque) as my starter and the garlic mashed potatoes as my side. Both were delicious! I also loved how they brought out rolls with butter before your meal as well. Very supper club/steakhouse like. The desserts didn't look too great to me (they presented them on a tray), so we passed on those. Be prepared to spend a pretty penny but overall, it is worth it and I think you will enjoy! read more

My group and I came in right when they opened. Our server, Izabella, was not the friendliest right off the bat. We had just spent all day outside in the heat so some of us were just satisfied with waters, but we asked for straws. Before the rest could order our drinks, she said "I guess I'll go get that". At a restaurant of this level no staff person should step between me and the host to speak to someone else. Awkward moment to begin the visit. Our server seemed under trained, please don't make me ask for water, just bring the pitcher. After waiting an extended period for food when the house was not that busy, what was presented was disappointing. The pork chop my companion had looked well prepared and was reportedly tasty. My sirloin was just not good. Ordered mid-rare, it arrived beige on the outside and beige in the inside with a slightly vinegary taste to whatever seasoning was on it. Excellent all the way through. Cool atmosphere with a mix of nice and sports memorabilia. It was 5 degrees on a Monday and the crowd was sparse but I can imagine on a game day/night or a warmer day this would be the place to be. Their steaks and seafood were a bit pricey but the bar food seemed very reasonable. I had the ribeye and it had great flavor but I added the mushrooms and those were absolutely phenomenal. Not just sautéed in a butter but there was a wine hint to them and they were well worth the $2 add on. Look forward to trying the prime rib next time through. My most recent time here was my second experience dining, however I never Yelped the first time. It wouldn't matter anyway because my review would remain the same. I was invited to dinner by one of my student's parents as a thank you for helping them get into my college. I had a very tight schedule so I recommended we stay near the UNL campus and right by my hotel. They chose Misty's because they wanted me to experience the Nebraska, steak experience. I already knew Misty's did a great job because I've eaten steak from there the year before. Upon arrival, we put in our orders right away with our drink orders because we only had an hour. Our food came out very quickly. I order the fillet, medium well and it came with my choice of a soup or a salad. I chose a salad. That came out right away with the bread first. By the time I was done eating my salad my steak was already ready. I'm not sure if the parents had told the server we were in a rush, but we were able to eat a full meal in less than an hour. Props to them for getting it done so fast. My steak was delicious and everyone else's meal looked amazing as well. Let's just say there was no crumbs left on any of our plates. The environment is not very lively, pretty calm and family oriented was the feeling I got both times. Not sure about parking, because I walked but I would imagine that street parking would be the best option. Unless I'm missing a parking lot that I didn't see.
