This is a nice place to relax and have a good meal! The service is great here. The food is good, mostly just the average stuff, but good! The view is awesome, you get to see the lake all around you! They have a neat little giftshop when you first walk in the entrance, too! So if you are out and about on your boat, park it at the dock and go relax and get some food, or if by car they also have a road to get to the restaurant.

We sat at the bar window outside on a beautiful day. Great service. Food was delicious. Wonderful location.

Restaurant review, not the marina We went to Mitchell Creek Restaurant to visit some friends who had just bought a houseboat. We showed up a full hour before their posted closing time, only to be told the restaurant was "on a break." Five minutes later, that story changed now they were suddenly "closing early because they ran out of food." Honestly, that sounded like a lazy excuse. It felt like the staff just didn't want to work. The worst part? The marina had actually hired a band to play that night, but all the customers left because the restaurant basically shut down. Completely ridiculous. This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. There are far better places around Dale Hollow Lake, and we definitely won't be back. We usually try to give new places a fair shot, but this one blew it completely. read more

We rented a newly renovated houseboat this past week for 5 days / 4 nights and it was THE BEST! I have camped and been on the lake my entire life and I can say this was the best lake experience of my life. If you are on the fence about renting a houseboat from here, don't be. Just rent the houseboat! You won't regret it! The houseboat itself was amazing, it was in GREAT shape for a rental, newly renovated, everything worked flawlessly! The staff and crew are 5 star peeps! Nicest most southern charm people you can find on the lake! They do all the work for you, they can pick you a nice spot or you pick your own.. they will drive it out.. tie it up.. bring you more gas for the generator if you need it.. anything.. they are on it! I actually have made friends with some of the crew just by chatting and sharing stories. The Marina itself is awesome!! Come relax in some chairs, get a bite to eat, do some shopping, play some cornhole, large jenga or even large connect 4... lights... music... I can't say enough great things and I have zero negative things to say. We are already booking it again for next year and a full week!! If you have thought of or dreamed of trying out a houseboat, don't wait anymore I promise you will make the best memories you can make with you loved ones! read more

I can't say enough positive things about our stay with Mitchell Creek Marina. We rented a the Castaway Houseboat #3 for our family summer vacation and we had the most amazing time. It's been recently renovated and they have done a fabulous job! The staff go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need, if there's any issues they rush to fix it. If you're on the fence, book it! You won't regret it! read more

The road in was pretty iffy, the parking lots were not in great shape and not clearly lined or marked. Long walk from the parking lot to the store/restaurant, plus up and over an elevated bridge/walkway. Handicapped and more senior folk ain't gonna like it at all. Store was small, upstairs, but had a few things. The three young girls at the register were friendly but clueless. The restaurant was tiny and not exactly clean. The food was limited, pricey and downright awful. There was no 'bar' that served 'drinks' as I had seen advertised, but they did serve a few varieties of beer. Also advertised was that they rented bass boats, which I was informed was not the case....although it was hard to actually tell, because the staff had no brochures, pictures or info about the boats they rent and only gave me an estimate for a couple of pontoon boats they had (they pointed in some general random direction....like I'm supposed to go find them). Was pretty disappointed overall, as it is the closest Dale Hollow marina to where we live. Luckily there are plenty more around. read more

We arrived for our pontoon rental and they were out of tubes and our rental didn't have a tow bar. They went out of their way to hook us up with a tow rope and tube vs selling us a new one. Very friendly despite the busy holiday traffic. Only complaint would be that there was not an anchor so we had to position the boat often to keep from prop damage. Bluetooth radio would have been helpful as well. read more

Cute marina. My parents have their boat docked there. Had a large party eat for dinner after a day on the lake. Had the catfish and it was good. It's came in pieces no bones. They also have frog legs of that's your thing. The standard Menu as well. If you eat on the 2nd floor they have one of those conveyor belts thingies to hoist the food up. Kinda cool kids liked that. read more

Nice clean and inviting place. The marina staff were friendly and helpful. The waitress at the restaurant was very talkative and suggested a meal. We had the pulled pork sandwich. The sandwich was good and reasonably priced. Well maintained marina with new covered docks read more

Rented a pontoon boat Sunday Of Memorial Day weekend and was disappointed in the experience. 1. They didn't have live bait for sale which last season they did so we were expecting to purchase our bait there. 2. They didn't sale out of state fishing license and last season they did. 1 and 2 resulted in a trip back to town delaying our departure from the dock an hour. Then unknowing what time we needed to have the boat back, we were 45 minutes late and they charged $125.00 late fee. 3. The bathrooms was out of order, supposedly no water. Up in the day they were working. Then in the evening they were out of order again, supposedly no water. The weird thing about that is that the restaurant that is part of the same building was open. So I'm wondering how they had water. We have rented boats there for 3 years and this is the worst experience that we've had. It has new owners and they really need to step up their game. read more

Rented a Sea Doo from these guys for a day earlier this summer. Nice folks, good rates, great service. This is a nice marina, and management/owner clearly put in the effort to keep it tidy and provide a good customer experience. read more

Food was good but the prices are AWFUL! We went for lunch today. A family of 6, ordered regular lunch food and ice cream. My end bill was $80 FOR LUNCH. Under new management and they need to re-evaluate the cost. read more

I have been a life long attendee of the Mitchell Creek Marina...4 decades and counting. I have loved this place for ever....except recently. It's gone to new management and the store is empty, the restaurant is horrible and should fail inspections, and the staff (with the exception of 1 or 2) is basically a group of young folks who clearly hate being there. It is very sad to see this great place go down the tubes. I'm being nice and giving 2 stars because of my love of the area. I will not eat at the restaurant again. The food came out looking dirty like the cooktop hadn't been cleaned in a while, the manager brought lettuce out in his hand, and the food was just all around bad. Gross. read more

Very nice and HELPFUL people. After my mom and I tried several times getting out boat off the trailer, I went to get help at the Marina. Kennedy and the young man in the ball cap where very helpful. They helped us get the boat off but also helped me drive the boat to the dock to get my mom. I can't thank them enough! Thank you Mitchell Creek marina for a great time... made right by helpful AND nice employees! read more

History
Established in 2006.
Our History Flows Through These Waters. Livingston Boat Dock was one of the "old-time" docks on the lake, having been around since the 1950s. In 2006, the dock was sold to Doug Smith, and Mitchell Creek Marina & Resort was born. By April of 2018, Mitchell Creek Marina was sold and plans are underway for significant investments in infrastructure and the property. Dale Hollow Lake may have been formed for flood control and hydroelectric power, but a few years after its impoundment, privately owned marinas began to dot the shoreline surrounding Dale Hollow Lake, attracting families and fishermen. Livingston Boat Dock quickly became a popular hotspot, serving the area of the lake between Celina and Livingston. Mitchell Creek Marina continues the tradition of a family friendly destination for Slip Holders and cabin visitors alike.

This marina and the entire area of land and water around it are extremely clean. It rents boat slips, all kinds of watercraft plus cabins and houseboats. There's a supply store and also a boutique that has a lot of things you can't get anywhere else around the lake. The cabin we stayed in for a week was so clean you could have eaten off the bathroom floor when we got there. It was decorated nicely and every room had just what we needed, so all we had to bring was what we wanted to eat and our personal items. It was great to have the restaurant just down the dock. There are all kinds of activities for children and families. There's free music or movies many of the summer weekends. Everyone was very helpful and took pride in their service to us. read more

Update on my last review when my husbands phone was stolen. We have good info as to the location of our suspiciously missing phone 8 days ago. Co tacted a lawyer and found out a plan of action. It costed us over $1I. Yes, it was accidentlyleft on the table at at, but with another customer's eye witness, were going after a felony charge now. Ppl make mistakes, but honesty is so hard to get. We dont blame the restaurant, just the staff member. Was told the person who cleaned the table. We have a legally sworn statement from the customer at a table next to theirs., whom not only saw it but took a picture of the staff member.. read more
