Crystal made everything easy for me. I asked her a couple questions and she was able to run some numbers and made me feel like this wouldn't be as daunting as my previous experience. When I first started looking at refinancing, I visited a website and I had 10-15 loan officers calling me at ALL hours of the day. Being a first time home buyer, I never appreciated how important fast closing times were until we tried, and failed, at bidding for houses against the all-cash offers. While we were searching for a house, she was replying to emails, texts and phone calls day and night, weekdays and weekends, sometimes as late as 11:30pm. We initially expected that with this level of service and closing time, the interest rate would be substantially higher, but her offer was actually the second most competitive interest rate offered of the ~9 lenders we checked with. Where she really pulled through for us was when we put down an offer for the home we purchased. We were up against an all-cash offer, every (non-all-cash) buyer's nightmare. Susan took the time to call up the seller agent and spent time explaining to him how she would be able to close our loan and get a close of escrow at least as fast as what the all cash buyer was offering, and convinced him we were credit worthy and wouldn't have a problem with the loan.
