I started a newspaper delivery for the WSJ on the 19th and everyday it has been delivered to the wrong address every day. Granted Dow Jones had the wrong apartment number now been fixed by them. But despite assurances by Mitchell's it could be addressed it has been delivered wrong, and I have called everyday !!! they are already delivering a paper to the right address. read more

They aren't left in front of our driveway or at the curb.for over twenty five years we have been willing to pay a little extra each month to be guaranteed this remarkable service. On a sunny day, it's not a big deal to stroll to the curb and get your newspapers but during lousy weather but especially during blizzards, there's nothing nicer than being snowbound and having a cup of coffee and your favorite newspapers! In have been a customer of Mitchell's NY for maybe 20 years just having had my newspapers delivered to my apartment in Manhattan. Starting December 2019 I have had my newspapers...turns out only the New York Post, ( the Wall street journal and Barrons are purchased directly) but the same delivery service in Florida delivers all to my door).. My current bill shows for 8 weeks the New York Post they are charging me $196.40 to have it delivered. when I called to complain, I nice lady told me she had to switch this to the billing department. The billing department lady said it should have been $32.60 less and i said this is totally unacceptable. Why because in the first instance I was getting the New York edition in New York, a big difference from The National Edition that is delivered with late news, AND particularly the Famous Sports section. has little control over Florida delivery ..and as to me s I was getting less and paying a lot more than if i had the delivery service subscription done through the NY Post, which come to my door through the same delivery service for less than HALF the price Mitchell's advertises serving the five boroughs and Mitchell does more than deliver newspapers ..and on its website for the New York Company it is .in its highlighted list of Services it does not even mention newspapers. The Company has grown which is good, but as to delivering newspapers out side New York it is not as far as I can see a priority and I Trust as a matter of good will, and more so for failure to advise me I was getting a National Edition and being charged as though I was getting delivery service in Manhattan, where my Concierge had to then separate out and deliver my local edition newspaper an adjustment will be made in addition to not paying current invoice. My situation may be special, as to Florida and the NY Post...so I can only offer my review with respect to Florida service, over which they had little control, when deliveries may have been even missed from time to time. I have a New York Magazine subscription, and it's delivered -- at least in theory -- by Mitchell's. However, they rarely do. I call, I email, I tell them that once again, they've failed to deliver my magazine. They claim they delivered it, they pass me from employee to employee, they promise they've fixed the problem, then the exact same thing happens. Lather, rinse, repeat. And no one takes accountability. Each time I email or call, I have to start all over, explaining the problem to someonenew, who makes paper promises and never solves the problem. read more

All of the good reviews are from 2017. They recently switched to a new delivery service and the service has been terrible. My company has used Mitchell's NY for years now. It was always a reliable service. However starting around September, 2018 it has been a nightmare. Newspapers are rarely delivered on time if at all, and they don't answer their emails when you complain. DO NOT use Mitchells. There are plenty other services you can chose from. TRUST ME. We had a very tight delivery schedule and events in NYC. We hired Mitchell's NY to do multiple deliveries of refrigerated product throughout the city. It was a really quick turnaround and our activations depended on those deliveries. We worked with Kieran and he did a stellar job! He's incredibly detail oriented, professional, and communicative. Since there were multiple deliveries and lots of moving parts, communication was key. Kieran gave real-time updates on the deliveries and was nimble when it came to making changes at the last minute. Current long time customer that has had problems from the beginning (about 3 years). My dad pays for door to door delivery yet his paper never gets delivered. He is constantly making phone calls and still no change. No one seems to care about the service (or lack there of) that's being provided and rectifying the situation. Would never recommend Mitchell's services. As an update 7/2018 - both my dad and I were contacted by a Mitchell'sNY manager and the service since has been great. This is the most incompetent service in NYC, they know it and not in the least bit apologetic about it. I pay for newspaper delivery 5 times a week. I receive it on average of 2 times a week. This means I do NOT receive 60% of what I pay for. I called them to tell them I was not receiving what I paid for and the 'customer service' woman responds by saying 'I'm not surprised" !!!! I ask them to at least reimburse me for what I paid for and did not receive and she says "we donts reimburse nuthin" (direct quote). At least they have 'educated, dedicated' people there. Consider yourself warned. Do NOT give these people business if you expect to get what you paid for or have your business treated with respect. read more

After being satisfied for years, the delivery service provided has become intolerable. I take both Barrons and the wall Street Journal, and there have been five missed deliveries in three weeks. My apartment is just a couple blocks from their office. This is one miserable service. Look around for other options before you sign on with these people. read more

Service is spotty. A lot of telephone sympathy but no improvement. Have two newspapers delivered in Midtown East for 10 years. Delivery person refuses to get off elevator and rolls up the papers in a red rubber band, and throws it halfway down the hall in the direction of my door. Same for my next door neighbor. Working hard to tackle the complex logistics of NYC I have been working with Mitchells for about a year now - Ups and Downs aside, the people are why I stay. We use them for receiving and storage as well as distribution to our multiple locations across the city and although things can happen, its WORLDS BETTER than the competition. The flexibility they offer is invaluable to a startup like ours and Drew and has been a hero to us during the growth of our business. Without him and his team, we could would not be able to sustain company. Now with development on API connections, PAR level alerts and tracking, and access to any reporting I need, I wont be going anywhere. read more

I'm glad to hear that Athur got his paper on Monday, the heart of the snowstorm. While I wouldn't hold anyone to delivering in the middle of a terrible snowstorm, it's now Wednesday and and we haven't seen a paper THIS WEEK. Hardly a month goes by without a missed paper but this is THREE DAYS now with NO paper. Maybe it's because we haven't tipped the delivery people in a while but the service has had enough problems that we just couldn't reward someone for bad service. My go to for all things trucking. Whether it's just a van or a large truck they always give me a great rate. Friendly knowledgeable drivers and very reliable! Kieran Pickering is the only rep I use. I swear he works 24/7! I can always reach him especially in emergencies. I work in theater so we often need lots of trucks to move very odd items and Mitchell'sNY handles it like the pros they are every single time. I've probably booked around 100 trucks with them over the last couple years for various jobs and have never had any complaints. read more

On the Upper West Side of Manhattan, we've been plagued by the homeless stealing our delivered newspapers for quite a while, but it's turned into a weekly occurrence in the past several weeks. One of the main reasons is Mitchell's. Despite providing access codes to allow the newspapers to be left inside the lobby, Mitchell's drivers are too lazy to use the codes. For the past 4 weeks, The NY Times have been stolen every Saturday and Sunday morning because the drivers just leave the papers out in the open, and they're immediacy swiped. I have called Mitchell's every Monday for the past 4 weeks, and the owner assures me the drivers are using the codes to get inside, but I've been lied to again and again. When I actually got someone on the phone at Mitchell's this Sunday morning, she had no record of an access code, and sent the driver out with the papers for our building. AGAIN, the driver did not ring our bell, did NOT use an access code, just left the papers out in the open. Too bad this worthless company is the only one The NY Times uses to deliver their product. read more

Whatever you do, do NOT get involved with these people! We used Mitchell's for over 20 years and never had a complaint or problem in all that time. Then, about 6 months ago, problems started happening, and whenever we called about them, we got rude and unpleasant responses and no action. One time, I called to adjust our delivery schedule for the summer, which had never been a problem in any of the 20 previous years. This time, however, they made a big deal of it, and the woman "RJ" (Rachida Joshua) actually called my husband to make sure that the changes I had made were OK with him! Can you believe it?! Mitchell News overcharges--beware!! It's my mistaje that I didn't catch this sooner that Mitchell was charging me $1820/year for home delivery of the NY Times. I called the NYT and they corrected the situation and I'm now charged $102/year. read more

Having dealt with several moving companies for commercial jobs in the past, I always come back to Mitchell's because they are consistent, reliable and friendly. They are always reachable, which I find very important when you have time sensitive moves, and upfront about costs so there are no surprises on the bill once the job is done. This delivery service started out with exceptional service; however, in the last 6 months the service has become deplorable. I didn't realize when I paid for home delivery of the News and Post that I would have to call several times per week in order to actually RECEIVE the papers. The frustration associated with their poor service far outweighs the slight inconvenience of having to purchase the papers at a news stand. If you have another option, take it! read more

About every three weeks, Mitchell's fails to deliver my Barrons magazine on Saturday. I am trying to get Barrons to use a different courier. Mitchell's is the WORST delivery service. My advice: find another. Any other is better, cause they cannot be less reliable than Mitchells. read more
