The process was easy enough as far as filling out forms, etc. and getting them sent in. Then he took several weeks to start looking at my discs despite me checking in fairly often. After all of that time, he claimed every disc was scratched and useless (they weren't at all) and that I had to pay for $700 dollars of shipping to get my discs back. Unfortunately he waited so long to go through them and respond that I was leaving the country for quite while and at the time was not able to do anything about it. I just want to make sure that nobody else gets scammed by this guy and loses all of their music.

I wanted to get rid of all of my CDs and DVDs (too much clutter) but when I checked all of the usual trader sites and stores, I found that my stuff was worth next to nothing. I kept Googling and discovered IpodMeister! Totally sounded too good to be true. The site looked extremely sketchy and low-budget, but they had some good reviews and an interview on Consumer Reports. Plus they pay for your shipping fees, so I figured I had nothing to lose. Approximate timeline: Sept. 22--Filled out online form. Sept. 23--Received FedEx label via email. Sept. 29--FedExed my discs. Oct. 1--IpodMeister received my box and sent confirmation email. Oct. 4--Box processed. Received email stating that about 10 discs were unacceptable and I could pay the difference ($14) via PayPal. Oct. 11-15--Some email correspondence regarding availability of the specific iPod Nano I requested. Oct. 22--Received iPod shipment and tracking info. Oct. 25--iPod delivered! So w/o the delay due to iPod availability, the whole process took about 3 weeks! Totally worth it! Not only did I get to clean house, but I got an iPod Nano! Yay!

They sent a technician on 4/11/19 who said he was going to order the faulty part and come back to finish the work on 4/17/19. On 4/17 I called them to see at what time they were coming to fix the printer, and the technician (Michael) said they were waiting for the part to arrive. The next day, as they didn't show up, I called again and to my surprise they said they never ordered the part, and that they needed our authorization. At that point, we were 10 days without a functioning printer in our office. I spoke with the owner (Steve), who said he would order the part and we scheduled their visit for Monday April 22nd. On the 22nd I called the owner to ask at what time they were coming. He didn't know who was coming, or at what time, or if the parts were ordered... he didn't even remember our last conversation. At the end of the conversation, without any reason or explanation, he said he didn't want to do business with us anymore, and hung up the phone. Maybe he didn't like that on our last conversation I mentioned his technicians were overcharging for the parts? Or, most probably, they once again failed at ordering the part. Who knows, the reality is they not only wasted our time, but also showed how little they care about their customers. Save yourself the headache and look for another company.

I called Specialty Business Solutions to see if they could send someone over. The woman who answers the phones is friendly, patient and accommodating. She immediately connected me to Andre´, the repair manager, who sent someone over the same day as my call. Although the repair couldn't be completed that day, understanding my frustration and need to be able to print, André sent a technician over the following day . Michael worked knowledgeably, skillfully and carefully. While the machine was disassembled he checked the condition of other parts to make sure they were in working order, and made sure the printer was working properly prior to leaving. My experience with Specialty Business Solutions was a good one. The price for the repair was fair, their customer service was excellent and their technician was skilled, neat and thoughtful. I would call on them again.

The place is clean and generally better maintained than some of the messy places that are only a block or two away. I tend to come by here every so often to pick up a lottery ticket and peruse the nice collection of magazines they have. Most mini stores in the area won't have such a diverse collection of reading material (newspapers, foreign mags, etc.) but the price they pay is a smaller inventory for things like food or toiletries of which they have very little. For some reason this place seems to be looming with traffic at all hours of the night. When their air conditioner isn't broken, it makes a world of difference in this place.
