It's been going downhill in service over the time I've been going here. First, the office has…read moreforgotten to call in my prescriptions several times. So extra trips and extra phone calls and waiting on hold almost every time. They also do not give patient instructions when booking appointments for physicals and procedures (fasting before certain blood tests). You need to ask if there's anything you need to know and even then they might not even look it up. I had to drink 32 oz of water and wait through someone else's sonogram Because the tech was expecting me to have been told to come with a full bladder. I was not told when making the appointment. My last straw was this past week.. There are 5 empty parking spaces for "MDVIP" patients that pay extra premium(which I do not). The rest of the lot for this building is divided between several offices inside, so the 5 are a subtraction from the Halper FM section. I arrived for my last appointment with 12 minutes to look for a parking space, but there were no free spaces in the lot except for the MDVIP ones. I drove around the neighborhood which is full of 1 way streets and lots of signs warning about getting towed. I called the office and was waiting on hold, I got stuck behind a garbage truck doing its rounds. I was caller number 7. Went back to the lot. MDVIP spaces were all open but nothing in the designated Halper section. Two more times around the block before I gave up and drove home. I was caller number 4.

I went directly to the hospital. On arrival the cardiologist conducted his own diagnosis, agreed with Dr. Bolic, authorized immediate surgery and assured me, both at that time and repeatedly on subsequent occasions, that Dr. Bolic had provided "first class medical care". Surgery was conducted immediately and confirmed Dr. Bolic's diagnosis and conclusion that immediate surgical intervention had been essential. Thanks to this immediate surgical intervention which I received as a result of Dr. Bolic's prompt diagnosis and referral my condition was cured and I sustained no permanent damages or injury. I have no doubt that Dr. Bolic saved my life or, at the very least, saved me from a very significantly impaired life. Separately, I have been a patient of Dr. Bolic for some time. I have always found him patient, willing to listen and willing to explain and to continue to explain until I understand what he is telling me. Most important, for me, he is an exceptionally nice man.

The second was I called to make an appt with my urologist, when I was informed he retired. I said give me an appt. With someone else. I was told they need approval to switch drs. I said I'm not switching Dr, you are, to which I was told I would get a call back within 48 hours. A week later I'm still waiting, but obviously made an appt somewhere else. It is now one month later and my Insurance broker still does not have the records. I have been trying to find out for two weeks the status of these records. My Insurance agent has called and I have called and I get no information. All they did was give me the telephone number of the Third Party that handles the records. All my other doctors have sent their records and they were received within one week. South Shore Heart does not even respond to my calls. I was told the person who handles Medical Records is on vacation. This is totally unacceptable and no none seems to care. I have told my Primary Care Physician not to recommend South Shore Heart.
