-I made an appointment TWO WEEKS ago for 4/16 -Day before appointment, I am told the doctor can't see me, but a PA can -Day of appointment, I am told that they are switching the time AND the PA -I canceled at time of appointment. #SoDone The office is highly disorganized and the documents they ask you to sign are well beyond what most practices ask. Do not waste your time. Find a primary associated with NYU or one of the better hospitals. This place is a joke! I made an appointment for 1230pm I arrived at 12:22 and waited over an hour and 45 minutes to see someone. To top it off there are a few of the front office staff that need an attitude check especially with patients that are sick. Why make appointments? Why not schedule less patients? Why waste peoples time when they are sick? Makes zero sense to me if I ran my business like this I would have no clients! If I could give them less stars I would. The only saving grace is the doctors if it wasn't for them I would have left after waiting so long. But I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GO ELSEWHERE if you're sick. read more

I've been coming here since I was about 13 years old I'm 43 now and never had an issue, I make an appointment and get seen usually with in about 10 to 15 minutes of it if they are really busy, Dr. Smith and Dr. Spera are my primary doctors and have very good bedside manner's while being very thorough,All the nurses are super friendly as well as the reception,I highly recommend Arsenio Medical for your entire family. read more

I agree with everyone else here the wait time is horrible. I came in at 1:30pm - my appointment is at 1:45pm I wasn't seen until 2:30pm that's crazy. However the doctors are not bad - but what I have come across lately is that PCP is only there if you are sickly otherwise you are sent to a specialist for other check -up. Pcp doctors should have experience with all stuff this is why they go to school and learn exactly like everyone else. Wow I would recommend to go only for the doctors otherwise the staff is nasty as well. read more

Front desk staff needs to work on manners and etiquette. I was seen on Friday 2/5 for an appointment and needed to schedule a follow up visit. I stood in front of the front desk girl to the immediate front for over 5 minutes while she sat and locked eyes with me on a personal phone call and never once said one moment or can you please hold on. Very rude and unacceptable. Please teach your receptionists how to treat patients. Only reason I didn't give it a 1 was because my experience with the doctor went pretty well. read more

This place is so incompetent! I went for an annual physical. One they charged me a $25 co-pay for annual check-up. Then had my blood and urine taken for testing. Three days pass and no call. So I decided to call myself to get my result. Just to be told there wasn't enough urine (I filled the damn cup), and I need to come back and have it done again. Are they kidding me!!! Where as the Medical Field has advanced tremendously, High Tec. etc. the personal and caring feelings sometimes vanish but not the case here. The Arsenio Medical staff is very professional and at the same time compassionate. Malky * Lina * and Loretta are the prime example of how to make a patient feel appreciated . Great support staff. Insurance * Referrals *prescriptions and test results are handled quickly. Dr. Spera in his method of seeing a patient also see's them as a person making them comfortable, enables him to get more information which helps in his quest to provide a higher standard of care. Been with this group for many years now. Very responsive to all of my calls and inquiries. A busy office at times, they try their best with seeing appointment on time but NEVER cut the visits short and attentively listens to concerns. During COVID-19, they have virtual visits which are extremely helpful. When needing documents, the office has been seamless in their response. Most of all, I trust the practitioners as they explain WHY they come to their decisions and welcome dialogue. I am grateful for their services, both when I want to see them and when I NEED to see them. Dr. Smith and Dr. Yee are standout practitioners, but I like them all. I recently moved to the area and I needed to get established with a primary care provider. I had an appointment at 1:30 pm on a Saturday, which is very convenient because of my work hours. The receptionist who gave me the appointment told me to fill out new patient forms online if I wanted to expedite the process, so I did. I walked in at about 1:25 pm and I was called in within 10 minutes. The intake nurse introduced himself and was super professional. I saw a Physician Assistant whose last name is Greco. She was awesome in explaining about the labs and testing and why they were doing specific tests. The nurse who drew my labs was experienced & super nice. I was somewhat anxious about the entire process, but she friendly and informative. I was in & out in a timely fashion. read more

I love Arsenio Medical. I see Dr Smith and he's really an amazing doctor. He's done so much for me. When I went to see him today he gave me a nebulizer treatment because my asthma was flaring up. He prescribed an inhaler and prednisone and told me to come see him on Sunday. He really cares for his patients. I highly recommend him. There is no wait time. I've been a patient with Arsenio medical d once 2009. I've jumped thru hurdles with insurance companies when the provider made changes without notifying me until after the fact. Kimmy in billing is very detailed oriented and very efficient in being sure the insurance companies are properly paid and in some instances going the extra mile to call me to advise of provider issues before I'd make an unnecessary trip to your office giving me time to correct whatever I need to. Recently you added a PA to your staff. Her name is Christine Greco. I applaud you select tionna of adding her to your staff. She is very witty and smart. She brings a fresh new vibe to your office. Since she's more recently out of medical school I feel her knowledge is of great value to your group. Her knowledge of medications and there effects on a person are phenomenal. A even greater value and understanding I have with her as apposed to other doctors at your office is, she like me has problems with b disk herniation as I do. This knowledge and experience gives her a better understanding of my injuries and complaints she physically experiences them whereas some of your other physicians as they do not/have not had to live their life in constant pain and have no true understanding when I say I need you to increase the dosage or the amount of tablets I take daily. I feel they spend more time worried about a medical license audit or my dosages being what they THINK they should be but do not live in my body every day. They have no physical pain to base this decision on just what my height and weight say I should take. They have a real difficulty understanding my body needs higher dosages than they feel comfortable writing a prescription for. I've by personal preferences have chosen not to take certain medications because 9f the dude affects. First instance I have in the past taken garvapantan/norontin in the past. I stopped taking it because a side effect it causes is incontinence so instead of my doctor saying ok I understand why your refusing to take this medicine so let me offset it and increase your oxycodone daily amount or dosage level I get no true help and spend most if my days in pain crippling more than necessary if my doctor would simply understand based on my VARIOUS MRI's which obviously indicate a medical condition relating to disc bulges and herniation I'm told I can't raise it. Your my doctor. If what your giving me is not working isn't it your responsibility to follow medically what is necessary to make my life less painful and more productive? I'd I've already repeatedly advised my doctor I refuse to have surgery on my spine b Eva use it requires sedation and I had a traumatic experience relating to sedation/medically induced coma gor 6 weeks because after being placed in one of lost my identity. I have memory lose and after 3 years I was finally able to google the side effects of being in a sedation of a medically induced coma and it stated "permanent personality changes and the inability to get a grip". I refuse to be pit in the position again so it's life long pain management for me. No I not having spine surgery. Dr. Greco understands my position and is willing to work with me as I have stated. She's thorough she doesn't rush me making me feel like just another patient. She doesn't shuffle me in and shuffle me out. She in my opinion don't rates true medical skills I love her she's fabulous and you are blessed to have such a doctor as a part of your practice. Such a horrible experience here. I don't know why I've been going to them for so long, probably because of location, but everything here is bassackwards. The staff are disorganized, there's no communication between MA's at the desk. The wait time is always over an hour just for you to see a doctor or a PA for 10-15 minutes while they click on a screen while half listening to you with one ear. They need to learn to talk and to listen to all of their patients, obviously there are exceptions working there but so far, the patient care I've experienced here is horrible. The 5 stars are for specifically Dr. Greco. My fiancé took me for a physical to the office after being a patient there for several years. I had my blood taken, a full physical, an EKG, time to speak to Dr. Greco in regards to any concerns I was having. She listened to my heart and heard something slightly and made it a point i could not leave with out the EKG. upon doing the eKG she found an issue and I was given a cardiologist referral. I never got that care, attention, or time from any other doctors I have gone to. She was really thorough and great! She had a great disposition and bedside manner - something usually not seen in doctors. I am glad I made the switch! read more

They have always found time to give me an appointment when other doctors wanted me to wait days to be seen. So that is a big Plus. I have always been treated with courtesy and the doctors have provided attentive care. The only reason that I did not give the practice five stars is the promotion of vitamins, oils and related products and services by the doctors. There are signs posted around the office promoting products and the doctors frequently try to sell some thing during the examination. That makes me uncomfortable and is really not professional. read more

The only reason I still come to this office is because of how good dr Sasloff is. She has great bed side manner, is knowledgeable and explains everything to the patient. The front staff is hit or miss, some know what they are doing but seems like most do not or are lazy. I do not get calls for follow up appts or when results are in. Example of issues with the front desk: I called to see the doctor and notified The front desk that I have a new ins and that I called the ins to update my pcp to their doctor and if they would like the ins info over the phone. She said no. Upon coming into the office I sign my name in and checked off that I have a new insurance. After waiting sometime I was then called to see the doctor without the front desk girl (Kymie I think) asking me for my new insurance information. Before going into the exam room I told her to take my ins card and that she should check it before I go in. She said its fine to go. After I see the doctor the same girl tells me that the pcp change didn't go through and if I don't make sure the ins changes it I will be responsible for the bill. Like Hellooo! I called and told you to double check it! The girl did not do HER JOB and had the nerve to tell me I would be responsible for HER MISTAKE. Smh she is not responsible enough to take care of the front desk by herself. Tip: do the front desk work yourself and don't rely on them to check your insurance or make your appts for exams and follow up appts. read more

After going to the same doctor for over 16 years, we switched to Arsenio Medical. The entire doctors office is very nice and efficient, in particular my doctor, Dr. Steven Jacobs. He is really special. Always upbeat and very thorough. He is a true professional. He does a wonderful job. I really recommend you see him. read more
