I've never been more disappointed with a radio station since they hired that lady Kira to take over the 10:00 am show I'm sure the ratings have gone way down, she is horrendous especially the way she speaks on the radio my employees were very offended by her disgusting remarks about peoples virginity maybe rewind the tape and listen to what she said. Mix 104 should be ashamed of themselves promoting that kind of behavior everything that comes out of her mouth is filth and she is very loud and not very lady like get rid of Kira bring she's no good for this show I'm applaud at that comment she made and she needs to be written up for her behavior I will start a petition to have her fired Listen up Kira has to be one of the most annoying people you've ever heard on this station you should have her calm down she's very disgusting and disrespectful I have a petition going on her and I have 125 signatures so far to remove her from this station she's out of control her voice is worse than nails on a chalkboard read more

I typically use Yelp to review businesses like restaurants, not radio stations. But I love Karson & Kennedy, so I figured why not review them the same way I would a new trendy eatery? When you're at K&K's, you're family, and not in the "we'll charge you too much for phony Italian food" way. The smiling face of Annie Dow greats you warmly and makes sure to get you a good table right away. She'll also make you laugh even if you feel bad her hostess salary means she is still living at home and probably makes out with the hunky bartender between shift changes. When it comes to service, Salt Mac gives you everything you need. And when you ask about the special, he's going to tell you honestly that it's not good. His boss wants him to push the special, but it's garbage and he's not going to lie to you about it. But if you're there on a date that isn't your spouse, don't tell him unless you want Matt Nathanson inadvertently breaking the news to the world. Chefs Karson and Kennedy compliment one another's styles by creating complex dishes with many flavors. Whether you're single or married, strong willed or whipped by your wife, monogamous or polyamorous, you will find relatable morsels every day. Even though the bathrooms have strange wallpaper and cars keep getting sideswiped in the parking lot, you'll be laughing too hard to notice. And last but never least, the rapping bus boy, Dan the Man, makes sure you leave with a smile on your face. He'll even wrap everything up for you in a doggy bag podcast. Ok, so he sleeps at the restaurant, but at least he doesn't drive home under the influence! Karson & Kennedy is a feast for the ears. Make them your go to neighborhood spot where everybody knows your name but might call you by their ex's name. read more

NOT a fan of John Lander, and his bogus stereotyping and homophobic comments. I wish they would fire him and replace him with Fast Freddy! This is commercialization at its worst. Yes the do play "A Mix" with very well placed commercial breaks. Do kinda like the nutcrackers though. read more

I'm actually a huge fan of this station and especially all the djs. I'm only taking off a star because I feel that they have been getting bad lately at overplaying songs to the point of my being really sick of them. They do have fun throwback times which I really enjoy, but overall songs are regularly overplayed and no longer enjoyable eventually. But the djs are fun! Kennedy feels like the gal pal you've always wanted and I love how she keeps the men in check. Salt is a little rough on air but really nice in person (besides CP will calm him down I'm sure). Karson seems like a genuine nice family man. I like that they are funny, sarcastic and fairly wholesome at the same time. And they have really fun segments. Only one I'm ready to retire is Roses (they know why!) Somebody give Producer Dan a raise because he is hilarious!! I'm liking Annie more and more as time passes, just keep the Jersey Shore and Kardashian talk to a minimum (imho). Erin is a total sweetheart and I love the camaraderie of Gregg, Freddy and Amanda. And Acoustic Sunrise is really relaxing on Sunday morning. All around- this station is the best!! read more

Great If You like waking up to living on a prayer blasting in your ear! Talk about waking up on the wrong side of the bed. Karson looks like the walking dead and Salt is pathetic he can't carry himself alone he needs to bounce off others. He basically just repeats what the other DJ's say but tries to rephrase so it sounds like an original thought.He did a "rumor has it" segment and was like a comedian on stage dying when nobody laughs at their jokes. He's a horribly annoying know it all! He's a wannabe hipster hack but you can tell underneath he's a huge gold digger looking for his sugar momma ticket. They over play current pop songs until you hate them or they play horrid 80's hair band crap. The worst station ever! read more

I still am not over how amusing it is to review radio stations. OK here are my two cents on this one: It's on my list of programmed stations and it's worth a listen to get an 80s fix mixed in with the usual top 40 stuff. They have taken to warning you before they play an 80s song with something along the lines of "We know you miss the 80s and we do to" and then they play the song. It's pretty fun to throw in some Def Leppard along with the usual stuff. I flick back to this one when KISS 108 is on one of their 15 minute commercial breaks. read more

Ii feel the need to write a review since many of the reviews on here are old and mention old radio personalities. I enjoy Mix 104.1 for its variety in music. They certainly play a lot of top 40, but they also add in 80's, 90's and 2000's so you feel like you can listen all day and it's not the same exact hourly rotation like on Kiss. They also don't tend to play harder hip hop songs, so it is usually more or less work appropriate. I really enjoy Karson, Kennedy, and Salt in the morning. Lately Angie has been joining the team, and it's even better! They have great camaraderie and fun segments like War of the Roses where they catch cheaters, and the Wicked Wake Up Call when they prank listeners' friends. The afternoon show is a lot of fun too, with the Wellesley Police blotter and Oops moments. I have listened to Mix for a long time, especially since FNX has been gone. I feel really entertained on my morning and afternoon drives! read more

Who doesn't love Karson with a K. Kennedy who knows it all and can't be beat. Salt who is always Salty and Annie from Quincy who is the best at traffic. You have to admit that you find yourself yelling "Lowell" or "Schooch" in the car with them in the morning (without being prompted). Cheering when Kennedy has a good date. Yelling at Karson for his wife or crying when Salt has his baby. Thanks guys for always starting my morning off with a laugh! read more

The music is a great variety and we all know how much Kennedy loves Friday free for all mixes that Karson does! i used to listen to lander and his crew years ago, but they pissed me off so much w/ their ignorant and homophobic chatter. i wrote them several emails about my concerns of them mindlessly spreading such crap over the airwaves. i stopped listening pretty soon after that and i guess a lot of other people did too since they're not as popular as they were then. but MIX gets an extra star for their sunday acoustic brunch. live, acoustic music is still nice to have in the background when you're having your sunday morning coffee. read more

Of course, they are now WWBX....but I listen to Karson and Kennedy (and now Salt and Annie) every morning, and have been since they started. They make me smile and laugh every morning on my way Into work. The station is in my regular rotation on my way home as well. They have awesome prizes for their listeners (Beach House, anyone?). I, myself, have won a trip to NYC for the red carpet premiere of the last Harry Potter movie when it came out in the US, and got a bill paid through the plastic payoff. I never fail to miss Can't Beat Kennedy (for the first 2 games...I'm at work for the third, and can't listen). They also have great ways to give back to the community with raising funds for Boston Children's and 1,000 (10,000) toys for girls and boys. read more
