Great find on Red Arrow for beautiful and eclectic furniture, art, pillows, etc. Takes New Buffalo to a whole other [read: Chicago] level.

Nice little store in western Michigan. I was in Union Pier to visit St. Julian Winery, and thought…read moresince I was in the area I'd see if I could find a plant stand somewhere. (How, with the rise of plant parenting during the pandemic, is this not a more readily available piece of furniture?). But don't you worry, I didn't leave empty handed--this store didn't have what I was looking for, but it had a lot of other great stuff. It's a little confusing when you get there, trying to figure out where to go in--or if, indeed, you should go in; I was really worried I was wandering around someone's private home. I'm almost positive it *was* a private home at on time, and they've used the space in a really cool way. When you wander through the store--which is pretty large, and PACKED with stuff--you'll find furniture, candles, silverware, dinnerware, blankets, pillows, tote bags, cookie cutters, greeting cards... just about any sort of gift or houseware item you might want. They also have as a part of their business custom furniture building, and they've used one of the rooms to display the different types of wood that you can choose for your furniture. That's so creative!! I really love how in the kitchen they still have old-school appliances like a dishwasher, refrigerator... I swear, I felt like I was in my grandma's home. And the counters are also used to display merchandise. I'm honestly just so astounded by how clever they used this space to make it wonderfully inviting. The thing I don't love about this store is that it doesn't have a website for anything beyond its woodworking arm, and they don't use ApplePay. I asked about both things, because I had wanted to buy a blanket as a gift, but realized I had the household card on me instead of my debit card. So I ended up only picking up a few items and left the blanket. I know that opting against e-commerce is a deliberate choice and they clearly don't need to venture online for their business to work, but it's too bad for folks like me who don't live near and are not going to make the trip to shop there. On the other hand, it does add to the charm. Review #599 - November 18, 2021 #ThankYouThursday2021

I have been coming here for many years and stop in whenever in town. The shop is located in the artsy part of the redeveloping original downtown and is a part of and reflects perfectly the downtown's eclectic character. The store is located in a great, older retail shop with a covered corner entry that lets them showcase some eye catching pieces to entice you inside. The vibe is slightly cluttered chic with distinct sections and it's easy to peruse based on what you might be looking for or discover things you weren't. I personally like that they are not too worried about "staging" like some places and just get the stuff out there. I am never disappointed at the amazing and eclectic collection of furniture, furnishings, decorations, art, books--almost anything you can think of and many things you wouldn't but glad you saw and bought. I always find something fun, useful, maybe even historical from some perspective, to take home. The owners are super friendly, very good humored (we usually have a yuck about something), and just nice to interact with. Depending on the piece, they may even be willing to entertain offers which is such smart business in this business. All-in-all this place is just fun and I always walk away feeling good about my purchase from both a value and price perspective but also from an interacting with the owners perspective. Check this place out!
